I am Head of Strategy for the fashion ecommerce company named Silk Avenue with branches in Europe and Middle East.
For what projects/services did your company hire Plan Z?
We needed to develop an app which could synchronize our wholesale customers, suppliers, factories, and retail website all at once place. From stock to supply chain, we needed one dashboard to show all information which we could see anytime from our mobile phone.
How did you select this vendor?
We heard about Plan Z from one of our suppliers, had a meeting with them over Skype, and hired them after seeing their impressive portfolio.
What was the team composition?
I was heading the strategy and all communications directly with the Plan Z Team. From their agency, Zohaib Ahmed was the lead and in communication with me for all the details required to build the app along with strategy building. Ms. Neha Ahmed from Plan Z was directly in touch with our IT dept. for technical work.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We were able to timely launch the app to all our suppliers, factories, and employees.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It saved communication time by almost 70& as now every member of the supply chain can see direct updates on the app, rather than emailing to and fro.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their communication skills were impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Yes, they can improve on their timelines and provide urgent services whenever needed. But I understand that in such technical projects, urgency may not give the right results.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I own a home décor venture startup that provides an assortment of leather products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Plan Z?
I had the concept in my mind, but I needed the help of an agency to bring my idea to life.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I needed a website, a logo, and a brand identity for the venture. I also wanted market research completed to help with creating the brand identity. This included competitive analysis in figuring out my competitors and see what the demand was for leather products in the market.
After I gave them the requirements, they gave me a plan. They provided me with three logos at first. I was a bit finicky about certain things like the color scheme because this was something I was starting on my own and wanted it to be perfect.
After the logo, we proceeded with the website. I provided them with my product list and portfolio.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with an entire team. I coordinated with two or three people. One looked after the logo, and there was another person who looked after the website.
How did you come to work with Plan Z?
I’m from Karachi, and the owner of Plan Z is a friend of a friend. They recommended that I discuss my idea with them. After contacting them, we had a discussion about what I had in mind.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Plan Z started in May 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The team is punctual and efficient. The logo was delivered in a week, and the website is currently still in progress.
How did Plan Z perform from a project management standpoint?
When it came to listening to my entire story or being too finicky about my logo, they were patient. Their creative team follows their timelines very efficiently. Timelines were important because of all of the planning ahead we’ve done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team is extremely kind and gave me nice ideas. When I told them the name I decided upon, they were helpful. I also liked that they did everything on time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
When it came to the financial aspect, I think they can come up with a customized package for different clients.

There was generally a lot of back and forth in terms of getting the desired design of the website. But it was achieved eventually.

We had bi-weekly meeting on zoom for an hour where we would exchange notes and request the changes needed. We also stayed connected through watsaap later on for efficiency.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were very understanding and accommodating.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
- Timelines could be followed more stringently.
- Better communication so we could've known exactly when to accept to receive our deliverables. It would kept everyone on the same page and would've reduced confusion.
