We looked for experts in the field of litigation PR and legal PR and there are not much firms having such expertise. Deep knowledge of the industry was a must. Pro Business Consulting has always been an accomplished player in the CEE online legal PR market.

We needed help in building our name, brand, and visibility in the market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

During the initial weeks of our partnership with Pro / Lawyer Consulting, we thought of strategies on how we could achieve our goals. First, we targeted legal and economic journals. Then, we organized an event for our existing and potential clients. After that, we offered seminars on specific legal topics and used those as a marketing opportunity. 

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our efforts, but we continue to have webinars and online conferences. Pro / Lawyer Consulting is helping us with both strategy and implementation. Additionally, they help us to monitor, follow up, and adjust our campaigns as needed. 

Sometimes, Pro / Lawyer Consulting organizes press conferences to raise awareness about our brand. Most of the time, they reach out to publications, but sometimes they conduct huge press events to gain the attention of a wider audience.

hat evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are satisfied with Pro / Lawyer Consulting’s services so far. For example, when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out last year, they immediately urged us to publish content about labor laws. Within weeks, we received inquiries from existing and potential clients to advise them in those matters.

How did Pro / Lawyer Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Pro / Lawyer Consulting is good at meeting deadlines. They are proactive, and they provide suggestions and conduct follow-ups. 

I have a conference call with their team every Tuesday to monitor our activities and give feedback. We communicate via email, telephone, and video conference. Before the pandemic, we also had in-person meetings — we will have them again once the situation permits. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pro / Lawyer Consulting is not just a PR agency — they specialize in working with law firms. In fact, their managing partner is a lawyer, and 90% of their clients are legal firms. They understand how legal professionals work, and that distinguishes them from a typical PR agency. I don’t know any other PR agency that specializes in legal services providers. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re very satisfied working with them. However, it would be better if they can lower their prices.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I confidently recommend Pro / Lawyer Consulting to any law firm. However, you need to be engaged and determined if you’re working with them. PR work is a marathon, not a sprint — you won’t reach your brand goals within a month or even half a year. Be patient and determined. PR agencies can’t do it all by themselves — they will need content and input from their clients.

I’m a name partner at Bán & Karika Attorneys at Law, a Hungarian legal firm.

We needed some branding materials as well as help with our content marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mate (Managing Partner, Pro Business Consulting) creates 10–20 PR materials per week. Primarily, he ensured the consistency of our publication activity. He’s offered ideas for new outlets and portals through which we could publish our legal-minded texts.

We committed to publishing two pieces per month. In addition to publication assistance, Mate has also helped us gather branding materials—like logos, brochures, business cards, and even our website.

Pro Business Consulting also helped us manage the events—“legal breakfasts,” anniversary dinners, client receptions, and other presentations—that we host every month. Mate provided tactics for client acquisition, and we based our proposals and reports on these ideas.

After examining the Hungarian market, we came across Pro Business Consulting. We’d known Mate previously and was aware that he’d worked with some bigger law firms in Budapest. He’s an active player in the fields of PR and marketing. While we weren’t initially sure whether we needed a PR consultant, we heard his proposals and negotiated our business with him.

We started working together in June 2016, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve come to heavily depend on Mate. Even though we weren’t certain we needed PR assistance, we’ve been very happy with Mate’s services. He’s continued to provide unique ideas and has been able to generate leads. His activities and publications have directly led to new clients. It’s been a valuable cooperation for us.

How did Pro Business Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

We conduct a weekly meeting with Mate, where we discuss all developments. We also keep track of progress through an online chart of our marketing and PR activities. Our office manager generally oversees Mate’s activities.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mate exhibits a great depth of understanding on the Hungarian legal. Because of his past experience working with established firms, he has numerous knowledge navigating different publication portals.

He also has great connections with large businesses and institutions, which facilitate his PR efforts. We’re very happy that he’s taken PR activities off of our plates. Without him, we don’t know where we’d be, on that front.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since we’re lawyers that like to focus solely on legal work, it’s hard for us to stay on top of our PR activities. We would appreciate it if he was more proactive in some of the tasks that our law firm is inactive with. It’d be great if he could be more aggressive in pushing us to proceed with different marketing materials.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Throughout our engagement, we’ve learned that we need to focus more on our PR activity. He’s our sole support and resource, and he alone isn’t capable of pulling everything together. We know now that we need to collaborate and cooperate with him to get the best out of his services.

I am a senior associate of a law firm, which firm is working for construction companies. As per my supervision the firm's litigation practice is growing fast, as I'm appointed as the leader of the firm's litigation division in the beginning of the last year.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pro Business Consulting?

First, I will establish my own law firm after I pass the BAR exam, which will takes place in the next year.

For this purpose I approached Pro Business Consulting for assistance, including the style of the brand, designs, logos, webpage and other design elements. As an independent new firm I shall grow as fast as I can, approach new customers.

Pro Business Consulting is dealing with this specific field of business, knows the legal market, therefore the obstacles and barriers we are facing against. This was the reason of selection.

Second, under my supervision my law firm awarded with a ground breaking decision while represented a client at the European Court of Justice. The decision established a basis for cartel damages claimants to sue cartel members in any member state of the EU.

What were your goals for this project?

First, with the cooperation I wanted to have a new "fancy" webpage, design and a so called brand, to be special for new clients, a law firm that they remember. We are also managing a facebook site with more than 8000 followers, which is unique among lawyers in Hungary.

Second, we wanted to promote our great success regarding cartel damage claims before the European Court of Justice.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We only approached Pro Business Consulting, because only this particular company is considered as expert in - lets say - legal communication in Hungary. None of the existing communication agencies really understand the needs of a law firm, our aims are not necessarily clear for them.

Also, Pro Business Consulting is having an extensively growing practice, which - as far as we know - is well known by its competitors as well.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

We met on several occasions with the CEO of Pro Business Consulting, even in our office or at the city. We first approached him on a fair where he gave a seminar about junior lawyers' pr and marketing activities.

Our cooperation began shortly afterwards: after the receival of the offer and the start of the work, we realised the actual value of their services, which is far above the price. Our daily tasks included the planning of the designs, proposing modifications on the webpage, etc.

I have to mention, that one of the logo's made by Pro Business Consulting is almost a legally acknowledged trademark - we are waiting for the authority's certificate about it.

Regarding the cooperation in the cartel case promotion: it was unbelieveable, with the assistance of Pro Business Consulting the law firm managed to appear in more than 50 press articles, including online and printed press.

What was the team composition?

I personally worked with the CEO, he was a quite intelligent and sophisticated one I admit. His responses on my bad ideas were elegant and professional, while he introduced really good solutions even if we didn't even see the problem - just noticed it after the solution.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Cca. 10 firms asked for offer regarding cartel damages claims after the promotion of the cartel decision - which is relatively high, because the claims are high in this field.

On facebook, people are asking question on a daily basis, the also send emails for us. If you type cartel damages or truck cartel (in Hungarian) we are in the top5 of the results, even without SEO or arwords.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I can't remember even one occasion when it was impossible to reach the CEO within on our - this tells everything.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The deep knowledge of the market, the flexibility of the work flow, and keeping the deadlines.

I couldn't name any action that should have been done differently.
