I’m the director of the perinatal data center for a nonprofit organization in their science and strategy division.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with PRI?

We first hired them to develop a data sharing site for maternal and child health indicators on a number of geographies and indicators. Since then, we have worked with PRI for about a decade through three different revisions of the website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We engage when we need a new component or a site revision. I meet with PRI’s president and relevant team members to discuss the project goals and framework. Subsequently, they follow up with scope tweaks, approach suggestions, and delivery estimates. In the past, the team has collaborated on UX design, documentation, and execution. Last year, they added a database to a new responsive section of the website; the team also kept the design within our branding specifications. Additional services have included technical development, conceptual work, planning, and project management.

What is the team composition?

Each project has a different team–ranging from two-to-four resources–and a project manager.

How did you come to work with PRI?

I was not here when the company hired them. I know PRI participated in a competitive bid process, but I’m unsure about the deciding factors.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2008 and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The database aided growth in a critical month and received positive internal feedback for its accessible design. Our team also enjoys the site’s overall clean look and feel.

How did PRI perform from a project management standpoint?

They provide outstanding customer service for a variety of concurrent projects at different stages. No matter the project, PRI is always accommodating and realistic about timelines and cost. We have structured weekly conference calls and meet in-person at least once a year. We also use Teamwork for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is proactive and upfront about delays; they also accommodate any schedule changes on our end. Everyone at PRI has a positive and energetic attitude. They want to understand the client’s needs and are willing to help in any way.

Any advice for potential customers?

Since PRI approaches projects as our long-term partner, prospective clients should keep duration in mind when they consider working with them. They’re at the top of our list, but each company needs to identify the kind of dynamic they want.

We hired PRI to help us with a branding guide and create 5 websites. We liked the relationship so much that we continued on with using them as our designers for Advertising and SEO specialists.

Our whole business relies on our website. They collaborated with us and gave us good insight into how a website flows and functions.

The project management is executed excellently. They are fast and efficient and delegate to the proper person to have a task done.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Not only are they VERY talented in what they do but they are such amazing individuals to work with. There is an honest team effort and they make it fun and easy.

We love working with these guys. I highly recommend them to others.
