Financial Services
The client is an old financial planning and insurance brokerage company that helps individual and corporate customers with their financial planning for a secure future.
Financial experts and agents at the client site were relying on face-to-face interaction with their potential customers to give information about their services and help them invest. This was an inefficient model since they had to accommodate their limited financial experts at the location and time slot as per the convenience of their clients.
Hence, they now wanted to move these operations to a web-based platform with an intention of providing financial coaching to a large client base.
Given our vast experience in digital engineering, we took this project up with confidence and keen interest. After a few design discussions with the client, we decided to go in with a website that included the following features:
- After taking bare minimum information from the users, a model financial plan was to be given to them that would help them achieve their short term, midterm, and long term financial goals.
- Generated financial health report(with the help of some tools designed by us) for the users and also provided various options available to them in terms of mutual funds and also showed the rating of each mutual fund
- Provision to buy mutual funds directly from the platform

E-commerce Mobile App
Store King is an e-commerce enterprise focusing on rural India. They facilitate local kirana shops ( mom and pop stores) to deliver products to customers around them without the shops needing to own any inventory. Store King’s goal is to address the last mile delivery challenge. In other words, they wanted to service the rural section where big e-commerce giants found it challenging to deliver their products.
When Store King approached Pace Wisdom back, they wanted to design an ‘assisted e-commerce’ app to be used by end customers of rural India. The purpose of the app was to enable the rural folks to place orders for products and be able to receive them via Store local shops that were associated with Store king. The app had to be made available in four south Indian vernacular languages in addition to English.
Those were the days when slow mobile data was an expensive thing in metropolitan cities in India. 3G networks were nearly unavailable in rural villages and 2G service was slow and expensive. We had to work around the sparse availability of mobile internet in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India while providing them with access to millions of products via online catalogue.
With mobile internet out of the question, we decided to use SMS gateway to our advantage. We designed the app such that it came preloaded with a product catalogue. Further, if the customers wanted to access more products, they could borrow a memory card with more products in the catalogue. Such memory cards would be available at their local shops. Alternatively, the local shops could act like a kiosk, displaying products from the SD card on a TV.
First, we designed an android app that could communicate with the Store king servers via SMS. Then,we assigned product codes to each item in the catalogue. Whenever a customer wanted to buy a product, the Store king app would send the associated product code to the servers as SMS and receive a response from the server in the form of another SMS. Thus, within 2-3 SMS exchanges, the purchase could be completed. Few days later, the product would be delivered to the associated local shop in the customer's village.
More features of the app can be found here - https://pacewisdom.com/resources/case-studies/storeking

AgriTech Solutions
Criyagen is a life science company with a mission to deliver low-cost, eco-friendly inputs for sustainable agriculture and develops carbon-neutral energy means for a better tomorrow.
The challenge was Criyagen wanted to develop an app to bridge the information gap between the farmers and the scientific developments in the agriculture sector. Through the app, Criyagen also wanted to provide the farmers with a platform where they can discuss crop-related problems with scientists and experts. Additionally, they wanted to keep the farmers informed about the most optimal farming practices and to provide them a guided crop calendar.
Further, the biggest challenge for us was to make the app work seamlessly in remote villages of the country where high-speed internet is not guaranteed all the time. We had to keep in mind that the image exchange between the farmers and scientists through the chat feature in the app did not take up too much data bandwidth. Providing support in 13 Indian languages and yet keeping the app light was another technical challenge for us.
We were thrilled to take this project up because we believed that something as useful as the Agri app was much needed for the farmers of our country. We invested some time to thoroughly understand the requirements of our client. We also brainstormed to identify more features that could be beneficial for the app and subsequently, the farmers.
Our approach was to design a simple, easy-to-use UI (User Interface) keeping a basic literate farmer in mind. This was done in an Android environment. In the backend, we implemented a Laravel PHP based Admin control.
More features of the app can be found here - https://pacewisdom.com/resources/case-studies/agriapp
