Prata Construction, Inc. was founded in 1989, by Antonio Prata, who has immigrated from Barcelos, Portugal to the United States, as a young man full of dreams and no money.
After working for a few construction companies, Mr. Prata started working as a subcontractor with an old pick-up truck and a few laborers. Working 12-15 hours shifts, 7 days a week for a long time.
Mr. Prata’s work ethic and discipline, allowed him to hire more employees, and buy more equipment and trucks.
With the help of his wife, Lorena Muchella, in charge of the office for the past 20 years, as Mr. Prata is in the field, they have been able to grow their business to what is now a well-established concrete and trucking company.
