What challenge were you trying to address with Oozle Media?
Our goal was to increase our sales and reach a larger market.

Oozle Media has given us lists of questions to determine what target market to aim at and how to get that target market. They’ve designed and built our new website from scratch.
They created an Instagram page for us, and they manage our Instagram and Facebook accounts, reaching out to food influencers. We’ve provided Oozle Media with some photos, but they’ve also created content independently. They’ve also run ad campaigns for us on Facebook and Google.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director at a small cosmetology school and we have around 100 hundred students in Lafayette, Louisiana. We’re a 38-year old business.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oozle Media?
I first got involved with them to do some social media marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’d never done social media and we always relied on word-of-mouth recommendations from our thousands of graduates. We only did some traditional advertising. When we tried social media marketing, it was going well.
We were doing search ads on Google, and then three months into it, the pandemic hit. We still continued to do it for a few months, but then it came to the point where I couldn’t even take any student. As a result, it made no sense to continue because there was really no way to know if it was being effective anymore. The team also briefly provided SEO services.
In the process, I learned that my current website was out of date and it was not going to be supported anymore. As a result, I decided to hire them to migrate what we had on our previous platform onto a new website. They moved everything to WordPress using their methodologies and mobile app optimization. Within a few months, the team already completed our platform. Oozle Media continues to host our website.

We’re working with a couple of people from Oozle Media, including Zach (Web Development Project Manager), their salespeople, and their owner.

The website was roughly $5,000. We probably spent $2,000 a month in social media advertising and $3,000–$4,000 for SEO.

We probably started working with them in May 2019, and the partnership is ongoing.

The social media efforts they did prior to the pandemic had doubled our leads. Then, it tripled once our new website was released. Our new website has been doing well compared to our previous platform.

Zach, our project manager, has been excellent. In fact, he’s waiting on us more than we’re ever waiting for him.
We typically have Zoom calls or use other tools that they’ve been using. They give me updates and let me know what the next steps are.

Their expertise in cosmetology schools is impressive. We have a unique segment in the education market, so I admire their commitment to helping the whole market grow. They offer a lot of their services for free to our community. Moreover, they also conduct a lot of webinars and perform educational services.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m not sure if the training on how to make minor modifications on the website is going to be adequate. We did a two-hour session and it was recorded. However, it’s a lot for one session to learn how to use the software. Despite that, they’re better than my last provider.
The sufficiency of the session remains to be seen and we haven’t had a need to go back yet. However, I’m sure the team is going to support me in other ways.

Ask a lot of questions because the team is very good at answering them. They also follow up on things they can’t answer. If you’re new to this, there’s a lot to learn such as new languages and terms.

This project was done in a stressful time of Covid-19. So all communication was done digitally and remotely. People had to adapt their day to day life ad-hoc.

I’m an admissions officer for Turnabout Ranch, a residential treatment facility for troubled teens on a working cattle ranch.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oozle Media?
We were trying to recreate a very outdated website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They absolutely reworked our website and are now working to increase our organic presence. There’s a continuing relationship. The site is brand new and it’s gorgeous. Our old site wasn’t mobile responsive so they included that capability. They created the site on WordPress and provided training for myself. I run some of the digital marketing and website updates and this training was part of their package.
What is the team composition?
I worked with at least eight people including, project managers and a support team that did the actual coding. I usually had a team lead as my main contact. Recently, we had a malware issue on the site and multiple people were responding to the issue within half an hour.
How did you come to work with Oozle Media?
I was told to start researching companies and they were local to Utah where we are. I called in about a dozen companies to interview and Oozle clicked with us. We’re also a fully accredited academic program and Oozle had experience working with schools. Additionally, they were very enthusiastic. They had great pricing and responsiveness as well.

The site was up and running within our goal timeframe. Extremely easy to work with, they listened to our vision. We have a philosophy and a brand about how we work with kids and Oozle Media stayed true to those values. They also kept us on a timeline while sticking to it themselves. We’re very happy and are looking to expand further into more marketing with them.
In terms of metrics, traffic on our site has doubled since the launch. We’ve also seen increased submitted web forms asking for more information. The site was a dinosaur when I first started but they cleaned it up very nicely. Their SEO and organic marketing stuff have been great drawing business in as well.
How did Oozle Media perform from a project management standpoint?
When it came down to building the site, we had a large shared file that assigned tasks to each side and provided information on progress. The tool was automated and user friendly so I always knew what I had to do. It helped all the different people and teams collaborate. I had never built a website before but it was very smooth. It made things so easy for me.
We normally communicated over emails and phone calls. Because of what I do, they would text me as well since I could be out on the ranch. They were very flexible.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re a mom and pop, old-fashioned business and so are they. They spent a lot of time learning about us and our passion and our philosophy on working with people. They’re always checking in to ensure that they’re carrying the torch for our vision.
Because I work with a small group we’ve been able to get on the same page. They’ve gone out of their way to get to know us as an organization to produce results we’ve really want. I don’t feel lost in a giant corporation. It’s like we’re working in the same office every day. I’m really glad we brought them on.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Strictly from a financial standpoint, I wish they were a bit more affordable but that’s always the case when working with an outside contractor. So far, they’ve delivered worthwhile products.

Make your meeting with them. They show up and are organized so bring you’re A-game. Get the most out of those meetings. You have to be able to carry your end of the relationship as well. Getting a project manager is a great idea.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the operations manager at Shamrock Plumbing. We do all things plumbing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Oozle Media?
We’d been working with a marketing provider, but the results weren’t there. We didn’t have an online presence and wanted to increase our search results.
What was the scope of their involvement?
At first, Oozle Media exclusively directed our SEO and PPC campaigns but the team’s responsibilities have evolved. They've developed different strategies to encourage client reviews and hired new employees, while also supporting web design efforts to improve our search results. Now, the team creates and publishes content for our social media channels.

We've just been assigned a new account manager, which has happened several times over the years and they’ve all been awesome.

Patrik is very responsive through phone or email and works quickly to turn around deliverables. He also provides a detailed monthly report of our metrics, so we know where we need to make adjustments.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their reporting system is very detailed, showing us exactly what we need to know each month to figure out what areas we should be investing more time in. They're also very customer service oriented. Having a dedicated project manager takes the stress out of the relationship and makes the whole process seamless.

Honestly, no.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Meet with them at least once a month to walk through performance and areas of improvement. Trust in their expertise when it comes to the digital space and be open to trying new things because they have a lot of good ideas to bring to the table that has helped take our business to the next level.
