What was the scope of their involvement?

Preactive IT Solutions provides our IT security and responds to other IT needs. If our computer systems are down or we have software issues, they help us and provide solutions. They help with issues related to computers, printers, scanners, copiers, the internet, our email, our financial software, and other software.

We’ve provided them with a list of our computers and software and listed our needs and expectations from a managed IT services provider.

What is the team composition?

We’re in contact with about two teammates, including Charles (Founder).

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $1,500 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them around June 2022, and we’re still working with them. We have a three-year service agreement with them.

As we add new employees, Preactive configures new computers with appropriate software and network access. This includes access to our remote server and network printers and scanners. Additionally, they manage security protocols to ensure cyber safety. As part of their ongoing support, they troubleshoot all of our software and hardware issues.

When one of our QuickBooks files was corrupted, Preactive interfaced with Intuit (QuickBooks) to track down the problem and worked with all parties involved to develop a plan to repair the file with the least possible impact on our bookkeepers.

Similarly, when we had issues with Outlook, Preactive interface with Microsoft to pinpoint the issue and get the problem resolved. Recently we procured a 13 year old Konica Bizhub printer. Preactive came to our office, configured the printer on the network and insured each of the employees in the office was able to print to the "new" printer. Additionally, they set up all the new printer codes for me.

Our employees work more efficiently if they don't have to fight with technology issues. If an issue arises, Preactive is a phone call away and they fix issues immediately.
