PlayJoy provided a complete, high-quality mobile port of the game. They were able to adapt the PC controls for the mobile version, as well as optimising the game's performance and size. All the feedback provided by the original developers and the publisher has been applied perfectly. The PlayJoy team also regularly offered design and adaptation ideas when problems arose.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

PlayJoy's mobile version of the game has been an excellent success, with an average rating of 4.8/5 on mobile stores. The same is true of many of our other projects with this partner, since we have already completed more than 15 mobile, PC and console projects with them.

We have weekly calls on each project to make sure everything's in line with what was initially negotiated. In general the team is very flexible and can adjust to the specific requirements of the project. If a technical problem or challenge arises on the project, the team will provide a new estimate of the time needed to solve it.

They over delivered for each and every task we assigned to them: 

• they significantly improved the game concept 
• they built a solid development plan & schedule 
• they prepared a UX design document that was spot-on

• Take the PC version of Abandon Ship and update it to the latest version of the Unity engine. 
• Ensure that it looks graphically comparable to the original version on the target platforms.
• Optimize it so that it runs at a smooth frame rate on target platforms. 
• Adjust the controls, camera, and user interface so that it plays well on the target platforms (target platforms were iOS, Google Play, and Nintendo Switch).

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All of the goals for the project were completed with strong results in each deliverable.

I frequently provided lengthy and detailed feedback which was actioned. There were external pressures which contributed to delays, however each time this was explained to and approved by me. Some of these delays were incurred as a result of my feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The end result or 'complete package' was the most impressive. The product looked and ran very favorably compared to the original. As I made the source material, I have a deep understanding of just what an achievement this was.
