Oozle Media has given us lists of questions to determine what target market to aim at and how to get that target market. They’ve designed and built our new website from scratch. 

They created an Instagram page for us, and they manage our Instagram and Facebook accounts, reaching out to food influencers. We’ve provided Oozle Media with some photos, but they’ve also created content independently. They’ve also run ad campaigns for us on Facebook and Google.

We work with about 10 people at Oozle Media, including our main point of contact Haley (Account Manager).

The company that previously handled our social media and website referred us to Oozle Media.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $100,000 with Oozle Media. We invest between $3,000–$5,000 per month depending on what projects they’re working on for us each month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Oozle Media in January 2018, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our restaurant’s sales are up about 23% over our best prior year. They’ve built a really nice website for us that increased our volume almost immediately. Oozle Media is a very good branding partner, and they’ve been wonderful to work with. 

How did Oozle Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Oozle Media has delivered everything that they said they would and more. Their project management has been fantastic. We’re in touch with Haley 3–4 times a week, if not daily. She’s been wonderful — she’s been very responsive and dedicated to this account. We communicate with Oozle Media via email, phone calls, and texts. We meet in person twice a month.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Oozle Media has been very responsive, professional, and results-driven. They’ve under-promised and over-delivered.

We have no improvements to suggest for Oozle Media.

Marketing and building our new website. We wanted a site that was more user friendly and on brand for us. Ours was dated and needed a "facelift"

The Oozle team broke down the web design in many easy steps for us and they were able to share examples along the way. Anna specifically helped us communicate with the team and made everything very convenient.

We work with Anna for all of our reporting needs and she was on board with this project as well which was so helpful. We also worked with Cheryl in the end to complete the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our new site is awesome and is clearly generating many leads. We were able to see the outcomes with Anna on our monthly reports call! Very exciting!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I believe that Anna is the perfect person to connect our business to the Web Developing team. We work closely with her and trust her knowledge in the industry to lead us in the right direction.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have the flexibility to allow us to bring in our own ideas and bring them to life.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We did have multiple team members that we worked with through the process which was frustrating but in the end the team worked very well together.

I’m the managing director at a small cosmetology school and we have around 100 hundred students in Lafayette, Louisiana. We’re a 38-year old business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oozle Media?

I first got involved with them to do some social media marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’d never done social media and we always relied on word-of-mouth recommendations from our thousands of graduates. We only did some traditional advertising. When we tried social media marketing, it was going well. 

We were doing search ads on Google, and then three months into it, the pandemic hit. We still continued to do it for a few months, but then it came to the point where I couldn’t even take any student. As a result, it made no sense to continue because there was really no way to know if it was being effective anymore. The team also briefly provided SEO services. 

In the process, I learned that my current website was out of date and it was not going to be supported anymore. As a result, I decided to hire them to migrate what we had on our previous platform onto a new website. They moved everything to WordPress using their methodologies and mobile app optimization. Within a few months, the team already completed our platform. Oozle Media continues to host our website.

We’re working with a couple of people from Oozle Media, including Zach (Web Development Project Manager), their salespeople, and their owner.  

How did you come to work with Oozle Media?

I found out about them through their involvement in our national association. Oozle media specializes in beauty schools, which is a small segment of a big market. They’re extremely active in our national association. I met them and  I’ve seen their work. When I met them at an annual meeting in Vegas, I decided that I’m going to work with a company that’s familiar with our business.

How much have you invested with them?

The website was roughly $5,000. We probably spent $2,000 a month in social media advertising and $3,000–$4,000 for SEO.

What is the status of this engagement?

We probably started working with them in May 2019, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The social media efforts they did prior to the pandemic had doubled our leads. Then, it tripled once our new website was released. Our new website has been doing well compared to our previous platform. 

How did Oozle Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Zach, our project manager, has been excellent. In fact, he’s waiting on us more than we’re ever waiting for him. 

We typically have Zoom calls or use other tools that they’ve been using. They give me updates and let me know what the next steps are.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise in cosmetology schools is impressive. We have a unique segment in the education market, so I admire their commitment to helping the whole market grow. They offer a lot of their services for free to our community. Moreover, they also conduct a lot of webinars and perform educational services. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not sure if the training on how to make minor modifications on the website is going to be adequate. We did a two-hour session and it was recorded. However, it’s a lot for one session to learn how to use the software. Despite that, they’re better than my last provider. 

The sufficiency of the session remains to be seen and we haven’t had a need to go back yet. However, I’m sure the team is going to support me in other ways. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ask a lot of questions because the team is very good at answering them. They also follow up on things they can’t answer. If you’re new to this, there’s a lot to learn such as new languages and terms.

How did you select Oozle Media?

We run an RFP process. Part of this process was not only price/costs. Equally important to us was to come back with ideas/proposals on how to increase conversion rates and still provide relevant and valuable information to future students.

Describe the project in detail.

After the selection was done, we follow the approved methodology recommended by OozleMedia to identify wireframes and high-level design.

We together selected plugins for the event ticket system, job board, event calendar, and Paypal integration. Start Point was the home page.

Afterward, we converted existing content, so we could later decide what to keep or change.

What was the team composition?

We named an acting executive sponsor and named a single contact from every department (admission, student services, finance, and education) that needed to be involved. Overall project management was done by OozleMedia.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

High acceptance internal and external. People love the look and feel. The simplicity and performance. Verified by our students.

Increase in leads by 30% in the first months already. People staying longer on our website and request information. Employees are fully involved and be an important part of future content generations.

Still in the process to adopt processes to new functionality and make them more customer-focused.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

This project was done in a stressful time of Covid-19. So all communication was done digitally and remotely. People had to adapt their day to day life ad-hoc.

OozleMedia understood the situation and was sensitive enough to understand when people need longer to respond or simply a break. Always offered advice and a helpful hand.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They always looked at the situation from the customer's side. Bringing great technical skills to the project and even more important to understand the school and beauty business. They offered solutions and alternatives. Not just saying yes to all requests. Always willing to discuss the why as well the what.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The integration work with the CRM provider should be started earlier to avoid last minutes issues. A little more training and written documentation would be very helpful especially with the integration of plugins.

I’m an admissions officer for Turnabout Ranch, a residential treatment facility for troubled teens on a working cattle ranch.

What challenge were you trying to address with Oozle Media?

We were trying to recreate a very outdated website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They absolutely reworked our website and are now working to increase our organic presence. There’s a continuing relationship. The site is brand new and it’s gorgeous. Our old site wasn’t mobile responsive so they included that capability. They created the site on WordPress and provided training for myself. I run some of the digital marketing and website updates and this training was part of their package.

What is the team composition?

I worked with at least eight people including, project managers and a support team that did the actual coding. I usually had a team lead as my main contact. Recently, we had a malware issue on the site and multiple people were responding to the issue within half an hour.

How did you come to work with Oozle Media?

I was told to start researching companies and they were local to Utah where we are. I called in about a dozen companies to interview and Oozle clicked with us. We’re also a fully accredited academic program and Oozle had experience working with schools. Additionally, they were very enthusiastic. They had great pricing and responsiveness as well.

For the website, we spent about $20,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from January 2018 until February 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site was up and running within our goal timeframe. Extremely easy to work with, they listened to our vision. We have a philosophy and a brand about how we work with kids and Oozle Media stayed true to those values. They also kept us on a timeline while sticking to it themselves. We’re very happy and are looking to expand further into more marketing with them.

In terms of metrics, traffic on our site has doubled since the launch. We’ve also seen increased submitted web forms asking for more information. The site was a dinosaur when I first started but they cleaned it up very nicely. Their SEO and organic marketing stuff have been great drawing business in as well.

How did Oozle Media perform from a project management standpoint?

When it came down to building the site, we had a large shared file that assigned tasks to each side and provided information on progress. The tool was automated and user friendly so I always knew what I had to do. It helped all the different people and teams collaborate. I had never built a website before but it was very smooth. It made things so easy for me.

We normally communicated over emails and phone calls. Because of what I do, they would text me as well since I could be out on the ranch. They were very flexible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re a mom and pop, old-fashioned business and so are they. They spent a lot of time learning about us and our passion and our philosophy on working with people. They’re always checking in to ensure that they’re carrying the torch for our vision.

Because I work with a small group we’ve been able to get on the same page. They’ve gone out of their way to get to know us as an organization to produce results we’ve really want. I don’t feel lost in a giant corporation. It’s like we’re working in the same office every day. I’m really glad we brought them on.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Strictly from a financial standpoint, I wish they were a bit more affordable but that’s always the case when working with an outside contractor. So far, they’ve delivered worthwhile products.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make your meeting with them. They show up and are organized so bring you’re A-game. Get the most out of those meetings. You have to be able to carry your end of the relationship as well. Getting a project manager is a great idea.

We identified the keyword targets we wanted to hit, and they helped us decide on the best ways to succeed in doing that. They’ve developed some websites and webpages for us, wrote most of our copy, and they manage our social presence on Facebook.

We’re very confident that their efforts have helped us a lot in the SEO and PPC arenas. They’re also helping us maintain our social media presence.

Overall, they’ve done pretty well, though we sometimes have trouble communicating with their web development team. But in the last year, I haven’t had any complaints. We usually have one in-person meeting each month, and we’ll text, call, and email as needed.

All members of their team have put forth good plans in their area of focus and executed on them. We’ve seen excellent results because of their planning.

I believe their web development team is understaffed.

Be willing to partner with them. I wouldn’t hand over the project and tell them to take care of everything. It’s beneficial to stay engaged and make sure your goals are aligned.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Oozle Media's efforts have had a tremendously positive impact on our lead flow. I don't have exact numbers, but our overall online performance has significantly improved across the board. Their PPC strategy has been very effective, and they've done a solid job in a variety of other areas. 

During the transition from our old site to the launch of the new site, we didn't experience much of a dip in performance at all. Since launching, we've experienced around a 50% increase in site visitors.

They've been great to work with. Our project manager is very responsive and proactive about coordinating strategy and communications. We mostly communicate through email, but they also hold monthly progress calls with our team since we're located in different states.

They take a holistic, robust approach to marketing strategies that helps us significantly improve lead flow. Their ability to handle so many moving pieces and support all of our needs has been invaluable.

Nothing big stands out for them to improve. I was a little frustrated with their design approach initially, but they've been very open to my feedback and already made improvements.

Oozle Media's on top of things. They provide monthly reports to let me know what’s going on, which we can review in person if I want. Any problems we’ve experienced have been my fault.

Oozle has significantly helped improve our online performance over the years. To ensure our website consistently ranking high on Google, they track our analytics and provide feedback to ensure ongoing success. 

How did Oozle Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Patrik is very responsive through phone or email and works quickly to turn around deliverables. He also provides a detailed monthly report of our metrics, so we know where we need to make adjustments.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their reporting system is very detailed, showing us exactly what we need to know each month to figure out what areas we should be investing more time in. They're also very customer service oriented. Having a dedicated project manager takes the stress out of the relationship and makes the whole process seamless.

Honestly, no.

Meet with them at least once a month to walk through performance and areas of improvement. Trust in their expertise when it comes to the digital space and be open to trying new things because they have a lot of good ideas to bring to the table that has helped take our business to the next level.
