I’m the founder of Cryptoleopards. I founded the company to work with the local government and protect endangered species, particularly the snow leopards of Pakistan, by having an NFT linked directly to each animal to tag and locate them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixelette Technologies?

We were in the process of creating our own NFT marketplace. I’m not a tech person, so I needed IT support to give shape to my idea. Overall, we wanted people with a real feel for this cause and what humanity does to nature and wildlife to come onto the website and create their own NFTs for endangered animals.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pixelette Technologies is building our NFT marketplace on Solana because it has advantages for the project. They’re also using MERN stack. We initially had a consultation meeting, and they came up with the documentation.

One of the features is staking, which allows NFT buyers to pledge the NFTs and earn rewards for the duration of their pledge in the form of our native token. Pixelette Technologies is also working on the token, which we’ll launch soon. Additionally, the platform will include features like auctions, royalties, and buying, selling, and listing NFTs. 

The team has vigorously tested for security. The advantage of blockchain is that it’s secure, but Pixelette Technologies has added SSL certifications and other features to ensure safety, such as two-factor authentication for signup and login.

They’re currently in the testing phase; they’ve deployed the whole system on a testnet. Once they fix all the bugs, complete testing, and we’ve seen walkthroughs and made slight improvements, they’ll deploy the system.

What is the team composition?

We have 10–12 teammates working on this project, including a project manager and a client relations manager, who is our main point of contact. We also have regular meetings with the CTO and occasional meetings with the CEO. Additionally, we’ve met the backend team a couple of times.

Pixelette Technologies doesn’t deviate from the budget or timeline. They meet deadlines consistently and deliver on whatever milestone we agree on, which has surprised us. Moreover, they do everything autonomously.

Whenever there’s a need or if I have any questions, we use Slack. Additionally, we have regularly scheduled meetings in our roadmap and communicate through Zoom, phone, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their knowledge of the subject and expertise are outstanding. We talked to a few smaller companies before; they required a lot of time for R&D and didn’t know what they were doing. Meanwhile, Pixelette Technologies has the experience and knows how long something will take, what’s required from our side, and the features they can do.

To be honest, I can’t think of anything they could improve.

I’d say go for it. Share your ideas; they’ll understand. Even if you haven’t figured out the technical side, they’ll do it.

The team has designed and built the MVP from scratch, and they’ve been working on developing the final product. Customers will be able to access an administrative dashboard where they can track payments and get insights about their sales. Our goal is for the system to be accessible from web or mobile devices.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Pixelette Technologies to develop an e-commerce website using React as well as a mobile app version for iOS and Android. So far, they’ve finished developing the frontend and building the categories on the site. They’re currently developing a backend system for our suppliers where they can access their inventory. The system provides them with a user ID and allows them to upload their deliveries. All of the information they provide is linked to our warehouse database.

They’ve also proposed and developed a cryptocurrency-based customer loyalty tool that provides our retailers with tokens, which they can use for their future transactions with us. Aside from that, Pixelette Technologies has also helped us with our brand name, logo, and colors. They presented around 20 different logos for us to choose from as well as a color concept and a theme for the website.

Once everything is finalized, Pixelette Technologies will then start handling our SEO. This involves writing blogs about our products to improve our rankings.

I’m the founder of Edu Dash, an education company. We help schools and colleges implement digitized solutions to their yearly problems, such as managing school and student records and building portals so people can interact with each other.

We wanted to create a system that would make it easy for teachers and education providers to offer the best education possible while maintaining good quality of data. All in all, we had the idea of providing education online in a cost-effective way, but we didn’t have the technical expertise or technology to execute the idea.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pixelette Technologies has developed a custom web and mobile application. The desktop system is cloud-based, and it was built from scratch for iOS and Android. They’ve used React and Node.js and deployed some functionality to AWS. We initially spent a lot of time with the team to design how it should look; it was a mix between their ideas and ours.

The app has two broad categories to help the education sector in Pakistan. First, it enables schools and colleges to maintain student records, grades, certifications, reports, and more to act as a school management system. The second part of the system provides pre-recorded, high-quality lectures on relevant subjects by leading people from the industry. Students will be able to access them from the comfort of their homes.

What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we provided Pixelette Technologies with preliminary documentation outlining our business goals. After learning our objectives, they carried out a robust R&D process. Then, the team started working on building a new website from scratch using React and Node.js. 

The team has used Figma to create design prototypes, which we’ve reviewed and requested modifications for. After collaborating on a few design iterations, they’ve designed the UI/UX. They’ve also developed the front- and backend of the website, which is an informative landing page that teaches users about our business. 

Additionally, the team has customized the functionality to meet our needs by integrating a wallet that enables users to make purchases via PayPal and Swipe. They’ve also provided Blockchain expertise to help us develop an NFT marketplace. They’ve created a token for the project and have been building a blockchain to convert the token into a coin.

The team composition has changed at different parts of the project. Currently, we work with two technical teammates from Pixelette Technologies who are working on blockchain development, and we also have a key account manager who handles our communication.

We found them on LinkedIn, where we posted about this project. At the time, we weren’t sure how to implement it, and Pixelette Technologies gave us clarity; they came up with the technicalities and helped us put everything in order, so we hired them.

The design and development of the website and token have cost us about $45,000. For the blockchain development, we’re paying them in installments, and we’re expecting it to be completed for around $80,000–$90,000

Pixelette Technologies’ work has been amazing. Their QA team has tested everything to ensure it’s running smoothly, and the site has had no bugs. Even though we’ve had some minor issues, the team has handled them well. Moreover, our own QA team has tested their work, and it’s all good. Although their design lacked creativity at first, we gave them feedback, and they showed us many more options.

How did Pixelette Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We have good communication with the key account manager, who gives us regular updates. Additionally, we have meetings with them twice a week where they inform us what’s going on through presentations. 

Our team is very hands-on with the project, and we have a technical person attend all our meetings to ensure everything’s going well. We use Slack and Trello to share information. Overall, Pixelette Technologies discusses things openly and makes sure everything runs smoothly. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pixelette Technologies does what we ask them to do; they don’t say ‘no’ and are willing to compromise. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve their design creativity. However, they’ve been willing to compromise when we’ve brought our ideas to the table and said we wanted things done a certain way.

You have to be patient with them; they’ll deliver quality and do whatever you say. They don’t mind doing things all over again to make you happy.
