Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and president of SunCoast RHIO, a private organization that provides healthcare information and ratings to hospitals, doctors, and consumers. We have a lot of high-security network systems that are certified by the government, so we also make audit reports when requested.


What challenge were you trying to address with P3 Healthcare Solutions?

We needed someone to manage our medical billing and make our product line more comprehensive.


What was the scope of their involvement?

P3 Healthcare Solutions works with doctors to ensure that the proper bills get sent out to patients and insurance companies. They make sure our billing runs smoothly, that reimbursements get sent to the right people, and that the charges are correct on the first time. If something is wrong, P3 Healthcare Solutions goes through the necessary steps to set things straight.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with an account manager and four other people, although they have a larger team that we’ve never met.

How did you come to work with P3 Healthcare Solutions?

They reached out to us to get our help with quality reporting. As we talked, I realized they were a good company that cared for their customers, so when we needed help with billing, I turned to them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since 2015.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s a bit too early to tell, but we’ve seen a 5%–10% uptick in revenue. By the end of the year, it’ll probably be closer to around 30%. The numbers of people requesting our services is growing incrementally. P3 Healthcare Solutions enables our providers to get paid faster, and they make billing consistent and reliable.

How did P3 Healthcare Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re incredibly responsive, answering my questions on the weekends and at night. We’re a few hours ahead of them, but they still answer our calls, even when it’s early in the morning for them. They’ve also trained some of our internal team to understand their products.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re knowledgeable and understand our complex field well. They’ve managed to bridge the gap between running a medical practice and making medical care personal for patients who are suffering.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be more proactive in training.
