365.bank is digital bank providing digital banking services in the Slovak Market. It is the result of series of digital banking transformations of the traditional Post Bank Slovakia. My position in the bank is Chief Enterprise Architect.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Panaxeo, and what were your goals?

Program HORIZON is the 3rd phase of ongoing bank's digital transformation. It implements new digital banking architecture (new digital banking platform) that delivers strategic goals, addresses market trends and solve our long term shortcomings. It includes full stack digital bank, moved into cloud and integration with specific on-premise and 3rd party services.

HORIZON program hit all the bank capabilities - products & services, sales, marketing, compliance, security, risk management, finance, IT and others - and on all the levels - business, applications, data and technology. Panaxeo was hired to help us to establish modern development processes and adopt best development practices for cloud platform development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose Panaxeo based on their expertise with banking and fintech software solutions. We needed a reliable partner versed in AWS and knowledgeable in the best practices present in the field – to be able to adapt and implement them ourselves.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

HORIZON is a large transformation project which has been going on for several years already. The stage during which Panaxeo joined our forces mainly focuses on building custom apps and services which would serve as glue between our on-site and cloud infrastructure. The goal of this stage is to gradually move to the cloud without our users noticing any hiccups.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

On the regular, we worked with an architect and two engineers who formed their own unit which quickly integrated into our core teams.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The program itself is still ongoing, but we value Panaxeo’s input on our security systems. They went above and beyond the call of duty, opting to create our own custom security system and multi-step authorization process.

Smooth, seamless and self-managed. Panaxeo team provided high quality service, always on time and beyond requested quality.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Panaxeo team has surprised us by going above and beyond what was expected, even designing and implementing their own custom safety procedures. Thanks to their experience and know-how, we are able to set up our own approach going forward, based on what they have been able to bring to the table.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The project itself is still ongoing and we hope that the team keeps the high level of professionalism they are at.
