I’m the UX designer at a bank in Scotland.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pogo Studio?

We needed to build a mobile app to teach the people within our organization to work in an agile way. We wanted to move away from waterfall to agile.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed our iOS and Android mobile app using Umbraco. They optimized it for desktop as well. They created templates that enabled us to publish content, images, and videos. They also developed a feedback functionality for each page.

What is the team composition?

There were 2–3 developers. We primarily dealt with one of them.

How did you come to work with Pogo Studio?

They work within our building, which made it easy to meet and engage with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2018 until February 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We developed a feedback functionality that can be switched on and off for every single page. They completed the project quickly, and we received good feedback from people.

How did Pogo Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was great. We worked in an agile way. We incrementally built the site by page and feature. We also had the flexibility to access the CMS and full control of the copy, images, and videos we could upload. They were always available for conversations with us. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Financial services and banks generally keep externally hosted websites in-house due to regulation and red tape, but they were wonderfully patient with working within those confines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was suggested that they work with us even though we were in different parts of the building. That might have worked a bit better.

I’m the chief executive for Scottish Investment Operations, a nonprofit financial services membership organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pogo Studio?

I needed someone to develop our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together on building a new website, which included a dedicated member site. Their team used Umbraco to develop the platform.

How did you come to work with Pogo Studio?

They were recommended by an organization I previously worked with. After speaking with several different companies, I felt confident using Pogo Studio.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost €20,000 (approximately $25,300 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Pogo Studio from October 2018–March 2019, and we have an ongoing service contract. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The membership, which consists of different organizations, has been happy with the output. We now have a simple process for registering individuals onto the site. In terms of participants with our member site, we’ve experienced a 400% increase.

How did Pogo Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Pogo Studio understands the problems that organizations had prior to the new technology of AI and that balance of new people. We initially kicked off on a flexible and agile approach to project management. They were able to exercise the knowledge and experience that they have as a collective unit to demonstrate opportunities that were available to us.

We weren’t missing any opportunities or closing the door on any potential chances. Pogo Studio was given free rein to challenge the way of thinking, enabling us to make sure we were making informed decisions about the types of functionalities we planned on using. Once we moved from the agile approach, I suggested we move to a more traditional and formal approach through setting targets and deadlines. We had regular updates available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It was a great experience working with Pogo Studio. In the commercial world, it’s rare to find such an authentic team. They want to do right by their clients, so they’re willing to be flexible. Their team proactively comes back with suggestions, appropriately pitching them. They demonstrate good awareness, managing the ongoing relationship in a practical way. Their other strengths include creativity and innovation. Pogo Studio focuses on the best solutions for their clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Pogo Studio should do more of what they’re doing. They should prepare to be more targeted and blunter about why something can or can’t be done.
