We originally produced our videos for DVD and needed help transitioning our content to a digital delivery platform.

Platform Purple, Inc. hosts our video content. The team built a digital platform for customers to purchase, download and/or stream our videos. They've made several iOS and Android apps for us, including one that allows people to view our content. The team is expanding the platform for Roku and Chromecast.

We've worked directly with six teammates including developers.

How did you come to work with Platform Purple, Inc.?

We did a bunch of research years ago into how to build a digital video platform and Platform Purple, Inc. offered a painless plug-and-play option. We’ve stuck with them because they’re a great company to work with.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere in the $100,000 range. Their main service charge is basically a commission.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the collaboration in January 2017, and it's ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been able to survive the death of the DVD business because of Platform Purple, Inc. Their platform has grown our number of monthly subscribers to between four and five thousand, plus purchasers. They’ve provided us with the technology to build and deliver our products digitally, which has allowed us to create a pretty robust revenue stream. Because of their team, we don't have to worry about the technological side of our business. 

How did Platform Purple, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has vastly improved as they’ve matured as a company. Their CEO has really professionalized the process. We’re tracking things using Notion and the team delivers really close to deadlines, never charging more than what we agreed on even if a project goes over.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is super trustworthy, especially Josh (CEO, Platform Purple, Inc.). I can’t say enough about their leadership—they’re upfront and honest.

More than most competitors, Platform Purple, Inc. has been concerned with our business needs. They've used their experiences to act as a consultant, suggesting more effective, cost-saving measures on several projects.

Platform Purple developed a streaming platform that allows us to stream our content and our workouts to members globally. They built a very sophisticated data dashboard, so we can see in real time exactly what everybody on the platform is doing. It's a mobile app for both iOS and Android that has a billing feature and enables us to provide customer service to our clients. They also helped us launch the app.

They assigned 3–4 people to our project.

They're nimble, agile, and incredibly responsive. Also, they were able to work with our tight budget, so we chose them.

We started working with them in July 2017, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app is used by thousands of people around the world and our business has been growing month after month. Also, we’ve received very positive press reviews. Platform Purple gave us an entire dashboard of behaviors and exact metrics around our streamers, so we've been able to make a lot of decisions based on those insights. We're evolving very fast as a company and we require that any updates or changes happen quickly. They’ve never failed to deliver what we’ve asked of them.

How did Platform Purple, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They're a small team with many capabilities. We mostly used Asana for project management and they didn't miss any deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took ownership of the project and acted like it was their company as well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Initially, we wanted more advice on how we could grow our business and integrate our streaming platform into other technology that we were bringing into the company. But they have improved in this regard, so it's not an issue any longer.
