I’m the co-founder of Gymshim, a software company. We’re also an aggregator for gym memberships; we help customers find gyms nearby their locations.

What challenge were you trying to address with PRODT Consulting Services?

India is the second most populated country, and people aren’t keen on paying for gym memberships. Due to this, we’re suffering from various diseases like diabetes. Doctors say you must work out three days a week to be fit. We wanted to help with this issue by making sure gym memberships were affordable and convenient for most people and that people could share their membership with friends and family.

Also, there’s a global problem with gym retention. We wanted to ensure that gyms were making more money and more people were joining them. We needed someone to help develop a web app and a gamified mobile app to help with these issues.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PRODT Consulting Services has developed our web app and our gamified mobile application. The mobile app is built for Android and iOS. Initially, they brainstormed and prepared a demo. Then, they moved on to doing screens and the ideation phase.

What is the team composition?

We interact with 5–6 people, including business analysts, developers, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with PRODT Consulting Services?

We found them through word of mouth. We asked for quotations from various companies. The difference was that they came up with a solution on how we could transform the gamification part into gym attendance.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $5,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their feedback is incredible. We’ve never seen a company as prompt as them. Whatever we discuss, they come with a solution. The team is very intellectual.

How did PRODT Consulting Services perform from a project management standpoint?

They get back to us promptly and give the proper feedback at the right time. We use Slack to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They work really hard and are a solution-oriented company.

They could improve on the design side.

Prepare yourself before the meetings and scrum calls. They will have various questions to ask you.

I’m the founder of Up-Tix, a technology startup. We’ve built a learning experiences platform for students that provides them with a holistic learning experience.

What challenge were you trying to address with PRODT Consulting Services?

We partnered with PRODT to build this platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PRODT is the technology partner helping us build our platform. Initially, we provided them with the documentation needed for them to execute the project, including a set of wireframes that our team of designers had designed. Then, they were in charge of converting those wireframes into the features and applications we needed.

Our platform has multiple features, including a student registration system, competition programs, a chat functionality, a video call functionality, and an administrative portal. PRODT has built it as a cloud-based platform on WEM, a local platform. They decided to build it on a low-code platform so that they could create apps very quickly, which was what we were looking for. As for now, we’ve built a web app and a mobile app for Android.

Additionally, PRODT has helped us set up our Google Analytics account, which we will integrate with our website. They’ve also developed some digital marketing capabilities, which we will leverage as well. Moving forward, they will also be in charge of further development and maintenance.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with different people from PRODT at different stages of the project. During the development stage, we worked with three full-time resources and a project manager who coordinated all the activities.

One of my friends referred me to them. After reaching out to them and discussing my ideas, I was confident with the solutions they presented.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent roughly $25,000 on the project so far.

What is the status of the engagement?

We began our partnership in November 2020, and we’re still engaged.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of our most successful metrics is the number of features built and the number of bugs identified and resolved. In the last 15 months, whenever we’ve launched new features, we’ve identified fewer bugs than expected in traditional development.

Currently, we’re holding a competition on our platform with over 3,000 students, and the registrations are going on. We've signed up for two more clients, so the number of students will be more than 5,000 per competition. Soon, we will have close to 15,000 active users on the platform participating in this competition. 

So far, the feedback has been good. Our customers and students are thrilled with the platform because PRODT has helped us keep it as simple as possible without compromising the learning experience.

How did PRODT Consulting Services perform from a project management standpoint?

PRODT has met the timelines very well. The team is always available when needed, and they offer effective communication. We communicate via Slack and Zoom, and they use JIRA to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

PRODT is so committed to the development work that they’ve been able to retain the same resources we’ve worked with since the beginning.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if PRODT improved their documentation so that when we move forward, no information is required.

Any advice for potential customers?

Communicate what you want to achieve, and they will deliver. If you provide them with precise requirements and designs, be sure that the outcome will be perfect.

We searched online for IT consultancy and we selected PRODT after interviewing them and evaluating their work, of course we had interviewed 5 other companies but we selected based on the package and experience

Most of the things were completed in time, we mostly communicated via online tools but they visited our office to ensure we are aligned, communication was great whenever we ask we get a response or acknowledgment immediately

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Everything, time taken to go through the process was more than the agreed time in the SoW. The efforts to ensure the timeliness were highly appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We wanted to give them more projects but it was outside their scope.
