Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of marketing for a home goods retailer. We are a leading large manufacturer in kitchen, bath, and home goods. We manufacture steam showers, walk-in, and drop-in tubs, as well as freestanding tubs for the consumer and trades.
What challenge were you trying to address with Profit Labs?
All of our business is done online. Our business is generated by creating awareness and driving traffic to our site and the retail partners that we support. We sell our products at Home Depot, Lowes, Overstock, Wayfair, Walmart, and even Amazon.
We have a number of websites that drive traffic to retail websites. They act as a virtual showroom and give customers additional information and support for those private labels that we own and sell through retailers. We also have a number of e-commerce websites where we sell direct-to-consumer.
We hired them for digital advertising support.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have been working with them since July 2016 on various PPC and SEO campaigns. Over the years, they have worked on multiple website properties for SEO and our top brand. They have also been working on several e-commerce related PPC campaigns for us.
As we develop new channel opportunities, we continue to evolve the brand and our breadth of offerings.
They help in ways that are outside of their scope. We had some transition in the IT area as well, and they brought stability to the account and our company in fulfilling some gaps that we have right now as we secure an outside firm to support our IT initiatives.

We work with Ron (CEO). He has additional staff, but he is my key contact.
How did you come to work with Profit Labs?
They were already working with my company when I started in my role. Ron knew the account and he knew the organization.
What is the status of this engagement?
The company started working with them in July 2016, and we are still working with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve increased our traffic significantly, as much as 90%. From the time that they got involved with us, they have been able to get specific keywords and phrases for us in highly competitive categories. They have evolved the online strategy to be more sophisticated and really drive direct results as a part of that.
How did Profit Labs perform from a project management standpoint?
I am on the phone with Ron daily and we’re very active in watching our spending and making adjustments.
Their turnaround time is very good which is very important in the retail sector. I can always get a hold of him, and he always gives me the time that I need. I appreciate that.
We use Asana, and they’re very attentive. We get off a phone call and within minutes, I have an email that is full of details. They’re very focused on what the specific tasks are and driving meetings to be very productive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I haven’t been able to stump them. If Ron doesn’t know the answer, he says he will get back to us and will find a solution for it. He always figures it out. He is able to keep up with our fast-paced business which is saying a lot. They have been a great partner, and I’m a big fan.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They have been responsive. For me, it’s not really what they can do better. As we continue to grow and meet our new growth goals in this market which is very competitive, I am always looking for innovation and new ways to attack the market. Right now, they meet all of our goals and then some for me. They’re adaptable and do great work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The proof is in performance and SEO, and in developing these campaigns. I would say give Ron and the group an opportunity. What I like is that it is no-frills – they get it, and they get the results. I like that.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a mobility product marketplace. We sell mobility products to seniors — primarily wheelchairs, walkers, furniture, and electric scooters. As an e-commerce business, our main customer channel is through SEO and Google AdWords.
What challenge were you trying to address with Profit Labs™️?
We formerly had an internal employee handling our Google AdWords between a 6x–8x ROI. In efforts to increase our ROI, we decided to go the outsourcing route and find a new agency.
We have thousands of products on the site and weren’t focused on any particular one. Our team was trying to sell anything on the site and the general mandate was to have an 8x ROI. We wanted someone to handle our search keywords and Google Shopping feeds.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Profit Labs™️ handles our SEO and PPC services. At the beginning of the project, they took the time to learn about our different categories of products and price points. They then identified the products that would sell and meet the requirements for an 8x ROI. I’m not exactly sure of their methods or if they used an algorithm or something, all I cared about were the results.
What is the team composition?
My main contact has only been Ron (CEO, Profit Labs™️). I know he has others working with him, but I’ve only communicated with him. I like that I don’t have to talk to anyone else.

I belong to an e-commerce technology group email chain. In an email, I had expressed my frustration with our former agency and somebody reached out. They said they were working with Ron on a project and recommended his services to me. I was willing to give Ron a try and reached out to him. Everything fell into place.

I invest between $25,000–$30,000 a year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Profit Labs™️ in November 2018, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Ron exceeded the ROI that we had originally set. Profit Labs™️’s efforts have consistently given us around a 14x ROI. We’re constantly looking at daily sales data conversion rates and how the AdWords are performing. If there’s a day or two that the performance is low, Ron does a quick review and the performance increases within 2–3 days every time.
Profit Labs™️ is always proactive about trying new approaches, and if they don’t work, they shut it down. We’ve tried other efforts such as social media marketing and it didn’t work for our target audience. Right now, Google AdWords and Google Shopping feed are the only ones we do.
Ron is very responsive and takes us very seriously. He’ll often try to answer other questions and handle other tasks he’s not responsible for. He gives great customer service. Ron is extremely patient and doesn’t get upset or angry.
I really like that he has a flat rate. With other agencies, the more you spend, the more they charge. Ron has never done this. He has no incentive to make me spend more money than what’s necessary. I’ve noticed that he’s very cautious about me blowing my money away. He’s very honest about when I should spend and when I should hold back.
How did Profit Labs™️ perform from a project management standpoint?
Ron always picks up his phone when I call. Often times, I call him freaking out about something, but he’s always very patient, calm, and reassuring — even when I’m not. He’s always free to answer my questions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Responsiveness is his most impressive trait. Ron is always quick to respond.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything. I’d like to meet him in person and grab a coffee though.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
As long as you’re not my competitor, you should hire him!
