Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Founder and CEO of MySportify Inc.
For what projects/services did your company hire PAYG Apps Inc., and what were your goals?
PAYG Apps also known as My Zeal IT Solutions was hired to build an iOS and Android mobile app.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They had a program for start-up businesses where they allowed you to make monthly payments because they knew capital was an issue for startups.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
In the beginning, we had regular discovery meetings and they provided an initial MVP early 2019 before COVID-19 hit. They were hired to build the app based on the proposal and Application Architecture they provided. The app was supposed to be placed in both app stores.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Anshul - the owner of the company Sam - the Project Manager and brother of the owner.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
They sent me one MVP in 2019 to test and provide feedback. It was not fully functional or operational. It was just a framework.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
In the beginning stages they were good about giving me access to the project management tool to see their progress and add development notes.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
In the beginning they had great communication, which is why I didn't have any problem sending the balance for them to finish what they started.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They could have completed the work or refunded my $36,000 for service/product not rendered.
The vendor responded on September 2, 2022.
The client signed up in January 2020 and went missing after two months. We offered 12 monthly payment plan based on client commitment which was not kept after 2 months. When the client was interacting, the work was done as mentioned by the client. She went missing without notice. We have the emails for follow-ups and no response.
We kept following up on the feedback and payments but did not get any response from the client. The client returned after 1 year, and we offered to complete the project on a milestone basis, but the client wanted monthly payments, which could not be offered.
We are there to resolve the issue, but the client is unresponsive.

Mobile App & Website Dev for Biometric Payment Company
"PAYG has made the project possible with their highly skilled professionals."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the founder and CEO of a biometric payment company. We are on the technology market, and we are developing a product that allows people to make purchases with their fingerprints.
What challenge were you trying to address with PAYG Apps Inc.?
I wanted to develop a mobile application and a website that connects to the app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
PAYG developed our mobile app, website, and associated hardware. They were able to add most of the features I needed, including the biometric features and the hardware that reads biometric data. The team also integrated our technology and system with other companies, like Stripe.
What is the team composition?
Anshul (Founder) is my main point of contact; he manages the project. Based on the technology, there are different segments needed including developers for the application, cybersecurity, website, and hardware.
Anshul puts the teams together, each with different expertise, and makes them collaborate with each other; it’s one piece of technology divided into many pieces.
How did you come to work with PAYG Apps Inc.?
I met Anshul when I used to work for an angel investor group in San Francisco. I explained the entire idea of this project without knowing that he had a business like PAYG.
I asked him if everything made sense, and Anshul, who is the brain leading this technology, said it was possible with the right people. He explained the whole process to me and provided an overview, since once you begin development, there are a lot of details. Then, he offered me a great proposal and contract. That’s how I got introduced to PAYG.
How much have you invested with them?
We have invested around $65,000 for the software development, and for the hardware, we have spent around $30,000–$35,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2020. The project is still under development. We’re not 100% complete because I chose other partners that I wanted to integrate with the app. They were not part of the main timeline or contract, and we had to spend time integrating them. That is why we had to increase the timeline.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The success has been better than I thought it would be. As the creator and entrepreneur, I have something in my mind, but I need to understand the technology side and what makes sense in terms of flow and process. I’m younger than Anshul, and he has a lot of experience developing not only the backend but also the frontend and UX. We talk a lot about how the user will receive this type of signup process, agreement, and other aspects of the UX. I also bring my generation’s point of view. We match perfectly because we have come up with a solution that works.
We have gotten a lot done, including two apps and pieces of the hardware. Everything's coming together, and we are seeing results. I feel more comfortable with the money invested.
How did PAYG Apps Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We have a WhatsApp group with Anshul and my team. He decided not to add other developers from his team to the group because all of the decisions come through him. Anshul meets with my team, and then he talks with his team.
We also schedule weekly Zoom calls. We don’t meet on a specific day, but if we alert Anshul 24 hours in advance, he is available to jump on a call. He is very flexible.
What did you find most impressive about them?
As an entrepreneur, it is impressive to see the product you’ve envisioned finally working. The type of project I had in my mind seemed a bit unrealistic and expensive. PAYG has made the project possible with their highly skilled professionals.
I’m impressed with PAYG’s experience and structure. They are the best people with the best price; it's a good balance. In the beginning, I needed to find someone I could trust with my project because I don’t know anything about technology or code. I learned how to trust Anshul because he follows the timeline and has started to get results.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so. We work well together. We have had small, regular issues, but nothing that would prevent me from hiring PAYG again.
Any advice for potential customers?
For anyone looking to develop an app or hardware, you need to understand what you want and need. The technology would change during the development process, and it could become something you didn’t want. It doesn’t matter if you already signed the contract. That’s why it is very important to explain the idea and ask PAYG if it’s possible or not to do it.
PAYG Apps Inc.’s work failed to meet the client’s expectations. Although they initially displayed great communication and project management skills, they didn’t complete the app. The end product was not functional and was only a framework. They became unresponsive after taking the client’s money.
This review includes the vendor’s response.
