BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Selective Export SL, based in Spain. We focus on gourmet foods, and our main brand is E'do Olive Oil. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Prospekt Agency?

Our main goal was to showcase the brand on social media. Whenever we do live events like trade shows, we get the chance to explain our products in person. It's harder to get all the characteristics of the products across our e-commerce platform. We needed our online content to be as self-explanatory and eye-catching as possible.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

My requirements were specifically for content creation, and not so much for strategy, but Prospekt Agency always guided me on how to use the content. For example, I wanted photos for Instagram to be in a vertical format, but they proposed also doing bigger, wide-frame versions that I could crop as needed.

What is the team composition?

I mainly interacted with Natalie (Sales & Marketing Manager), and I also had deep discussions with Nik (Founder & Creative Director) on how I wanted everything done. I discussed the more technical details with him, such as how to get a good level of shininess on the images, and I went to Natalie for the day to day things.

How did you come to work with Prospekt Agency?

I’d worked with them 10 years ago, when I was at a large multinational company, so I knew how good they were.

How much have you invested with them?

The first proposal was for €6,000–€7,000, and I’ve had them do some tweaks outside the budget. The total was around €8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The first discussions were in late-August 2020, and we released everything in October 2020. The main project is over, but I’m always asking them for tweaks and new renders.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The content is for the Black Friday and Christmas campaigns, which haven’t started yet. Prospekt Agency gave us what we wanted, and they were really detail-focused. I went to them specifically because I wanted the skillsets they have. The content is amazing, and I really look forward to pushing it on social media.

How did Prospekt Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

I usually send them emails or call them. They’re also available on Skype if I want to have a video call and take a closer look at the work. I usually just give them a debrief on email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They really try to make the best out of what I need, in the timeframe I have. I had a bit more time on this project, but they still delivered everything in a month.

I’ve seen agencies take years for this kind of work. I’m usually okay with having more generic renders and putting the rest of the effort into other places, and they’re super flexible in that respect. Prospekt also makes sound recommendations, like putting imagery as a background to avoid rendering material when users won't see the difference.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve always told them that they should show me whatever they have, even if it’s just quick and dirty. I know that rendering takes a lot of computing time, and I prefer to save time by viewing raw versions. It’s a minor topic, and Prospekt Agency delivered on time in the end.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be open-minded and listen to Prospekt Agency. They’re experts, and we marketers can become stubborn about what we want. Prospekt is good at not only understanding what we need but also finding a way to get there. They don’t just follow briefings word by word.
