What were your goals for this project?

Our digital lead generation was already strong at the time. But we had a strong feeling it could be better. We effectively wanted to double our monthly inbound leads.


How did you select this vendor?

I had encountered Polaris in a previous business. Whilst in my former role, we selected a number of agencies to come in to present their strategy for our business. Polaris made it to the final 2 but in the end, we took the decision to use the other agency. It was a decision I later regretted.

The Account Director kept in touch, kept the reporting he had set up running and checked in with me every 3 months or so. He genuinely wanted to ensure that we were happy and that things were going well. When I moved companies and it became clear that we needed to switch agencies, I knew at once who to call!

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

As part of the project, we wanted to move away from using separate agencies for SEO and PPC - we wanted to deal with one agency and for them to put our overall budget to work in the way it would generate the best return on investment, shuffling it around as and when needed.

After examining out competitors and the marketplace, the starting point was to create short, medium and long term SEO strategies. Polaris started with a technical SEO audit and quickly set to work fixing some obvious problems. They then created medium and long term plans, utilising content, outreach and PR.

In the meantime, they optimised the PPC campaigns we had running, ensuring our budget was brining maximum ROI. They re-organised the campaign structure, switched off some campaigns altogether and found several opportunities we were missing.

What was the team composition?

The Polaris team is comprised of our Account Director, who is the first point of contact. They are supported by SEO specialists, PPC specialists and a back of house team comprising of developers, designers and copywriters.


Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We achieved more than we were expecting - over 200% increase in qualified inbound leads during the first 3 months.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We felt the POLARIS team was an extension of our own in-house marketing team. We could always call on them when needed and learnt a lot ourselves through working with their team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed by their strategic approach, the ideas and the energy they bring to the account. Their knowledge is unquestionable but it is how they apply it that makes the real difference. They have vision, know exactly what they need to do to accelerate growth in the account and get right on and do it.

Polaris are definitely a safe pair of hands! I also really like how down to earth they are - they are non-intimidating and our Account Director is a master at taking complex concepts and explaining them in a way we can all understand.
