The design turned out just the way I wanted it. I received a modern trendy design from the team. The designer suggested how to modify and improve my ideas. I like that Purrweb does not do everything according to my comments, but they themselves offer somewhere more recent solutions. 

I really liked that they themselves are engaged in button naming and come up with exemplary texts for sections. Because of this, everything is moving forward much easier, I don’t have to sit and invent from scratch, but I can just give feedback already according to their template.

The manager was responsible and kept what he promised. It’s important to me that we don’t fly over budget. Every day they send me reports, for me this is a pleasant surprise. I thought that there would be updates based on the results of the sprint, and not every day. I find that it keeps everyone in a certain tone and helps to move at an optimal pace.

I wanted to meet a specific budget with this startup - therefore, at the design stage, the team offered options on how best to implement the interface so that it would not go beyond. I never had a good experience before because all of them took forever to work on my projects. The communication with all of them was bad or they didn't take my project as important so they focused on other projects.

We searched through multiple forums, and marketplaces looking for quality design partners to hire, however none that we came across seemed to have the level of quality, or experience that we were looking for. However one day while looking for design inspiration of Dribbble, we came across Purrweb's design portfolio and instantly knew that we wanted to speak with them.

Everything from their portfolio, Instagram, and website screamed professionalism and a deep knowledge of product design and development. Once we finally had our initial call with their Account Manager Kristina, we knew without a doubt that this was the vendor we wanted to work with.

The scope of our work was entirely UI/UX oriented. We kicked off the project with a detailed walkthrough of the goals we wanted to achieve, and the work to date we had done on the UX. From here we aligned on scope, deliverables, and estimated time needed for each.

Purrweb provided a mind-map to align on the different parts of the app, then black and white mockups to align on the functionality and layout of each page. Once we were in agreement, they proceeded to create the high fidelity mockups for each screen. The project ended with Purrweb creating a clickable prototype for us to demo the app.

The project was completed on-time, underbudget, and the overall experience of working with Purrweb exceeded our expectations. Of all of the partners we have worked with, Purrweb was by far the best.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was never an issue. We were always in constant communication with the Project Manager via slack or figma. We also had 1-2 weekly meetings with the project manager to review their progress, give feedback, or clarify requirements.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing was the experience that we had working with them. We never met in person and were in completely different time zones, 12 hours apart. Yet it felt like we had been working with them for years. It was not only a pleasure working with them, but it increased the comfortability between our teams. If we had an idea that broke a design best practice or could be done in a better way, Purrweb was not afraid to let us know and offer a better opinion. It felt like they were a partner and not just a vendor.

By doing this, they showed not only their professionalism but also concern for the client and the released product!

Our team is very excited to start working on the development with the design Purrweb provided us. The coders are happy, the sales people are happy, everyone is happy with the result, bearing in mind the fact that the project was really tough to implement. Many flows, many user journeys, many mobile devices, many color schemes.

The management process was very transparent to us, at first we were concerned about the whole remote work, we thought it might be difficult, but the Purrweb managers made us feel very comfortable.

We still wonder about the amount of effort guys from Purrweb put into project management and trying to make your project better, instead of just completing the request they received.

Initially, we thought the minor delay of delivering the design could be a problem but it actually went the other way around. All the excessive time was spent improving our project and all the blind spots left by us. Summing up, everything went great!

Purrweb did a great job in my opinion. We are happy with the results we got so far. Unfortunately we had to stop the project due to internal issues from our side. But we will be happy to return to them as soon as we are ready to continue!

Project management style is ok. We had a few iterations of finding the best reporting type and timeline, and came up with the solution that works for both of us. Guys are open to any means of communication, which is very suitable.
