We wanted a video to better communicate to our prospects our skills and abilities and highlight what they could expect from us. The Video has done a great job in achieving this. We use it during client consultations

Within 1 month they finalized the video for us. We worked closely with them all the way through, starting early during the pre-production phase. I was particularly impressed by the level of effort they made to get to know our business. Not only what we do and how we go about it, but also getting deep to understand what drives us.

During the shoot, they turned up with a 3 person crew and managed the production really well, some parts where scripted other parts not. It allowed for some spontaneity and some more genuine behind the scenes type coverage. Due to the well planned nature of the pre-production, the editing went really smoothly. They knew exactly what we wanted and they delivered on that expectation. We had the opportunity to make suggestions on the edit before it was finalised.

All software driven, we where notified during certain milestones and contacted every step of the way to discuss.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yes we have been able to use the video during our new prospect meetings, it's a great to demonstrate what we are capable of and it really impresses our prospects. It has increased our conversion rates by up to 30% and has been a great decision.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective, it was really fantastic to see them work and see the systems they have in place to ensure a job is delivered not only efficiently but also one that met our expectations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are great people who care about what they do. This, along with their impressive video production history, combined to make for a fantastic experience working with them.

Anthony at Pixel3 initially skyped with us to learn more about what we needed in our video and what we would be using it for. We then booked Anthony and an assistant in to accompany us on a shoot the following week

The team worked really quickly and easily on the day to capture what we needed without getting in our way. Following the shoot we only had one very small request to change the final edit which was actioned in just a few hours.

The response from clients when pitching for work using the video has been really positive and it's got us over the line to win a few jobs already.

Workflow was seamless, from the initial conversation right through to delivery of the final video.

I liked their professional approach and the ease of doing business with them. It really was painless.

I really can't suggest any improvements apart from maybe delivering the video even faster. A 2 day turnaround is pretty good though!

I’m a senior medical education officer for a family planning nonprofit organization. We work in this field of sexual and reproductive health. I run courses for health professionals, particularly doctors and nurses.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pixel3 Video Productions (Melbourne)? 

We were developing our online learning capacity. Previously our courses were only run face-to-face. We wanted to launch a mixed mode format where some of the learning was online and some was in person. We also wanted to make use of the specialist doctors that we employ as expert speakers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pixel3 Video Productions creates videos of our expert’s presentations, filmed during actual courses. We liaised with them beforehand to plan what we wanted to capture. We also discussed which formats we needed so we could then upload the videos to our online learning platform. They gave us suggestions for how to make it work to run the course for a group of students and at the same actually film the speaker’s presentation. In addition to doing the filming, they edit and produce the final video content. 

We're doing a project in June to film new content for our online learning platform. It will be a simulation of consultation, where a doctor and nurse demonstrate good practices in our field by consulting with a patient. Pixel3 Video Productions will send two videographers to film those scenarios. We’re also in the process of arranging additional course filming with them in August.

My main contact is Anthony (Founder/Videographer, Pixel3 Video Productions). He does most of the filming. Stefan (Editor, Pixel3 Video Productions) does most of the editing but I’ve only worked with him remotely.

Our first project started in February 2017 and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We continue to choose Pixel3 Video Productions as an ongoing partner. We’re really happy with the quality of the product that they produce. We do course evaluations to evaluate our online learning. We look at metrics such as if participants had their learning needs met from the course material, and whether or not they’d recommend online learning with our organization to others. The course evaluations aren’t solely a measure of their work, but the content they produce is a significant part of the online learning platform. 

How did Pixel3 Video Productions (Melbourne) perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is so professional. Anthony uses clear communication, and he’s really approachable and responsive. He’s very adaptable when we need to change the date of a project. We had a conflict with our staff availability. He was willing to move another project to accommodate our change of date. Punctuality is important and their team always arrives on time or ahead of time to set up. Pixel3 Video Productions is able to film each course without impacting the participants’ learning experience. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

I've only personally worked with one other company. Part of the reason we prefer Pixel3 Video Productions is that they're so helpful in the planning stages. They’ve done the hard work of thinking through the plan. They can identify issues that we might not have thought about as we're new to the process of doing videos. Their whole team is really easy to work with and very considerate of our needs. 

Are there any areas they could improve? 

The main thing they need to improve is the audio. They’ve been able to capture excellent audio for the presenter, but weren't able to pick up the questions asked by course participants as well. That's something that I'll be looking to get a better solution for the next time we film a course.

For any video project, you have to do quite a lot of preparation. Anthony is great about answering questions. Make sure to go through the planning exercise with Pixel3 Video Productions, which will help you to have an easier filming day.

While working on the explainer videos, Pixel3 Video Productions has had little trouble translating the ideas presented into easily understood segments. We rely on their creative and collaborative approach to show the message we are trying to convey. Their tactics sometimes involve text overlays or special graphics to emphasize critical points.

They have a pretty tight team. I primarily interact with their creative director, who leads a group of about three people.

We worked together for the first time about two and a half years ago, around January 2017. Since then, they have been my go-to team for these services when projects come up.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had a painless relationship with them. That’s a soft metric, but it’s an important one. Further, the clients we work with have been quite pleased with their work. If the clients don’t like what I’ve shown them of their work, they won’t take it, but we’ve never had that issue.

For a recent project, we produced three different versions of an explainer video with the idea that they might all go public depending on the reaction from the stakeholders. The first video was so successful, however, that we didn’t have to use the other options.

They offer straightforward discussions. Pixel3 Video Productions is not comprised of ego-fueled creative darlings. They know how to get the job done while being direct. We’ve only had one delay, and it was easy to work around because of their transparency.

They are as professional and honest as the day is long. I’ve worked with vendors in the past that are disorganized and struggle to project stability. We’ve had no such problems with Pixel3 Video Productions. It’s been as hassle-free of an engagement as I could have hoped for.

No, we found our groove pretty quickly. I fully trust them.

Have a clear idea of what you want to accomplish and explain it carefully at the start of the project. After that, have faith that their team will get on the same page as you.

We were looking for a vendor to help us convert our research evidence into an educational video for health professionals.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave Pixel3 a very specific brief and they helped us develop a script. Then, they filmed and edited a high-level educational video for us. The video included case study scenarios presented by a specialist, trailer videos, and a number of straight to camera pieces from other experts. Our target audience is both health professionals and consumers, so Pixel3 did the filming in a number of different segments with a particular branding over each segment. We had a lot of branding guidelines, and Pixel3 complied with all of them.

We monitor Google Analytics, direct visits, downloads, and satisfaction feedback. Pixel3 has done many projects for us over time, and all the metrics have been positive. They're very professional and can put people at ease during the filming. Also, they always provide valuable feedback and steer us in the right direction.

How did Pixel3 Video Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

They're extremely competent, experienced, and solicitous about the way they help us understand the elements of the project. Our branding team and our media department were also involved, so it was a very collaborative process. Pixel3 is great at interacting with people and everyone enjoyed working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They will keep working and following up until everyone is satisfied with the product. Also, they have very affordable rates and deliver high-quality work, which makes them a great fit for nonprofit organizations like ours.

No. They're a fairly small company and you can build a very strong personal relationship with them.

We required quality video content to demonstrate best practice when a doctor is presented with a patience with a mental health concern.

Produce training material to help us deliver healthcare related content in a more streamlined and engage manner.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We reached out to a number of video production companies and short listed those with relevant experience. Pixel3 video Productions had produced a number of role play videos for other health providers that we were really impressed with. They also came highly recommend.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The Pixel3 team spent quite a bit of time in pre-production with us. We discussed at length what the key messages/objectives were for the video. They managed the production schedule and communicated how the video was going to be shot with all those involved. Essentially they managed the process from start to finish reaching out for feedback and assistance from us when they needed it. During the edit, they confirmed all the required elements with us before they committed to crafting the video. From graphics to be used, the the type of font and music. They also allowed for us to have a number of revisions. This was really helpful and ensured we received a production that was right for what we needed.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Really great, they use vimeo to upload our video and we could give feedback at each point in the timeline, it was really straight forward and efficient.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have used the role play video in a number of our training programs, it was been a great training tool for participants. They can watch it as often as they need. It has also meant we can use our energies on training of other material.

very effective, we used vimeo as a way to communicate any changes required in the draft versions of the video

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are a good bunch of guys and gals, always happy to help. They also really care about the quality of work they produce and the way in which they manage their clients. It was a great experience and we will certainly use them again in the future.
