OpThink was hired to buttress the development team of an online marketing company. Upon being brought in, they focused on automating manual processes to free up the client's time and resources.

OpThink built out a customized system that allows for the client to handle multiple projects at once, increasing their manpower two-fold. Their open-mindedness and willingness to engage unique ideas really differentiates them. While there were slight delays, they're a transparent and skilled team.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

We are a online marketing company focusing on both b2b and b2c sections since 3 years. We help other businesses communicate what they're good at in a very cost effective way. My position is the owner of the company, we are a team of 6 people.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire OpThink?

I had been thinking a lot about developing the company on the IT and software side, mainly on automation, which can help basically any company to cut their costs. However I didn't know how can I acheive this and even which processes could be automated.

What were your goals for this project?

The initial goal was that we wanted to be able to accept more jobs and projects with the same team.

How did you select this vendor?

One of my old friend recommended OpThink and after talking to several companies, they were the most transparent and the most supportive in their work, even before talking about the price or the actual job.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

This project did help us in b2c marketing. First, they created an internal website in which we can easily manage our clients. Under every b2c client we can create marketing projects which was connected to several 3rd party ppc systems. This way, we are able to manipulate everything from one place. Secondly, the software is monitoring and providing us useful keywords and pricing tips on some projects, most of the offers the system makes is acceptable.

What was the team composition?

There was one project manager, I was talking mostly with him and he did all the work they needed to get the job done. 3 developer worked on this project and they collaborated to the project when it came to the technical sides.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

With the system they built we can handle almost twice as much projects and jobs then we could before.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We were communicating over the phone or personally. Every 2-3 weeks the full team had a meeting to see what's going on and to make sure that everyone knows what's the vision of the system they were building.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The way they handled some of my crazy questions. The project manager was super cool and he always took the time to help me understand everything. Other than that, is the transparency.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The project was late 1 week or so, but that's not so bad. They could however improve the productivity on the 'big team' meetings.
