We needed to move a full container of brewing equipment from China to Winnipeg, amidst all of the chaos of post-COVID shipping where ports were ultra congested and a lot of uncertainty in the market.

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

After conducting an extensive web search and contacting Alex, a quick conversation was enough to get me on board. He was realistic, professional, personable, and assured me that he had the connections and resources to get this project done.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

The project seems simple - move a container of goods from Qingdao to Winnipeg. However, in the midst of the post-pandemic shipping chaos, it was Paige's responsibility to get the goods to us through three ports and into the middle of North America, port-to-door.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were a number of people involved, but mostly I was in contact with Alex, who managed the whole thing on their side.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

We received our shipment in a relatively timely manner, given the state of things. Everything was in great condition. We had some wonderful people dealing with our goods at each step.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was quick and responsive. Any issues were dealt with swiftly and efficiently.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The customer service. Alex was on-the-ball when it came to updates and responses to our questions. I was always in the loop on where things stood and what I could expect in the coming days.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Paige Logistics Ltd brings in inbound freight from across Canada and the United States. I arrange full truckloads of our products with them through rail or road, to deliver to Star Marketing warehouses.

What is the team composition?

I work with Alex (CEO) and David (Dispatcher).

How did you come to work with Paige Logistics Ltd?

One of the vendors who we deal with uses them for road service from El Paso, Texas. I decided to give Paige Logistics a shot as they had good customer service, great communication, and very competitive pricing and rates.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $100,000 on their services a year.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in October 2019.
