I'm the founder of a software development company. Most of our clients are startups and enterprises, and we work in various verticals, industries, and methodologies for both web and mobile development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Omnes Group?

Since our clients vary so widely, we sometimes recruit additional talent to help with projects. We turn to Omnes Group when we need those resources.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We needed a mobile developer who could work on React Native projects. We had trouble finding the right candidate who was willing and able to work in both React and other native technologies. Omnes Group found us an excellent candidate, and we've just completed the onboarding process with him.

What is the team composition?

We work with an account manager to gather requirements and search for clients. They process candidate documents and send us the CVs they think are appropriate.

How did you come to work with Omnes Group?

They came to us through a recommendation from another agency. Their approach was fair, and their fees were entirely results-based. In our first meeting, they were energetic, positive, and supportive, and they seemed like a good fit for us.

How much have you invested with them?

They charged a very small fee upfront, and the cost is roughly 12.5% of the hired candidate's salary. We'd estimate an annual cost of about $6,000 for this candidate.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2019. They started sending us candidates within a couple of weeks, and the whole recruiting process for this first candidate took about a month. The process for other candidates is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It's too early to cite the impacts of their work, but time will tell how well this candidate performs.

How did Omnes Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicated well, and they met deadlines. They used Trello to post new candidates, and we either rolled those back or moved forward with the interview process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're not a corporation, and they curated a specific list of two or three candidates for our consideration. As a startup, they are willing to hustle. They're friendly and easy to connect with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if they took more time to test candidates on their tech abilities, but I realize that might complicate the process.

Be clear with requirements, and make sure you test your candidates for their technical knowledge and their cultural fit with your company.

Our company is managing post-purchase delivery experience for major brands in the US through our internally-built delivery experience management platform. On an engineering level, I'm filling in the role of an Automation Lead. On business level, I'm filling in roles of country and team manager.

We needed an assistance in recruitment since we didn't have internal HR/Recruiters. Omnes was helping us in hiring Software Engineers.

What were your goals for this engagement?

Our goal was simple: to expand our base of candidates for Software Engineering roles. We also wanted to receive adequate candidates for our company and available positions. It was key that we didn't spend too much time in the interviewing process, especially on candidates that are not a fit for our company

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

This vendor has been referred to us from multiple friendly companies that had a great experience with them.

Describe the engagement in detail.

Initially, we had to make sure Omnes understood what our core business is, what is the team composition and work model, which teams we have in our company and their specific roles. And, on top of it, the technology stack had to be described in details. We also provided clear job requirements and candidate knowledge boundaries. Based on our request and information Omnes collected, they were providing candidates for our review. All candidates were being interviewed by Omnes recruiters, where they were making sure that candidates are matching our needs. Only those candidates that were fit for us and vice versa have been sent for initial reviews with our company. Once we complete the interview process, we were sharing our notes and comments with Omnes recruiters. If we decide to move on with a candidate, we simply do it.

What was the team composition?

In terms of communication with Omnes recruiters and candidates, I was being strongly assisted by our internal office manager. She was scheduling all the interviews with candidates while I was doing the initial screenings and communication with Omnes.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcome is simple: we've completely abandoned job posts and advertisements via popular job portals (locally) and moved completely on sourcing engineers either through recommendations or through hiring companies like Omnes.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow is very straight and transparent. Omnes has their internal way of assessing candidates and companies. In case some candidate is not a fit for the company, Omnes will collect all the information needed to act accordingly. Same is valid for the company, which can help their candidates in choosing proper companies and working environments.

What did you find most impressive about this vendor?

Agility. They were solving problems fast. They also have a perfect payment model.

None to this day.

We send our requirements to Omnes Group in an email or a document. We specify what a candidate will be working on, what salary we offer, and other details. Then, Omnes Group converts our document into smart requirements that they use to filter the candidates from various websites. After they find a person who is suitable for the position, we also conduct an interview in-house to make sure the person fits into the team.

What is the team composition? 

I mostly work with three members of their team.

How did you come to work with Omnes Group?

They were a recommendation from a colleague who had worked with them previously. 

What is the status of this engagement? 

We started working with them in November 2015 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Almost 90% of the candidates that Omnes Group selects are exactly what we're looking for. Whenever we need to fill a position on a short notice, they're able to find a suitable candidate very quickly. That is very important for a mid-sized company like ours because we can't plan too much ahead. 

How did Omnes Group perform from a project management standpoint? 

I explain to them in simple words what I am looking for, and they do their best to make the process easy for us. We mostly use Trello and email to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciate the speed and simplicity of their process. They handle everything, so we don’t have to worry at all about selecting candidates or bringing them in for an interview.

I can't think of anything.
