I’m the founder of Cryptoleopards. I founded the company to work with the local government and protect endangered species, particularly the snow leopards of Pakistan, by having an NFT linked directly to each animal to tag and locate them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixelette Technologies?

We were in the process of creating our own NFT marketplace. I’m not a tech person, so I needed IT support to give shape to my idea. Overall, we wanted people with a real feel for this cause and what humanity does to nature and wildlife to come onto the website and create their own NFTs for endangered animals.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pixelette Technologies is building our NFT marketplace on Solana because it has advantages for the project. They’re also using MERN stack. We initially had a consultation meeting, and they came up with the documentation.

One of the features is staking, which allows NFT buyers to pledge the NFTs and earn rewards for the duration of their pledge in the form of our native token. Pixelette Technologies is also working on the token, which we’ll launch soon. Additionally, the platform will include features like auctions, royalties, and buying, selling, and listing NFTs. 

The team has vigorously tested for security. The advantage of blockchain is that it’s secure, but Pixelette Technologies has added SSL certifications and other features to ensure safety, such as two-factor authentication for signup and login.

They’re currently in the testing phase; they’ve deployed the whole system on a testnet. Once they fix all the bugs, complete testing, and we’ve seen walkthroughs and made slight improvements, they’ll deploy the system.

We have 10–12 teammates working on this project, including a project manager and a client relations manager, who is our main point of contact. We also have regular meetings with the CTO and occasional meetings with the CEO. Additionally, we’ve met the backend team a couple of times.

Pixelette Technologies doesn’t deviate from the budget or timeline. They meet deadlines consistently and deliver on whatever milestone we agree on, which has surprised us. Moreover, they do everything autonomously.

Whenever there’s a need or if I have any questions, we use Slack. Additionally, we have regularly scheduled meetings in our roadmap and communicate through Zoom, phone, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their knowledge of the subject and expertise are outstanding. We talked to a few smaller companies before; they required a lot of time for R&D and didn’t know what they were doing. Meanwhile, Pixelette Technologies has the experience and knows how long something will take, what’s required from our side, and the features they can do.

To be honest, I can’t think of anything they could improve.

The system provides them with a user ID and allows them to upload their deliveries. All of the information they provide is linked to our warehouse database.

They’ve also proposed and developed a cryptocurrency-based customer loyalty tool that provides our retailers with tokens, which they can use for their future transactions with us. We wanted to create a system that would make it easy for teachers and education providers to offer the best education possible while maintaining good quality of data. All in all, we had the idea of providing education online in a cost-effective way, but we didn’t have the technical expertise or technology to execute the idea.

Pixelette Technologies has developed a custom web and mobile application. The desktop system is cloud-based, and it was built from scratch for iOS and Android. They’ve used React and Node.js and deployed some functionality to AWS. We initially spent a lot of time with the team to design how it should look; it was a mix between their ideas and ours.

The app has two broad categories to help the education sector in Pakistan. First, it enables schools and colleges to maintain student records, grades, certifications, reports, and more to act as a school management system. The second part of the system provides pre-recorded, high-quality lectures on relevant subjects by leading people from the industry. Students will be able to access them from the comfort of their homes.

Even though we’ve had some minor issues, the team has handled them well. Moreover, our own QA team has tested their work, and it’s all good. Although their design lacked creativity at first, we gave them feedback, and they showed us many more options.

We have good communication with the key account manager, who gives us regular updates. Additionally, we have meetings with them twice a week where they inform us what’s going on through presentations. 

Our team is very hands-on with the project, and we have a technical person attend all our meetings to ensure everything’s going well. We use Slack and Trello to share information. Overall, Pixelette Technologies discusses things openly and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
