I’m the co-founder of Gymshim, a software company. We’re also an aggregator for gym memberships; we help customers find gyms nearby their locations.
What challenge were you trying to address with PRODT Consulting Services?
India is the second most populated country, and people aren’t keen on paying for gym memberships. Due to this, we’re suffering from various diseases like diabetes. Doctors say you must work out three days a week to be fit. We wanted to help with this issue by making sure gym memberships were affordable and convenient for most people and that people could share their membership with friends and family.
Also, there’s a global problem with gym retention. We wanted to ensure that gyms were making more money and more people were joining them. We needed someone to help develop a web app and a gamified mobile app to help with these issues.
What was the scope of their involvement?
PRODT Consulting Services has developed our web app and our gamified mobile application. The mobile app is built for Android and iOS. Initially, they brainstormed and prepared a demo. Then, they moved on to doing screens and the ideation phase.

Code deployement optimisation and automation
A large Malaysian bank headquartered in Kuala Lumpur and operating in high-growth economies in ASEAN. We were tasked to create a Landing Zone Environment that will host the workloads under a secure AWS infrastructure.
PROBLEM STATEMENT: Setup a secure multi-account AWS infrastructure with hybrid connectivity to On-Prem infrastructure. Should have provisions to accommodate additional future AWS accounts with full compliance.
OUTCOME:
- Setting up Hybrid infrastructure for client.
- Increase manageability in account & user management because of AWS Organisations.
- Automated infrastructure in AWS using Terraform. Reduced infrastructure deployment time to 1 hour.

Infrastructure Process Automation
Our client was on a mission to remove paper-based work from the office. They provide digital solutions to automate the customer interaction process. We achieved this automation by setting up CI/CD, Code analysis, and migration of on-prem applications using EKS (Kubernetes).
PROBLEM STATEMENT: Though the client had some part of their infrastructure on cloud, automation was missing. Also, their technology stack was scattered over different tools like Nexus for Artefact management, Dockerhub for storing docker images, lack of centralized monitoring and logging, and CICD was non-existent.
This distributed stack created challenges in delivery because of multiple moving parts which are not streamlined with each other and needed more expertise to deploy simple applications.
OUTCOME:
- Containerised an application using AWS EKS (Kubernetes) so that it can be deployed to the client AWS account seamlessly.
- Moved DevOps stack from multiple tools to AWS.
- Automated infrastructure creation using AWS Cloudformation in 30 minutes for each application.
- Setup code analysis using SonarQube to reduce technical debt.

Infra Audit, CI/CD Optimisation and Monitoring.
Client is focused on provisioning custom solutions to their clients with serverless development. ProDT asissted the client for setting up CICD pipelines, centralised monitoring, and logging.
PROBLEM STATEMENT:
The client was facing unexpected downtimes because of infrastructure failures and increase in delivery times due to failures in legacy jenkins jobs. We did the complete Infrastructure and Jenkins audit for the whole setup.
The Jenkins server and plugins were not updated for more than 2 years which was causing challenges during delivery. ProDT streamlined all the build jobs for the respective environments by migrating them to AWS DevOps Services like codepipeline, codedeploy and codebuild. Enabled logging and monitoring for the production environment to retrieve the data whenever there is a problem with the server
OUTCOME:
- Migrated deployment jobs from Jenkins to AWS DevOps. Thereby removing unexpected build failures.
- Set up centralised logging(ELK) and monitoring (Prometheus + Grafana). Streamlined non-production server uptimes and reduced costs by 30%.
- Enabled Logging and monitoring for serverless infrastructure.

Infra Migration and CI/CD Automation
ABOUT:

- Infrastructure migration and Containerization using Azure AKS.
- Setting up deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Developers are able to deploy their own environments on AKS in a few minutes for testing new features of the application or test large datasets on the backend.
- Reduced time for separate environment deployment for each customer. Developer or customer can login their respective environments.

Azure IP Tunneling
Manipal Hospitals is the second largest Hospital chain in India. ProDT was tasked to create an “Inoculation Drive '' mobile-enabled custom web solution that manages COVID-19 vaccination campaigns across the country. The application has three interfaces, one for the hospital to create and manage campaigns, second interface for the B2C users to register themselves for these vaccination drives. The third interface is with Manipal Hospitals ERP solution and internal billing system that interfaces and synchronises new users, patient data, and billing information.
PROBLEM STATEMENT: To create a robust infrastructure that can handle the unpredictable spikes in traffic on the application without any SPOF.
SOLUTION: Azure Virtual Network, IPSec Tunneling, Azure Autoscale.
OUTCOME:
- We implemented a scalable solution that could handle thousands of bookings for vaccination in a short span of time without major cost implications.
- We had to connect to the client network over IPSec tunnel to make API calls that contained sensitive client data. No. of Bookings done - Approx. 50,000, No. of Emails Sent - Approx 80,000.

Elastic Search Implemenation
A unique solution was created for Korea's second-largest consumer products company. This is a search engine solution that gives users split-second search response times for thousands of data keywords, and relevant keywords using AI.
PROBLEM STATEMENT: The client needed a search functionality implemented for a huge inventory list of beauty products for a new site which could also support auto-completion, prioritising frequent searches, and adding ranking to different search results so that they can be manipulated using AI/ML in further optimisations.
There were more than 7000 products along with hundreds of relevant keywords for each product which needed predictive search for frequent searches with split-second responses. We also needed to add search functionality for product formulas, and ingredients along with guided search.
OUTCOMES: By the end of this implementation, the client was able to do.
- Searches per day- 300-400 per day.
- Number of users being served- 100-150 per day.
- Size of inventory- Approx. 7400.
- Response time- Search(one api call): 300ms average Search + recommended keyword (two api call): 700ms average.

Infrastucture reporting and dashboarding.
One of the biggest telecom companies in India had approx. 4500-5000 servers hosted in an on-prem data center. These servers have different operating systems, applications servers, and hardware used for hosting. Because of the sensitive nature of data, this setup was subjected to compliance checks specified by the regulatory authority. Every month we would execute Ansible playbooks for each server with more than 350 checks and make necessary changes to achieve full compliance.
PROBLEM STATEMENT: Creating a detailed report & visualisation dashboards of overall compliance status was a humongous task and needed several resources working manually only for this purpose. Getting just-in-time report of present compliance status was nearly impossible
It was difficult to aggregate data points across multiple checks. For eg., compliance status for only RHEL7 servers for disk mount checks, Result for memory check (Ch 357) for all servers, No. of servers compliant today vs yesterday etc.
Creating a separate report for Business users, System administrators, and Auditors which should also be available in different formats (CSV, PDF, JSON)
OUTCOMES: By the end of this implementation, client was able to:
- Get a detailed report on visualisation dashboards about compliance status at any point in time.
- Track the changes in compliance status on granular level for any parameter. Different dashboards for different user roles reduced the efforts for report generation.
- Search for any datapoint related to compliance using Search functionality provided by us.
- Manipulate the data generated by Ansible playbooks for using in search.

I’m the founder of Up-Tix, a technology startup. We’ve built a learning experiences platform for students that provides them with a holistic learning experience.
What challenge were you trying to address with PRODT Consulting Services?
We partnered with PRODT to build this platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
PRODT is the technology partner helping us build our platform. Initially, we provided them with the documentation needed for them to execute the project, including a set of wireframes that our team of designers had designed. Then, they were in charge of converting those wireframes into the features and applications we needed.
Our platform has multiple features, including a student registration system, competition programs, a chat functionality, a video call functionality, and an administrative portal. PRODT has built it as a cloud-based platform on WEM, a local platform. They decided to build it on a low-code platform so that they could create apps very quickly, which was what we were looking for. As for now, we’ve built a web app and a mobile app for Android.
Additionally, PRODT has helped us set up our Google Analytics account, which we will integrate with our website. They’ve also developed some digital marketing capabilities, which we will leverage as well. Moving forward, they will also be in charge of further development and maintenance.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with different people from PRODT at different stages of the project. During the development stage, we worked with three full-time resources and a project manager who coordinated all the activities.

One of our most successful metrics is the number of features built and the number of bugs identified and resolved. In the last 15 months, whenever we’ve launched new features, we’ve identified fewer bugs than expected in traditional development.
Currently, we’re holding a competition on our platform with over 3,000 students, and the registrations are going on. We've signed up for two more clients, so the number of students will be more than 5,000 per competition. Soon, we will have close to 15,000 active users on the platform participating in this competition.
So far, the feedback has been good. Our customers and students are thrilled with the platform because PRODT has helped us keep it as simple as possible without compromising the learning experience.

PRODT has met the timelines very well. The team is always available when needed, and they offer effective communication. We communicate via Slack and Zoom, and they use JIRA to manage the project.
