Conversion Optimization for Home&Deco Ecommerce
The Client Legendary Wall Art is a company selling custom canvases for home decoration. What started as a personal need for legendary wall art has now turned into a marketplace where anyone can find their passion and display it loud and clear for everyone to see. The Problem User testing we conducted during our qualitative research has revealed that some website visitors were questioning the quality of the products. The reviews section was at the bottom of product pages. Not many users reached this section and actually read the reviews. The Solution By adding the star rating system and the number of ratings under the title of each individual product, we can earn the trust of users who will have a better understanding of the quality of the products. The results +7.20% Conversion Rate +5.52% Add-to-Cart Rate +4.86% Total Revenue +4.37% Revenue per User Conclusion The variation won, as users could immediately see the ratings and be reassured of the fact that others have bought the products and can confirm their quality. Increasing conversion rate for ecommerce brand
The Client Conscious Items is an online store selling a great collection of spiritual items for home and meaningful jewelry designed to keep the mind and body enlightened. The Problem As more and more people buy on mobile devices and the desire to compare products for the best “deal” becomes second nature, having to return repeatedly to the cart page introduces friction in the purchase funnel. We’ve identified this as a major roadblock to increasing revenue per user, the average number of products per visitor and the overall ecommerce conversion rate. The Solution Implementing a responsive, interactive cart will ease the user experience and simplify the entire sales funnel for website visitors. They will be able to quickly access their cart and compare products without having to load another page. By simplifying the purchase funnel, we expect to increase the ecommerce conversion rate by 10%. The results +10.0% Ecommerce Conversion Rate +12.0% Revenue per User +14.45% Average Products per User +2.18% Average Order Value Conclusion Our hypothesis has proven to be correct as the conversion rate has increased by 10.00% and the revenue per user by 12.00%. The fact that users could access the cart anywhere on the website also influenced the average products per visitors, which recorded a 14.45% uplift. The new cart A/B test generated good results, which is why we’ve implemented it as the new control.

Increased conversion rate by 14% with one test
Founded in Los Angeles, California, our client is an artist-owned and operated brand offering a fun selection of gifts and apparel for men, women, and kids. Their products are designed and hand-printed in their Los Angeles area headquarters using eco-friendly water-based inks.
The Problem
After completing our quantitative analysis, we found that website visitors who use the search function generally convert at a much higher rate than the ones who do not.
However, the search bar was only visible in the hidden menu on mobile devices.
The results
+38.78% Site Search
+14.11% Conversion Rate
+13.11% Total Revenue
+9.06% Revenue per Session
Conclusion
By highlighting a search bar on collections pages we managed to increase the usage of the search function, and subsequently the overall conversion rate. The bar was added at a point in the sales funnel when users are trying to find the products they need, helping them with their search.

Delivered +30% More Revenue by Matching Upsells
Our client created a convenient way for people to optimize their hydration through the power of alkaline antioxidant water. The water bottle was born when the founder noticed a missing link in the premium water market, creating a solution for cost-effective alkaline water on the go.
The Problem
After completing our heuristic research, we noticed that it takes a while to search for a matching color in the upsell sections on the product pages and the cart.
Furthermore, sessions recordings and clickmaps have shown that users interact a lot with the colors selectors of upsells, most likely searching for matching colors for the products they selected.
The Solution
By matching the colors between the selected product and the upsells we can inspire users to buy additional accessories for the water bottle.
We wanted to ease the user journey, as well as inspire users to purchase additional bottom guards and caps for the bottles they intended to purchase.
The results
+33.02% Conversion Rate
+29.72% Revenue per Session
+28.32% Total Revenue
+31.27% Purchases for bottom guards
+28.27% Purchases for sports caps
Conclusion
Showing users upsells in the same colors as the product they have selected or added to the cart has inspired them to buy additional accessories for the water bottle.

Obtained 20% More Revenue with an A/B test
The Client
47 Skin is the first skin care brand based on skin positivity. Their products are the only ones in the world to contain the unique formula of ‘Silver Chitoderm’. With over 3000 5-star reviews, it’s working for so many of their customers.
The Problem
Reviews provided without overall context can lead users to incorrect conclusions about the product’s actual ratings distribution.
The Solution
By adding a ratings distribution chart at the top of the “Reviews” section, users can find out the real benefits of the product based on the reviews.
The results
+16.80% Add-to-Cart Rate
+7.02% Conversion Rate
+19.64% Total Revenue
+17.73% Revenue per Session
Conclusion
Website visitors were inspired to see the proven results. Seeing real benefits of the products based on the reviews has led to an increase in the add-to-cart rate and the overall conversion rate.

Increased CR by 14% by highlighting search options
The Problem
After completing our quantitative analysis, we found that website visitors who use the search function generally convert at a much higher rate than the ones who do not.
However, the search bar was only visible in the hidden menu on mobile devices.
The Solution
By highlighting the search bar on collections pages we can aid potential customers in finding the products they need and increase the overall conversion rate.

Copycat Fragrances was born from one simple idea – why couldn’t perfumes and aftershaves be cheaper? Some of the world’s best-loved scents were so expensive; why exactly were we all being charged so much?
This quickly turned into a very successful business, with tens of thousands of happy clients.
We wanted to showcase the expanded range of products and to offer a familiar browsing experience to users. That’s why we decided to test a “thumbnail navigation”, similar to the story format you see on Instagram or Facebook.
This brought an increase of 18% in revenue per user and a 4% increase in engagement with the collections.
How we did it
- Segmenting user behavior based on the devices used
- Analyzing heat maps and session recordings to understand the user interactions
- Running user tests to get unbiased views on the flow of the entire website and funnel
- Running the Experiment through Convert.com
- Results Analysis, Generating Insights & Learnings for Future Experiments

Happy Tea is a health and wellness supplement company. Their products are aimed to helping people suffering from anxiety or leading a stressful life overcome these issues and take back control over their own lives.
The company offers a wide range of CBD products, from teas to creams, oils, and gummies, thus promoting whole body health. With almost two years of activity in the digital space, Happy Tea is constantly growing and the business is quickly expanding.
One of the most successful experiments we’ve conducted for them was a product page redesign. The A/B test generated amazing results, which is why we went ahead and implemented the new layout on the website.

- Analyzing heatmaps and scroll maps to understand the user interaction on the website
- Running moderated user testing to understand the obstacles on the product pages

Conversion Rate Optimization for Interior Design Company
“We doubled our revenue when we worked with ONTRACK DIGITAL.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the operations director for Lucie Kaas, an interior design company. We sell primarily small home accessories through retailers.
What challenge were you trying to address with ONTRACK DIGITAL?
When we started two years ago, e-commerce was only about 5% of or business. We wanted it to be a new part of our business, but we didn’t have the resources in terms of time, knowledge, and skills. We needed an agency to build our e-commerce site and grow our conversion rate optimization.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ONTRACK DIGITAL provided conversion rate optimization services. We told them our challenges, and they audited our e-commerce site. They found many issues we had to approve, which took approximately three weeks. From there, ONTRACK DIGITAL tried a few experiments and let them run between 2–3 weeks with AB testing. We then implemented some of the things, and it took about 3–4 months to continue developing the site.
Initially, we provided them access to all of our data, including historical data about our customer service, emails, and more. They used Hotjar and Google Analytics to track the site and Google Optimize to do APIs. Additionally, ONTRACK DIGITIAL helped us implement some of the features.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three teammates: Andra (Founder), an e-commerce specialist, and a developer. Andra was our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with ONTRACK DIGITAL?
I found them through an event where they were a partner. Since we receive money from the Danish government, there was a database of agencies we could work with. ONTRACK DIGITAL specialized in conversion rate optimization and went to the point, while other agencies wanted to do other stuff and put a lot of time into the initial phase.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested about €16,000 (approximately $17,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from August–December 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our conversion rate grew by about 20% in that period. Moreover, the number of total orders improved by 114%, so we doubled our revenue when we worked with ONTRACK DIGITAL.
How did ONTRACK DIGITAL perform from a project management standpoint?
We primarily communicated through Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When we asked for something, they were great at implementing it quickly. The communication when we wrote to them was excellent. The team would get back to us quickly, which was helpful.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the beginning, the communication was clear, and we understood what had to be done. However, when they started running the AB tests, we didn’t get a response. We had to reach out to them and ask how everything was going rather than having ONTRACK DIGITAL set a weekly meeting or being proactive.
Additionally, they should’ve had clearer KPIs. Even though the conversion rate improved, we weren’t sure which things did it because they weren’t tracking the differences. We couldn’t point out what helped us, so we didn’t know how much credit went to them. In summary, they lacked transparency, and we couldn’t continue our engagement because we had no data other than the general improvements.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear on what you want and avoid having a broad scope. Use ONTRACK DIGITAL for specific tasks; they’re excellent with things planned out.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of sales and marketing at Univera, a B2C company.
What challenge were you trying to address with ONTRACK DIGITAL?
We were having conversion optimization and tracking issues with our website, and we needed a company that could help us resolve those issues.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ONTRACK DIGITAL started the engagement by conducting an initial deep audit. They then worked with us to deliver best practices that were to increase the overall speed and efficiency of our website. After that, they implemented improvements and changes on the site and ran a series of A/B tests. They also installed proper conversion tracking attribution so we can correctly attribute all of our sales and have a clear view of our sales funnel.
Aside from that, ONTRACK DIGITAL built a Shopify microsite for us so we could A/B test basic conversions and messaging and get into a rapid conversion optimization iteration.
What is the team composition?
I primarily work with Andra (Founder) from ONTRACK DIGITAL.
How did you come to work with ONTRACK DIGITAL?
I’ve actually worked with Andra through different companies — I hire her anywhere I go.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent around $27,000 so far, but it’s probably going to be around $60,000–$80,000 over time.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our conversion rates have improved by over 300%.
How did ONTRACK DIGITAL perform from a project management standpoint?
ONTRACK DIGITAL has performed well in terms of project management. They deliver on time and utilize Trello to manage the project. We primarily communicate through Zoom and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with ONTRACK DIGITAL’s competency. They deliver exactly what they say they’re going to deliver. I know I can always rely on them, which is why I continue to hire them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. They take constructive criticism really well, and I’ve never had the same issue twice.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to be upfront with what your goals and targets are.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the e-commerce manager of byBiehl, a sustainable jewelry company based in Denmark.
For what projects/services did your company hire ONTRACK DIGITAL, and what were your goals?
We initially began working with ONTRACK on a conversion rate optimisation project. We wanted to provide our webshop visitors with a better overall experience, resulting in an increase in our overall conversion rate. We continued to work with them on additional projects, with a focus on modernising the the appearance and functionality of our site.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We received a recommendation from an acquaintance with a thriving webshop and were impressed with ONTRACK's portfolio and resume.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
There were initial presentations of ONTRACK's evaluation of our webshop, then we discussed our larger goals and objectives. We would decide on a few points to prioritise and focus on during the coming week and continued to have weekly catch-up meetings to touch base. During these meetings, ONTRACK would provide wireframes of proposed features and also data on A/B tests that were set up previously. They used software to prove whether features would be beneficial or not. Their expertise with Shopify was a great advantage to us.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 3-4 members at any given time, ranging from those with more expertise in data, analytics tracking and web development. I'm not sure of exact positions but each was able to provide specific insight depending on the project at hand.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our conversion rate has increased 30% overall in the year following our initial project and we've received nothing but postive feedback on the thumbnail header that was added to our mobile-design.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
There was always easy communication, outside of the weekly meetings. We use Slack to communicate as needed and Trello to present and organise tasks. There is always quick turnaround between our questions and their feedback.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I appreciated their expertise in Shopify and vast knowledge and competence of the world of e-commerce. They introduced us to many new concepts and provided a lot of great examples of what other successful stores are doing. Their management style was also great and easy to adapt to; they were very considerate and flexible when needed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing comes to mind.
