A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of technology in an organization that provides multiple currency exchange and payment solutions. We have a customer-centric, bespoke model where we give clients personal support and not just a map with no human interaction.
Our fully automated system addresses the needs of companies that have no technological elements at all. At the same time, we have account managers who work closely with the clients to advise them regarding currency and what actions they should take.
What challenge were you trying to address with Optimal Logics?
We don’t have an in-house resource to handle the development of functionalities for our Dynamic CRM, which we use heavily in our sales process, so we outsourced the work to Optimal Logics.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We operate in a Scrum model where we have development sprints every three weeks. In order to build new functionalities on our CRM, we assign stories and bugs to the Optimal Logics team. They carry on the work that has been done by other developers that we previously worked with.
The deliverables are usually in the form of completed code, which is subject to review on our side. Their team also deploys functionalities to our test environments to come up with a guide for deployment during production.
What is the team composition?
There were two people assigned to this project, both of whom are developers.
How did you come to work with Optimal Logics?
When we were looking for someone to outsource the CRM development work to, we came across Optimal Logics’ senior developer, Nauman (CEO & Co-Founder), who fit the role and started working with us. Eventually, we had to expand and needed more hands, and that’s when they brought in Rameez (Co-Founder), the second developer.
How much have you invested with them?
On average, we spend around $4,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started around December 2019 and the partnership is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Unfortunately, I cannot measure the ROI, because their team works on specific development tasks and not a whole outsourced project. However, I will say that Optimal Logics has very dedicated developers who are very easy to work with and are very knowledgeable. They are eager to learn new techniques and try new things.
I’m very happy to be working with them as it’s been a very beneficial partnership for both sides. We hope to continue working with them for a long time in the future.
How did Optimal Logics perform from a project management standpoint?
We are working remotely and it’s been very efficient. We have outsourced teams in other countries, so we’re used to working in this model.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their best selling point is offering the services of Dynamic CRM-experienced developers at a reasonable price.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Of course, there are some things we continually work on improving with them, but it’s just day-to-day stuff. I think they’re doing really well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you are comfortable working with developers who are in a different time zone than you. Be very specific in the tasks that you give them and make sure you have someone on site who has the technical knowledge, understands what they’re doing, and can work with Optimal Logics.
Optimal Logics was able to accomplish the development tasks assigned to them. The team is knowledgeable and experienced with Microsoft Dynamic CRM development. The client appreciates their eagerness to learn and try new things.
