BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

After achieving our goals in working, teaching and session work in London's West End salons, we founded our own hair salons in London. We soon realised that we wanted to open a larger flagship salons where we could develep our own training and philosophies. I am Director of company.

For what projects/services did your company hire PLDEVS.COM?

We are working with PLDEVS in London since 2009 and still our cooperation is ongoing with last project in 2017. They have done three web development solutions for us in total. During this time we have launched new websites, booking appliaction and marketing campaigns in social media.

What were your goals for this project?

Our main goal was to quickly revamp our old website and become more visible over the internet. They suggested completly fresh and new idea how to present our company in proper way. Furthermore we have been instructed to try online booking reservation module which was incorporated to our website later on, along with mobile application for Android and Apple phones.

How did you select this vendor?

These "web-creators" were recommended to us by friend of mine who made similar project with PLDEVS. In 2009, when I firsty met them, they were a small team of friendly guys with bright ideas. Now, 10 years later - this cooperation is clear and visible sign of its success.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

After creating a road plan, PLDEVS developed a web & mobile application that guides users through the reservation process of our services. They designed and developed our new website with booking reservation feature. The same service was done on mobile phones.

I need to say that these guys are incredibly capable and flexible in terms of adapting to web & mobile app environments. The have been working in 2-week sprints and collaborating with us without any hassle. Everything was prepared in proper manner, starting with documentation, project milestones and change management.

What was the team composition?

The team had about 5 people dedicated for this project, 1x Android Developer, 1x iOS Developer, 1x Web Developer, 1x UX Designer and a Project Manager. Improvements were possible during each sprint thanks to the scrum methodology. As a result of stable project manager and agile development process we could finish our work in approx 8 weeks, so it was quick.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We have managed to build our mobile app for customers gaining more visits and higher revenue.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They're very responsive and great at communicating overall. The project management was very impressive. Their team regularly complied with deadlines and always communicated any issues or delays. We have been in good contact using Cisco WebEX and Jira.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They're incredibly thoughtful and considerate when taking on a project. Furthermore they have strong software development skills that differentiate them from their competitors.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is a very little to improve. Our cooperation was clear and sound using agile project management, thus it was completed quickly and efficiently over the course of a couple of weeks.
