We needed to get the most out of Shopify and our ability to run effective digital marketing campaigns. PixelRocket was able to improve our brand presence and design while creating really innovative digital marketing funnels that included our social presence and website. Our bounce rates went down and our cart completes went up through the holiday season.

What were your goals for this project?

Our website drives a lot of sales and we were not satisfied with our branding or the shopping experience. Our goals were to improve the user journey and improve engagement and transaction rates.

We met the founder in Austin, TX and ran a quick procurement. It was easy to say yes for the combination of expertise and pricing.

What was the team composition?

There were 2 PM's one focused on web and another on marketing. There was a combination of developers and programmers but our interface was primarily through the PMs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our sales or the fall were approximately 2.6X prior year and the website looked, functioned, and created transaction rates that were a clear improvement.

Great - their PM's were top notch.

The team has a high level of expertise all around. Team members were high grade an expertise level in marketing & web dev & UX were all outstanding

They were great - worked through any minor kinks and solved some hefty problems.

Vendera offers a single pane of glass platform for managing mobile devices within the enterprise. Catering to every step of the lifecycle from procurement to servicing to end-of-life recycling, Vendera's platform integrates the tools and information required to significantly reduce the complexity of enterprise mobile management (EMM). As the founder and CEO, my job has been centered on finding the best product market fit possible, and to execute on the various pivots that have been required to achieve that.

For what projects/services did your company hire PixelRocket LLC?

Our company is focused on helping large enterprise customer better navigate the ever-increasing complexity associated with managing large mobile device deployments. As part of their overall mobile strategies, a majority of our customers utilize an internal app, if not multiple internal apps. With Vendera being the front line of defense for discovering, troubleshooting, and solving every issue users might run into with their devices, app related issues are always top of list. To address this, Vendera has begun taking on the support, and in some cases, redesign, of the apps created for our customers. PixelRocket has been a game-change in allowing us to work with a trusted brand with years of experience in this space to take on these development needs. Whereas we would otherwise need to bring these resources on internally, they have allowed us to rapidly begin offering app development, redesign, and support as a service.

What were your goals for this project?

Because Vendera commissioned the work for this app on behalf of our customer, PixelRocket needed to achieve a win that aligned with the needs of everyone involved. The goal for our customer was a rebuild of the app from Cordova into a native iOS app. With this, a series of features were also to be added that would significantly improve performance. The goal for Vendera was to ensure that the app was rebuilt in a way that would eliminate many of the issues that were bogging down our ticketing system for app related issues.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We picked PixelRocket because of the great reputation they have built and because of the past work they have done. A major factor was also communication and a willingness to be transparent on the project, the work to be done, and the cost. For the latter areas, PixelRocket clearly out shined some of the other options we had.

Describe the project in detail.

This was a redesign and overhaul of an app that was built in Ember. The app needed to be rebuilt as a native iOS app. Beyond this, the UI needed some overhaul and numerous features--such as location tracking, and hybrid storage options--also needed to be added.

What was the team composition?

Myself as the conduit between the client and PixelRocket team. Our CTO, Andy, as the technical lead internally to review any technical aspects of the project. Blake as the lead for PixelRocket, preparing the proposal and communicating goals, timelines, etc. Ryan as the senior iOS developer to actually accomplish all of the work being proposed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is nearing completion, but has been done in stride. We have maintained budget, and PixelRocket has actually gotten all work done well ahead of schedule. Our customer has been a bit tricky to deal with due to their size and decision making abilities throughout this project, and PixelRocket has maintained a remarkable level of patience and flexibility.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Honestly, could not be better. The PixelRocket team is extremely easy to reach and is always willing to hop on a call to strategize.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to maintain such great transparency and communication throughout the project.

Are there any areas for improvement?

With the customer taking so long to make decisions, there were times were features needed to be re-reviewed and re-discussed. I could not at all put this on PixelRocket given the reasonable circumstances, but obviously if we could avoid those, that would be an amazing improvement.

They work on a monthly retainer to help us with our organic SEO rankings. They run social media and PPC campaigns that push people into our funnels so we can reach them with email marketing. They also create content as necessary, including blog posts, lead magnets, and organic social posts.

I work closely with the owner, but we also have key contacts in their social, PPC, and branding departments.

We've had much better than expected conversion rates into our database. Our email numbers are also extremely positive.

It's effective. They are accessible, and their software tools make everything easy and efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

PixelRocket LLC is a smart team with good ideas. They learn your goals and use their marketing skills to put together the right solutions. It's not a push to sell services, but a real collaboration to help us hit our objectives.

They also communicate well and make the work fun. They are serious about their jobs but don't take themselves too seriously. In a complex marketing space, they shoot straight and know their stuff.

Customers saw, on average, a 60% increase in social media followers and engagement as well as a 50% increase in web traffic. Customers were thrilled with our work with the PixelRocket team, and we've retained 100% of the customers we've introduced them to.
