WordPress Sites for Financial Org & Family Edu Business
"Regarding the design of the website, everyone has nothing but positive feedback."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I own two companies. One is a family education nonprofit that is focusing on opening an education center for kids ages 3–12 that offers reading programs and other services. My other organization is an independent financial services company that provides all types of financial services, including life insurance.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pixels and Web?
I didn’t want to build another website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For both of the websites, they built them from the ground up. I had the concepts and logos prepared. I viewed a lot of different websites, and I decided that I wanted a modern look. I also requested a sticky menu bar. Every aspect needed to function well and seamlessly. After providing their team the content, Pixels and Web provided stock photos for both WordPress sites.
What is the team composition?
I worked with two points of contact. One is the founder, and the other is our primary representative.
How did you come to work with Pixels and Web?
A sales representative reached out to me. He shared their background, and it seemed like it would be a good fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in February 2019. The financial site launched in March 2020. Their team still performs ongoing maintenance support for both sites.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I measured the quality of work based on other websites I’ve seen. Regarding the design of the site, everyone has nothing but positive feedback. All is functioning well. If there is ever a bug, they’re responsive to fixing it.
How did Pixels and Web perform from a project management standpoint?
All timelines were met. Their communication has always been excellent. Our representative became such an asset when he came on. We primarily communicated through email. Sometimes we’ll send 8–10 emails a day. He describes everything to the developers. Their workflow made this a continued engagement.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When I asked for 12 different landing pages, I was impressed with their flexibility. I know it doesn’t take a lot to copy pages, but they delivered them within hours.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I suspect if I ever come across a new design or functionality that I want to be implemented, their team will get it done for me. With our main representative on board, I don’t have any challenges.

Multiple Websites for Government Contractor

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of Postkites and Women’s Prison Recovery LLC.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pixels and Web?
I needed someone to make my websites and be available to do any updates I needed.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They designed and developed websites for both companies and I will likely be bringing them on for my third organization to do the same. Anything I tell them I want, they implement it and all I have to do is give them the information. They have content writers that have added a content feature to the website, as well as a communication feature.
For my Women’s Prison Recovery LLC website, there's an information page that is primarily for the government to look at rather than regular civilians. The sites are able to hold a lot of pictures and artwork and there is an e-commerce store as well. Currently, they maintain the websites and make changes or updates whenever needed.
What is the team composition?
I’m typically in contact with two people who handle whatever I need.
How much have you invested with them?
I spend about $150 a month because I have a lot of different features on my sites.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together around June 2018 and the relationship is currently ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work has been extremely remarkable because all I have to do is give the government a link to my website and they can look us up and check out our capabilities. It streamlines all of the information, so it’s been really great for landing commercial cleaning jobs and getting more contracts. It’s a lot easier than sending data through email.
How did Pixels and Web perform from a project management standpoint?
They're good. I communicate with them directly over the phone, which is really helpful.
What did you find most impressive about them?
A pretty awesome feature about their organization is how fast and quickly they work. With other companies, it’s hard to get a hold of someone and if it’s a Saturday, then forget about it. I like that with Pixels and Web I can call them any day and they pick up the phone and that level of service is worth it.
They’ve also been outstanding through the COVID-19 national crisis. Living in California, we’ve all been ordered to stop working and if we continue, we’ll be fined. I’ve been shut down and my employees can no longer work. Even in this national crisis where times are really hard, they continue to work without cutting off my services and I really admire them for that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be nice if they offered a business incentive for veteran business owners, which I think could actually help them in the long run. As a disabled veteran myself, it would be nice if I had something to show off their services. That would definitely appeal to my colleagues.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
For them to be the most efficient, it’s beneficial for you to know what you want. It’s okay if you don’t, but it will make the development cycle much faster if you show them some websites or templates you like.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the founder and CEO of C.L.A.S.S. Inc. (Cultivating Ladies and Setting Standards in Corporate America). We 're a mentorship program for young ladies and we teach them how to conduct and adorn themselves in corporate America. I teach them how to calculate their gains and losses in their stores among other business principles.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pixels and Web?
We needed help creating a website for our services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built our site from scratch. I asked them if they could recreate a site they had made for my uncle. I gave them a little bit of direction and they went with it. They were very prompt.
What is the team composition?
I had contact with two web developers from their team.
How did you come to work with Pixels and Web?
They built my uncle's website for his church and organization. He referred me.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested $120.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in February 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything that I've asked for has been done by the following morning. So far it's been superb.
How did Pixels and Web perform from a project management standpoint?
They always call to follow up and we typically communicate over phone, text, and email. They always call and ask if it's a good time. Any time they make any modifications to the site, they follow up immediately with a corresponding email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their promptness has been great. I'm able to have a vision the night before, and the next morning it's done; they’re brilliant.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There was only one issue with the photo gallery uploading. Once I told them about it, it was fixed within the hour.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to be as elaborate or vivid as you can be because whatever your vision is they can make it happen, you just have to be specific. What I've noticed is that they don't deviate. Whatever you give them, they're very meticulous about following through.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pixels and Web?
We hired Pixels and Web to host and design our website.
What were your goals for this project?
To have a site that is engaging and gets the info across that we need to convey.
How did you select this vendor?
I was referred to the site via another rep I worked with in the past. We were having major issues with the previous web provider getting back to us in a timely manner and taking a long time to complete the updates.
Describe the project in detail.
The project was simply having them design our website using the information I provided.
What was the team composition?
We usually have one or two individuals we work directly with and then they handle the requests with the developers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
As the founder of the Picktown Palooza I was looking for a web partner that could provide a nice looking website at a respectable price I'm very pleased with their services and the team is very responsive to our requests for additions, deletions and revisions. I would have no problem recommending them to others and in fact I already have.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Simple and easy, just the way I like it.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their quick response in getting the updates and additions done was impressive.

Consulting & Web Design for Consulting Firm
"They are a team of very creative folks."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Quick Wins Consulting.
What challenge were you trying to address with Pixels and Web?
I was trying to re-identify my brand. We had changed companies and thus had changed branding. Speed and flexibility were key for me because I still wasn’t sure of my vision.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Pixels and Web started by doing a free consultation to review my brand, goals, and needs. During this discovery phase, they made sure to understand my industry and figure out how their team could best support me while catering to my timelines and expectations.
They then came back with a proposal and reiterated our executive summary to outline exactly what I was looking for. The team then priced out the project and clearly communicated what the process would look like moving forward. When we began the project, they started with our ideas and vision, lending a creative eye and leveraging their expertise.
Initially, the website was the only project they were working on but we added them onto a couple of other projects. After I gave them a formula and some content, they created a profit calculator — a new element in our business — for the website.
Pixels and Web also worked with us to do a couple of iterations of some interactive surveys, helping us to position those forms as a type of call to action for site visitors. Additionally, they worked with us on social media and Facebook marketing.
What is the team composition?
I worked with the owner as well as another teammate who served as our day-to-day point of contact.
How did you come to work with Pixels and Web?
I was referred to them by a friend of mine. The owner and I struck up a good friendship and working relationship and tackled the project.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent $100 per month since the project started.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with Pixels and Web in November 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site has been launched and it works really well. They achieved a smooth site transition, improving the customer experience (CX) and making it more user-friendly.
We’ve seen around a 30% increase in both site visits and form submission. They truly helped us map out a clear direction. We’re currently on our 97th iteration and all of their work has been great.
How did Pixels and Web perform from a project management standpoint?
Following up on every task, they make sure that my scope and expectations align with the project. We communicate via text, email, and phone calls.
Pixels and Web is extremely responsive. They reply on the same day — sometimes within hours if not minutes — and even on weekends. They completed the website project very quickly, constantly exceeding expectations with timeframes and deliverables.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Pixels and Web provides a lot of value and is very economic. During the discovery phase, I asked them a lot of questions and they did a good job of answering them. Most importantly, they followed through diligently with almost every change I asked them to make to the website, treating them as very important tasks.
They've been able to take on some extraordinary challenges such as understanding the math formulas for the profit calculator and translating them into a workable, active animation on the website. The team was also able to fully understand my business, which is consulting- and finance-driven and how the marketing relates to it.
Additionally, Pixels and Web is always more than happy to give suggestions and advice on how to make my life easier.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They should try to dig into the client’s business a little more and proactively figure out the next steps. Pixels and Web should also consider actively advising their clients and they could even charge more for it.
They are a team of very creative folks so they should continue to capitalize on those opportunities by reaching out to their clients about once a month to see how things are going and how they can be of service.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront with and understand your goals. If you have a plan and vision, bring them to the table. If you don’t, tell the team so they know where to start. Additionally, be transparent otherwise you won’t get the help you need. Because Pixels and Web is very accommodating, any failures or issues are usually on the client’s side.
