    Feedback summary:

The Orange Lab delivered a responsive website. Although their marketing efforts haven’t produced any ROI just yet, possibly due to external circumstances, the internal team is hoping to see good results. They are a time-conscious and attentive partner that communicates regularly.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

    BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a consultant at a company that started out as a screen-printing operation and transitioned to a promotional products distributor. We serve several different clients and structures.

    OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with The Orange Lab?

These types of businesses change rapidly, so it was important to build as broad a client base as possible and to reach out to new clients. COVID-19 has made that even more necessary.

Our objective was to create a website and associate social media platforms in order to initiate a marketing campaign in the hopes of bringing in new clients and opportunities.

    SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a WordPress website, and they’re using Google and Facebook business interfaces in order to build marketing campaigns.

    What is the team composition?

We work with about 2–3 individuals regularly.

How did you come to work with The Orange Lab?

I was recommended to the owner of the company.

What is the status of this engagement?

The collaboration between our company and The Orange Lab began about two years ago.

    RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The work we’re doing is multi-layered. The website is very responsive. In terms of marketing, we haven’t seen a payoff yet. Our expectation for marketing is that anything we put out there will have a smaller ROI because of the current economic situation, but we’re hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

How did The Orange Lab perform from a project management standpoint?

When we send them a notification about updates, the team responds in a timely manner. The Orange Lab also does well with deadlines. They wanted us to use Trello and Slack, but I can only check so many platforms in a day.

I see the value of Trello for them, but for me as a customer, I always end up just emailing them. I prefer an email trail of what’s happening.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Orange Lab is very attentive and responsive, which is very important. Their constant communication and responsiveness are key strengths.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have experienced a bit of a language issue, so we’re always careful to review everything from an English-speaking point of view to make sure that everything flows smoothly. The team responds positively when we give them feedback.
