I’m the CEO at Sandhill Crane Diagnostics, Inc, a startup biotech company developing healthcare products.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a professional looking website to increase our visibility to investors and company partners. It needed to communicate that we’re filling an unmet need for improving healthcare in rural communities and project our credibility as a medical device/digital health company.

The owner of Otter Creative Studio created a company website for me previously and performed amazing SEO.

Describe the project in detail.

After selecting Otter Creative Studios, we discussed my requirements for theme, pages, color scheme, and overall appearance. We also discussed the pros and cons of auto-rotating sliders. I provided all content, and they sent links for theme ideas and colors and requested photos. Progress was tracked through an online tool which helped make changes more efficient.

What was the team composition?

We’re a very small company, so all the work was coordinated between myself and the owner of Otter Creative Studio.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our product is still in development, so there are no customer analytics, but we have received multiple comments on the site’s professional appearance. People also say it conveys the message we wanted.

The cooperation was smooth from start to finish.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They excelled at listening to the needs of an industry they weren’t familiar with. They were also helpful in providing suggestions and patient with our many changes. We were also particularly impressed with their SEO capability.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I could have used help with web content, but that wasn’t a service they provided at the time.

They have built a website, developed an app, orchestrated several PPC and social media ad campaigns, and set up automated marketing software. The site has been renovated more than three times throughout our partnership. Their daily tasks include email and social media management, content blogging, updating local listings, and general marketing consulting.

They assigned one strategist to our account, but we occasionally interact with other members within their organization.

Otter Creative Studios has been our digital marketing vendor since October 2008.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We started as a local shop, and with the help of Otter Creative Studios, we became a national corporation. There was a noticeable boost in our site traffic and search engine ranking after they integrated keywords into our content, which exceeded our expectations. SEO has evolved significantly since our first engagement, they have continued to deliver amazing results with ad campaigns via email, Facebook, and Google.

The flow of communication is impeccable; they always keep us informed of their progress, and they make sure to get our approval before making significant changes. We currently have a remote partner, but they never have an issue meeting deadlines.
