I’m the owner and founder of a soap company that sells products on Amazon. We started with one soap category, but we’re going to expand to another one in the near future.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prophase Marketing?

I didn’t have a lot of social media presence. As a result, I didn’t have a good footing on social media when I started my company. I needed a digital marketing company to help me get the business off the ground and build a social media presence for my brand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prophase primarily creates content and imagery that we can post on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. 

Every month, they send me a file of different social media posts. I then give my feedback on what I think should be changed in terms of imagery, texts, language, and theme for the brand’s narrative. Once I give them the green light, they schedule the file for online posting. They boost some of the posts to gain more visibility. 

What is the team composition?

I work directly with their content creator, but I’ve also worked with a sales supervisor when we set up the agreement. 

How did you come to work with Prophase Marketing?

I found Prophase through online research. 

How much have you invested with them?

We pay around $389 per month, including ad spend. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in June 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve garnered some visibility and followers on social media. I attribute some of our Amazon sales to Prophase’s work because many posts directly link to Amazon. 

How did Prophase Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

Our work process is quite straightforward. They send me the posts, I give my feedback, and then they publish them online. I can veto the content or give them pictures, images, or articles that I want them to reference. To communicate, we use emails. I usually get a response from them within 24 hours. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Prophase provides a turnkey solution, so it’s easy for a small business owner like me to leverage their services. I have a full-time job, so I don’t have much time to focus on creating social media content.  As a result, it’s great that I can tell them the theme and culture of the brand I want to create, and they simply take it and run with it. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'd like to have access to more social media platforms like TikTok.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve taken our existing customer database to Prophase for them to grow it. We’ve used their integration with Constant Contact to automate our emails. Typically, I write the email copy, but they allow me to be creative within their platform. Apart from emails, they also handle our direct mail and snail mail campaigns. On top of that, we use some of their apps. 

What is the team composition?

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, my main contact in Prophase is no longer there. However, I’ve worked with several people in different positions on their team. I’ve interfaced with Bobbie (Customer Service Support Manager) and Laurie (Account Executive). 

How did you come to work with Prophase Marketing?

I met Prophase 20 years ago through a marketing seminar in Seattle, Washington. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’m on a subscription for their loyalty program, so the investment depends on our monthly needs and how much we’re mailing. We spend as much as $6,000 per month and as little as $1,000 per month. For the most part, I’ve spent at least $50,000 per year on their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2002, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve doubled our client database and sales over the course of 4–5 years. We currently have 10,000 active members and over 20,000 total customers. 

How did Prophase Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

Prophase is right on the money. They’ve never gone over budget with me and are always ahead of schedule. I typically communicate with the account representative via email; we also do occasional phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their loyalty program integrates with my point-of-sale provider. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take Prophase up on their introductory offers. Utilize all the available tools they offer and decide which ones work after trying them.

I’m a former social media strategist at the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF).

What challenge were you trying to address with Prophase Marketing?

We hired them for social media marketing (SMM).

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prophase Marketing provided us with SMM. First, I shared our audience persona and guidelines regarding images and social media copy. Every month, I would send them a grid of topics and links from our website that we wanted to promote on social media. On a weekly basis, they created content that included images and copy and sent it to me for approval. Once approved, they would post the content on Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram stories. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with Paige (Social Media Team Lead), who acted as our content strategist. We also had contact with a sales representative. 

How did you come to work with Prophase Marketing?

I found their website and called for a consultation. We chose Prophase Marketing because of their service and pricing, which fit our budget as a nonprofit. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $8,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from February–September 2021. Although I left the organization, I believe they still work with Prophase Marketing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

During the project, our impressions and engagement grew. Although I was enacting other strategies, Prophase Marketing’s work helped with these results. Thanks to their help, we had more content out there, especially on Twitter, which helped boost our presence and awareness. Since we were a nonprofit, we didn’t have a big budget for social media, and they offered great value for money, leading to a good ROI.

How did Prophase Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great at project management. We had a shared file with a content calendar and schedule, so we knew exactly what they would post and when. They delivered content for me to review every week — it was a very smooth process. We communicated through emails, phone calls, and shared Google Drive documents. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Prophase Marketing team was very professional; the content creation representatives were great and had a very good disposition to work on any edits we may have. They had a great attitude and were proactive, which I really liked. Overall, I enjoyed working with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their admin work could have improved to be as good as the content creation site. Their communication regarding contracts wasn’t that smooth; I often had to repeat our requirements. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The content calendar is good support, but you must also have your own strategy, vision, and target metrics. If you have that, Prophase Marketing is a good company to hire.

I’m a co-president at The RHG Group. My two other partners and I are comprehensive financial advisors at Prudential Financial.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prophase Marketing?

We were looking to establish an online presence. We wanted people to be able to find us on Google and have somewhere where they could land and look at our services and background. Overall, we wanted to give off a professional image and attract clients to grow our business even further.

We started the foundation of our website with one of my partner’s friends. Unfortunately, she fell into some complicated personal circumstances, so she wasn’t committed at the time. We waited a long time for her, but we really needed to build the site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we got the foundation from the previous vendor, and Prophase Marketing built the website using Duda and GoDaddy. We’re currently in the final phases, getting the last touches and going through a corporate review to see what they want to change or add. We have to push back from them and take the corrections to Prophase Marketing. Then, we must submit it again to corporate to ensure they like everything. Eventually, corporate will give the control number to put onto the website and allow it to go live. 

Also, they’ve done SEO, social media marketing, and PPC. Due to the privacy of our industry, all our leads have to come organically through SEO. We spend a lot of money with Prophase Marketing to drive clients to our website.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with four people, including Cole (Web Developer) and Brittany (Customer Experience Team Lead). In the beginning, someone handed us over to David (Product Marketing Manager). Since then, he has been quarterbacking our project. David is in charge of bringing on the other team members and getting us in touch with the right people.

How did you come to work with Prophase Marketing?

Our previous vendor recognized that she couldn’t complete our project, so we needed to find a company that could continue from there. My wife was also in the process of creating her own website. She came across Prophase Marketing and recommended speaking to them. We reached out and fell in love with their approach and team, so we contracted them.

Overall, we felt they understood what we were looking for and would be able to deliver exactly what we wanted. Also, the price was a strong point. Other people asked for $12,000 for what they were offering. Considering the cost and effectiveness Prophase Marketing could bring, everyone was subpar.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $1,100.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in February 2021 and are in the final stages. We would’ve already completed it if we didn’t have to involve corporate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site is still under development, but thanks to the Google Business profile they’ve set, we’re already getting about 30–40 hits per day. In July, we had 962 views. Overall, they’ve done an excellent job facilitating our website.

How did Prophase Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They fill us in every week on what they’re doing and what’s the next step. When they need us to do something, they let us know. They’ve built an entire timeline, and it’s very accurate. The only delay was on our end; we had to get new headshots and group shots for the website, so they couldn’t move forward until we got those done. However, their turnaround has been exceedingly fast. Overall, there’s been communication throughout the whole project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their personality is outstanding; we like the easiness of doing business with them. They’re very helpful, and we’ve connected with them on a personal level. We’ve been impressed with their demeanors and outlook. They’ve been receptive to everything we’ve brought up; they don’t argue with us or say it won’t work. Instead, they suggest other options. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although it’s not their fault, the only thing that has been tough on our end is their industry jargon. They’ve tried their best, but they don’t really know our industry. They tried to create content for us, but it wasn’t working. We spent a lot of time writing the content again because they didn’t know what needed to be written to attract clients.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re looking for someone to bring your ideas to life, Prophase Marketing is great at listening and executing. Don’t come in with a blank slate; know what you’re looking to accomplish. They can take that and run with it.

I’m the senior marketing manager for The Lead, an event and media company focusing on retail innovation.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prophase Marketing?

We had a big event coming up, and I was the only person on the marketing team. Hence, we brought Prophase Marketing on board for their PPC services and to help us ensure the success of the event.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we had an introductory call with Prophase Marketing to discuss what we needed to be done and what they needed from us. From there, they provided us with direction on our existing Google Ads. They basically told us what worked and what didn't work in terms of our ad’s visuals, copy, and content. Their team also helped us put together a LinkedIn Ads campaign and worked closely with us on keyword research.

We just worked with David (Product Marketing Manager). 

How did you come to work with Prophase Marketing?

I worked with Prophase Marketing before at my previous company, and I really liked the work they did then. For that reason, I decided to work with them again on this project.

We worked together on this project from April–July 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Through Prophase Marketing’s PPC efforts, we were able to generate over 1.3 million impressions at the end of our event. We also started ranking high for our selected keywords.

How did Prophase Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They did a good job of managing the project. We loved working with David — he was responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, and always available for meetings. Overall, he provided us with great support. For communication, we used email and Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were most impressed with their commitment to our project. In particular, David made us feel that we were his top priority by putting a lot of time and effort into meeting our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

I don’t have any constructive feedback — everything they did was really good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to touch base with them frequently to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
