University Hospital Foundation - Digital Marketing

The University Hospital Foundation needed to grow their donation rates and support life-changing healthcare programs. These programs support initiatives like increasing their world-class Cardiac Care developments, bio-tech related to limb replacement and public health initiatives for pandemics like COVID-19.

We been consistently providing key digital strategies across Google, YouTube, Facebook and Email for the University Health Foundation. Edmonton Airshow - Social Media Marketing
The Edmonton Air show is arguably the most exciting summer event in the city. With unique aircraft from across North America attending, and a wide list of other attractions, it's an event not to be missed.
Project Goals.
The Edmonton Air Show needed to increase their ticket sales for the event through their website. While the event is well known and a popular attraction for locals, the event was loosing traction against other summer events in the Festitval City.
The Results
We worked with Focus Communications to build eye-catching and engaging creative to launch across Facebook and Instagram to targeted audience segments. By segmenting past customers, lookalike audiences, remarketing lists, custom tag manager optimizations and digital contests, we were able to increase their overall ticket sales from the previous year while reducing the average cost-per-ticket from historical averages.

Quikcard - Digital Marketing
Quikcard offers innovative, comprehensive benefits solutions and a full range of group insurance products designed around Canadian companies and their employees.
Project Goals.
Quikcard built an interactive new website with a digital funnel system to drive company insurance and benefits policies. They needed to compete with local small business insurers to conquest new prospective customers. With a focus on low-funnel traffic opportunities they opted to work with us for Google Ads management.

For what projects/services did your company hire Parilon Digital, and what were your goals?
Parilon Digital was hired to help us achieve very aggressive launch goals with a new product launch, with the goal of selling 10,000 units by year end. Parilon leveraged Facebook and Instagram ads, as well as Google campaigns as we built the brand up from scratch.
Parilon is our go-to agency for a wide variety of client campaigns and product launches, and it's no wonder why when they can get such great results right out of the gate, with no existing platform or social media presence.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched and interviewed several marketing specialists, as well as sourcing our recommendations from trusted colleagues and peers. Parilon digital was referred to us by two different individuals, each with glowing reviews and proof of expertise.

We worked with Lowell from Parilon, who weighed in on the project from almost the beginning, helping guide us towards building landing pages that were more likely to convert, as well as defining overall social media and google marketing strategy.
From design through implementation and ongoing optimization, Lowell was with us every step of the way. Parilon consistently provided feedback and recommendations on how we could improve our assets to get better results, and Lowell in particular was excellent in reviewing results with us as well as pivoting whenever needed.

We worked primarily with Lowell, Parilon founder and lead strategist / ceo.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Unfortunately I can't share the exact results of our campaigns as the information is highly proprietary, however I can share that Parilon helped us exceed our own benchmarks and we are exceptionally pleased with the results delivered by both Parilon and Lowell.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Exceptional. The Parilon team was consistently available on Slack (our preferred communication tool) for questions and was always quick to respond to any enquiries, as well as providing us with ongoing status updates and recommendations. Every communication was responded to very thoroughly and in a very timely manner.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Can I say everything? Parilon has managed digital marketing and advertising campaigns for so many different industries that they were able to not just knock our campaigns out of the park, but help us do a better design and copywriting job to ensure we got the results we wanted.
We've since worked with Parilon on other campaigns, and no matter the niche or client, they are able to pivot and meet us exactly where we are. It's a joy to work with them, knowing that at least the marketing side of things will go smoothly :)
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really, though maybe Lowell and the Parilon team might want to set better boundaries to protect their time (from us and other clients). We're certainly not complaining, but there were several times where we reached out about non-urgent item after regular working hours or on a weekend and Lowell responded immediately.
EXCELLENT customer service, but maybe they've led us to expect TOO much (though they always deliver).

While we have always relied on our experience, reputation and word of mouth for much for building our brand we were looking to attract a larger patient base and track these stats with detailed analytics.

Our goal was to reach a larger patient base and have the stats to tell us who they are and what methods were successful in acquiring these new leads to potential patients.

Initially and online search which resulted in leads to several companies. Follow-up phone calls were the deciding factor when choosing Parilon Digital.

While we do much of our marketing in-house, Parilon Digital was tasked to set-up Google Ads and Sponsored Social Media ads. They designed and manage all of the target audiences, keywords and prepare monthly reports back to our team.
What was the team composition?
I work directly with Lowell. I'm not sure how many others he has on the team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Over the last several months we have seen a steady increase in patients who have found us through an online search as opposed to traditional referral sources such as dental partners or family referrals. This has allowed us to reach patients who we may never have reached otherwise.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Lowell has been incredible to work with. Most of our communication has been over email and phone calls with a few in person meetings as well. Communication has always been clear and concise, which I really appreciate. His responsiveness is quick and effective while always remaining friendly and personable.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I've been most impressed with the responsiveness of their work and the lack of need for supervision. I can always see the results of what they have been working on and never have to follow-up on where we are at with a project.
They are always managing the stats and responding and planning accordingly to continue moving forward. I also really appreciate how easy they've been to communicate with.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The team and I have all been so impressed with Parilon Digital that I can't really think of any ways that they could improve. They have exceeded our expectations right from the beginning.

CommAlert offers services that have benefits across many industries. With COVID-19, CommAlert can replace a lot of the communication and monitoring services for people working in remote locations on their own (lone worker monitoring, call answering, appointment booking, etc). We wanted to create focused campaigns that would generate leads for specific industries.
How did you select Parilon Digital and what were the deciding factors?
I was referred to Parilon from a design & web agency and the three of us (companies) worked together on the project. Parilon was an easy decision because of their pragmatic approach, their logical and ongoing recommendations and reasonable pricing.

Our engagement started with research and discovery, understanding exactly what the client wanted to achieve, what sectors were the most profitable for him, and where we could show the most value with his company's value prop. We then came back with a few recommendations for our plan, based on keyword research, competitive analysis, and cost research.
We narrowed down our goals and approach to three distinct audiences and start building the landing pages with Parilon's input on conversion and best practices for digital. Parilon then built their keywords, ads budget, and ad sets, which we all gave feedback and the client approved. We started running the ads, and Parilon started giving quick feedback based on performance - what to tweak on the landing pages, how to adjust the budgets, etc.
We saw very quick results with three conversions in the first few weeks. The client continues to receive monthly updates and recommendations. This is their first digital campaign and they are extremely happy with the results.

My client was looking for a complete marketing strategy and we partnered with Parilon Digital for their help in developing and implementing the digital marketing and SEO piece of the marketing plan. We needed to seamlessly integrate the client's offline marketing with their digital presence.

Our goal was to take the client's haphazard previous marketing and create a completely new marketing solution that focused on offline, traditional marketing as well as a robust digital online presence.

We reviewed this strategy with the client and outlined a 6-month implementation plan where we would build their online presence through organic and paid digital efforts. Parilon worked in conjunction with the client as well as our company to ensure all tasks we being completed and we were all clear on the goals and objectives of what we were doing.

We've just begun rolling out the digital strategy, but the communication and ease of working with Parilon has made both myself and our client extremely happy. Parilon is professional and timely in all communication and implementation and I look forward to continuing to work with them.

Parilon was happy to jump into the client's preferred method of communication with consists of a slack channel for daily communication, Microsoft online teams meeting for video meetings, and a basecamp project management centre.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Parilon's knowledge and creativity in blending the client's offline marketing with a well thought out digital strategy were impressive. My experience has been that not everyone is open to working between traditional and digital marketing but this was not the case with Parilon. They took a fresh approach to help create a complete marketing strategy.
