OUTCREATE are a strategic and creative partner of Inov-8's. They are one of the best-known and most technically advanced sports apparel brands in the world.
The asked OUTCREATE to help them launch their most important and top secret trail running shoe - the INOV-8 TRAILFLY ULTRA G 300 MAX.
OUTCREATE works as one with marketing teams, and we helped Inov-8's find a creative platform for all the work to springboard from.
This video is one several created that helped tease, then launch the shoe.
OUTCREATE built a campaign around the core thought of 'trailblazing' due to the shoe's world first graphene technologies within the shoe. It was designed to help trail runners run faster for longer and the new foam helped them do that. It was one of several patented-pending features we helped INOV-8 showcase.
OUTCREATE came up with a social strategy to help Inov-8 tease and then launch the Trail. Blazing. campaign on instagram. This involved dozens of posts and stories to help drive anticipation at launch.
Within the instagram stories OUTCREATE came up with, we made sure the shoes key features were singled out in individual posts.
As part of our role as creative agency, OUTCREATE worked on all aspects of the campaign to ensure creative consistency. Working remotely with photographers and videographers, we helped create a stunning library of content to give the clients plenty of images and footage to help originate and maintain the awareness across all media and touchpoints.
OUTCREATE is skilled at working remotely with other professionals. This helps keep budgets low, and has been essential during the UK lockdown.
OUTCREATE handled many aspects of the launcg activity. From the photo shoots, filming, concept creation, stortyboarding, social asset creation, copywriting, design work and even the retail display.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the founder and CEO of a startup named Trundl.
What challenge were you trying to address with OUTCREATE?
We needed a feasibility study to see whether the brand would make it in the world of COVID-19 that we live in. Also, we didn't have any marketing or advertising experience, so we wanted to find an agency that had expertise and pedigree.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When I first went to OUTCREATE, I had an idea in my head and needed somebody to get that out of my head and help me develop that brand look; that's exactly what Rob (Owner) did. I didn't understand the process of marketing and brand creation, so he was extremely patient with me.
In terms of brand and design, OUTCREATE took my idea and turned it into a fully-fledged brand from start to finish. They played a very large consultancy role throughout the development of the brand. Because we're a startup, that relationship is going to continue since copywriting is also a big part of what Rob has done for me.
Within his agency he also has a marketing strategist, so he brought them into work on that side of the project. They checked out who was in the market, how it looked, and more.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact is Rob, but we’ve worked with 4–5 associates.
How did you come to work with OUTCREATE?
By complete fluke, I followed Rob as a runner on Instagram. When I was looking for an agency, I was overwhelmed by the number of agencies. When Rob started OUTCREATE, he put a post out on social media. I thought he seemed like a nice guy, but I had no idea of his pedigree. I then looked him up on LinkedIn, realized just how experienced he was in marketing and advertising, and got in touch.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested £45,000 (approximately $62,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in August 2020, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Rob developed the presentation document for our brand partners, and without a shadow of a doubt, everybody that saw those presentation documents acknowledged the caliber of the brand and marketing campaign. A lot of startups don’t put in attention to detail. Their marketing is not done well enough, whereas we already look like a wearable brand. That's made a massive difference. This has been an invaluable experience because I've learned so much working with them compared to if I'd have gone to a much bigger agency.
How did OUTCREATE perform from a project management standpoint?
For project management, we use Zoom, Google Docs, and Trello. Rob also introduced me to MindMup so we could make mind maps, which has been brilliant for taking our ideas and putting brand maps together.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The one thing I wasn't expecting is the fact that Rob goes above and beyond what he should for the price. For the price that I've paid, I definitely had my money's worth and more. He is quietly thoughtful, so he's constantly thinking about how to do things and make them better.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that I’ve found that they could have done better.
Any advice for potential customers?
Don't forget, his agency is specialized in outdoor branding. He's very specific in what he does, and he has an absolute love of the outdoors. That passion for it really comes through in what he's doing. For anybody that's coming from an outdoor brand or association, this is definitely the correct company to talk to.
