BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work for Modern Fit, an online health and fitness company geared towards weight loss. We provide custom meal and fitness plans, coaching, and online features like food tracking, exercise tutorials, and body metric tracking. I am a manager who oversees the online coaches, customer support, social media, and advertising.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Pivot CMO?

We were looking to build an identity for our company as well as reach out to as many different groups of individuals as possible that could be interested in health and fitness. Even though we felt like our company offers something others don’t, it was hard to design and advertise with so much competition. This is where Pivot came in and helped.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to not only increase sales but get our name out as much as possible across the nation. While we wanted to cater to health and fitness minded individuals, we also wanted to try and capture as many people as possible. Our motto is that there is no one size fits all plan, so we felt like we can really help a large number of individuals become healthier.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Our team searched for local ad agencies and chose Pivot based on their case studies and initial pitch. Based on this and reviews of the company, we knew they could provide quality content and a perfect approach.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

After a couple of meetings discussing our goals, brand, and philosophy, we could tell their team was invested in their clients as they quickly grasped the ins and outs of our company and the direction we wanted to go in. We developed a creative plan that laid out the content and channels we would be using, and they quickly began implementing the plan. Their paid strategy worked well itself, but the SEO efforts they included in their strategy has been working wonerfully.

What was the team composition?

I worked with a few individuals on their team, and while I’m not sure exactly how many are involved with our project, I am very happy with the individuals I am working with and the work they are putting in.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Just from SEO alone, we were ranking top 3 for 20 key terms very quickly. Now we are ranking top 3 for hundreds of articles, and this has brought in great organic traffic. After just a month of paid advertising, we were on track for $250K in revenue, and now we are on track for almost $4M.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective. We sync up every week via a call, but we are constantly communicating daily through email and slack. The project manager that we work with is very communicative and responsive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was stunned by the knowledge the team possessed about not only marketing but our industry as well. They were also extremely quick about developing a strategy, content, and following through. I am continually shocked by the innovative ideas they come up with to keep our company growing. I will definitely be recommending their company to those in need of an outside marketing team.

Are there any areas for improvement?

To us, quality is very important so we were patient when working with their team. However, not only did they provide us with quality, they were very quick and exceeded our expectations in both fronts.
