Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing partner of Revenue River, a digital marketing agency.


What challenge were you trying to address with Privo IT, LLC?

I wanted a service provider to support our move to the AWS cloud. We needed an expert in the technology stack.


What was the scope of their involvement?

AWS is the primary solution, but there are several other pieces wrapped into the surrounding software and hardware. They support the whole AWS package, including our full Windows suite. They help maintain our entire IT infrastructure and onsite hardware, and they comanage procurement. They also have a hand in our video conferencing, phones, internet, and any other related needs.

What is the team composition?

Over the course of our collaboration, upwards of 20 people have been involved in different areas.

How did you come to work with Privo IT, LLC?

Amazon referred them as a preferred, certified partner. They came with that credibility upfront, and we felt like they were directionally aligned with us throughout the sales cycle. Their model fit my needs, and they won the competitive evaluation based on the match with our philosophies and methodologies.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $50,000 annually. After about 13–14 months of collaboration, our total is around $70,000–$80,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around December 2017, and the collaboration is ongoing.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Uptime for security, performance, and reliability is key. They greatly improve the production capacity of my people, and they ensure our efficiency and effectiveness. I struggled with a previous provider, but I know that Privo IT will keep my system operational and secure. Their support is invaluable.

How did Privo IT, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

The proprietary helpdesk technology they use is very helpful, and they maintain a high level of visibility. They have a dashboard for performance and tracking, and their communication is strong.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Whenever they find an issue, they’re proactive and conscientious, and they come to us with solutions. Their functional explanations are easy for anyone to understand, and their architecture maps are always clear. They’re very knowledgeable about server infrastructure, and they came up with a threefold solution for our dedicated server environments. We can use each of those solutions for different needs within our agency.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They do everything well, and we don’t have any issues with their methods. I would like to see them modernize their ticketing system, but that seems to be in the works. It’s the only technology they use that doesn’t match their innovative, forward-thinking approach.
