I'm a department head at PrimaHealth Credit, a fintech company that offers POS financing for elective healthcare.

We needed their help to scale faster.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pegasus One is our development partner. Their team has helped us build our customer-facing web app, including all of our portals and custom apps that we use to service our customers.

We've worked together on multiple projects. Our core technology is .NET, but we've also done a lot of development work in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Additionally, we've sought Pegasus One's help with business intelligence (BI). Their team has set up a BI platform and everything else needed to power up our BI tool.

What is the team composition?

At any given moment, we've had around 10–12 dedicated team members from Pegasus One, including QA support, junior and senior engineers, and project managers.

How did you come to work with Pegasus One?

We found them through a referral.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working together since around June 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Pegasus One has been a huge part of our process of developing new features and functionality. They've been with us from almost the beginning and have been hugely instrumental in helping us deliver our product to the market.

One of the advantages of working with Pegasus One is that we can go from two to 10 engineers within a very short period of time to quickly develop products, features, and functionality as needed. We can scale up and down really efficiently without a lot of overhead. Their work has definitely saved us a lot of money and met our expectations.

How did Pegasus One perform from a project management standpoint?

Pegasus One delivers on time and on budget, and they communicate well with us. We use Zoom, GitHub, monday.com, and Microsoft Teams to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pegasus One is extremely knowledgeable and dedicated to the project. It's great to have a partner who is invested in ensuring that everything turns out smooth and functional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our biggest challenge is that we have a time zone difference. However, we've tried to compensate that difference by having earlier meetings or later meetings. There are ways to work around that challenge.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you're prepared and have your requirements documented. Moreover, communicate a lot and frequently.

FreightPal is a multi-modal, digital shipping platform, developed to create a fully automated, end to end technology solution for the Freight Logistics industry. The platform gives customers the ability to price compare, book & ship freight and track and manage information from a simple online interface. FreightPal offers web, mobile, SaaS, and API solutions to its customers. Customer Target Segments:

1. Transportation Industry: Trucking, 3PL’s, Freight Forwarders
2. Enterprise: Larger companies that would deploy a white label SaaS solution
3. SMB: Mid to small size organizations that ship but don’t have their own logistics dept. or TMS Product: eLogistics Shipping Platform Web implementation (Freightpal.com), SaaS White Label Platform (customer.freightpal.com), and API solutions (no FP front end).

The product roadmap includes feature upgrades, multi-modal shipment bundling, extended carrier service offerings, (Ocean, NFO, and expedited services), customer loyalty programs and enhanced credit card payment functionality.

Greenhouse Agency is an experiential marketing company that focuses on Outside Sales Marketing, Strategic Field Marketing, Third Party Agency execution, and Activation. The position I held was Finance Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pegasus One, and what were your goals?

The company built a website named the GARDEN to track HR, enter activation, and report on metrics. It was also used as a way to manage expenses and monitor budget spending.

Pegasus One was brought on to develop the GARDEN into a more client-customized portal. We used a project management platform to triage the numerous improvements we wanted to release on the live site.

SOLUTION

How did you select Pegasus One and what were the deciding factors?

I am not sure how Pegasus One was found and selected as I was not part of the project at that point in time.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Complete web development and maintenance of the GARDEN. We used mail services, data libraries, and project management tools.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I mainly worked with Mitul Shah and Saba Shikh, with Tushar Puri overseeing the communication between the 2 parties. I cannot recall their position titles.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had worked on a new feature per one of our client's requests, that took months to develop and test. Once it was released, the reporting was produced to the client's liking.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Using Asana was helpful as it used dates and tags to easily find certain tasks that were open or had been closed out. Most of the work was done through Asana, with an occasional Zoom meeting to clarify points.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive with this company was their desire to please the customer. They even created a WhatsApp group for emergency situations, so that the GARDEN wasn't down for long.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't think they could have done much differently. I can imagine a challenge they faced with GH was the changing of hands within the GH team member who managed the project.

I’m the CEO of IN.S.P.I.RE., a healthcare consultancy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pegasus One?

We wanted to build a software platform focusing on healthcare and education.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pegasus One is our development team. I’ve supplied the original design and specs. We’ve gone through several testing and discovery phases, and have ended up making design changes along the way. It’s been a pretty mutual process in terms of mutual input on R&D. 

The team focuses mostly on the backend development and main architecture of the platform. They’ve done a lot of integration work and leveraged features with Azure Cognitive Services. The team also uses C#. 

They’ve helped with the scoping and analyst work as well. Throughout the project, they’ve offered insight into best practices and tools, as the platform itself is pretty complex and our industry is very regulated. The platform is very detailed — it’s multilingual and has a lot of intricacies.

What is the team composition?

I work very closely with Tushar (CEO & Founder). Over the course of the engagement, I’ve worked with about 15 members of their team. 

How did you come to work with Pegasus One?

When I started looking for a developer, I was already working with another provider, with whom I was satisfied. We did some proofs of concept and I realized we needed to add more resources for the backend work. 

I started looking on LinkedIn and reached out to some contacts. I spoke to several providers, reviewing their portfolios, and assessing their work. What stood out about Pegasus One was Tushar’s initial ability to understand what I wanted and the confidence he instilled in me. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration has been going on since August 2017. We have a roadmap that’s probably going to take us out a number of years and then some.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project is still ongoing, so it’s difficult to share any success metrics. In terms of turnaround time, however, the team was able to put the mainframe platform architecture together in less than a year. It was pretty impressive. What we started with and where we are today in terms of the value of the product are two different things.

How did Pegasus One perform from a project management standpoint?

They assigned me a business analyst, so in addition to having an entire team, I also have a designated contact who helps to shepherd the project. Their communication among one another is one of the things I’ve been most impressed with. They place an emphasis on clarity, so if there’s ever a time when they need to pause and explain something to me, they do so. 

They function as an extension of our own team. Due to the complicated nature of the platform, we usually have daily calls and web conferences, sometimes even on weekends. The team has been incredibly responsive about fixing bugs or other issues as they come up. When it comes to timelines, Pegasus always delivers when they say they will. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tushar and his team are there to do the work, but they also care. Pegasus One embodies the same sense of pride in my project as I do. They have my best interests in mind, and they never do anything to put me in any sort of financial risk. Their honesty and integrity really set them apart. They’ve just been great partners. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They have such a wide net to grow their team, I’ve never felt a gap in competencies or skills.

Anyone looking to engage Pegasus One will see that they deliver. If you don’t have full clarity on your plan, Tushar and their team will help guide you to the right place. They work hard to make sure their clients are satisfied with their work.

I'm a freelancer that consulted for a company that digitizes real coffee mugs and makes 3-D models that allows users to preview logos on them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pegasus One?

I needed a partner to develop a web-based app for the 3-D modeling service.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I met with Pegasus One to explain the problem and determine the time and cost of the project. We did research for about 2–3 months to figure out how we would build the app and what the risks would be. An architect and developer created a roadmap for the project, and we then built a proof of concept that met my expectations. They used WebGL and COLLADA for the project, taking it from coding to launch. The app allows users to superimpose their logo or image onto a 3-D mug and see what it would look like in real life.

What is the team composition? 

They provided a project manager, business analyst, and four developers. 

How did you come to work with Pegasus One?

We wanted a partner from Southern California and found about 5–6 online. Pegasus One understood our project and knew the technology well, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from February 2017–April 2018.

Even though we were dabbling in new technology, we were happy with their work and the effort they put into making a successful product.

They had great project management, using Asana and an agile methodology to keep things moving. We set monthly goals and mainly communicated via Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They focus on providing an effective solution instead of just developing whatever you ask for. They’re open to innovation and are dedicated to their projects.

 No, I can't think of anything.

I am the president and primary shareholder of Cogentys Corp., a SaaS organization that provides learning management services (LMS) to firms that need to distribute digital content to their employees and capture the results.

We purchased Cogentys, an existing operating entity, in June 2009. We then hired Pegasus One to assist software development work.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted development that would help us streamline the replication process and thus allow faster growth.

We interviewed several candidates and chose Pegasus One because they were local and their principal grasped and discussed strategic objectives in a way we understood. We also sought the chance to develop a long-term partnership.

Our relationship covers all aspects of software development, including strategy, hardware requirements, and ongoing operational software support.

Our primary point of contact has been Ray (Principal/CEO, Pegasus One). However, we’ve worked with up to five team members at once. Most development and execution is done by Ray’s team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We can’t imagine success without them as our partner. We’ve addressed the needs of our existing clients and attracted new clients thanks to their work. They’re an integral aspect of our business.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We’ve always been able to reach Ray and address issues quickly to ensure that our timelines are met.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Ray developed his company and team in a way that accommodates all of our development needs in a timely and cost-effective manner. Our mutual respect and understanding allow for seamless operations between our two companies.

It might help the security of our partnership to have some contact with other Pegasus One team members.

I'm the founder and CEO of Dream Big Gaming, a startup in the world of social gaming.

We needed Pegasus One to create everything from the ground up, starting on the backend and finishing with the frontend.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a social gaming application that could be used across all browsers and devices.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Initially, I met with multiple developers but their prices were too high. I weighed the pros and cons and ultimately chose Pegasus One.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

They provided a range of services, as we were beginning entirely from scratch. They designed the website, built and incorporated multiple features on the backend, performed analytics, and delivered other essential aspects needed to bring the idea of a system to a reality.

What was the team composition?

Though the team changed depending on the task at hand, I has access to my project manager, senior developers, coders, site designers, and graphic design team members whenever I needed them.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

If not for the guidance of Pegasus One, I wouldn't have the knowledge about app development that I do now. I don’t think I would have been able to complete the project on time and on budget without their help. I learned many things throughout the process about how to bring an idea to life.

The project management arrangement worked well for me. I had a project manager who I worked with on various details of the project during the day. The work itself was done at night, so I would have an email every morning with status updates.  I could always reach my project manager.

Thoroughbred Analytics gathers raw data for races across North America. We apply proprietary algorithms and advanced statistical models to these metrics. We sell our handicapping reports to fans and pertinent websites.

For what projects/services did your company hire Pegasus One?

After our initial development, we’d hired a series of teams who claimed to have LAMP stack experience. In practice, none of them could handle our requirements We needed a competent and proficient development provider.

What were your goals for this project?

Our pressing objective was transitioning to a new environment that could facilitate both development and production. We needed to keep both of them operating smoothly and migrate incoming data. Our expansive database runs 20 hours a day and automates updates every 10 minutes.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We searched extensively online for local firms with substantial LAMP stack experience.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

Pegasus One continuously migrates live results from our database. They update algorithms and models per the requirements. Programmers write detailed code using a Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP software bundle. They’ve developed improvements for our reports, analytics, and statistical processes. Maintaining a scheduling command keeps our development and production environments running seamlessly.

Pegasus One is the only developer we’ve worked with who successfully manages the size and complexity of our database and real-time ongoing processes.

Using an ad-hoc method has proven fairly effective so far. We provided such detailed requirements that we only have to manage things as needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I admire their work for the initial server migration. They’ve provided needed updates over the past four years of our partnership. Pegasus One performed services that several more experienced shops could not.
