About the brand
Rainbow Chalk started with a mission to create the most effective DIY water & chalk products, and they did. Their first product was the Liquid Chalk Marker which quickly became a market leader due to the brilliant formula and ease of use. Their knowledge and passion allowed them to expand their product portfolio and crush the competition by avoiding the extra costs from fancy packaging.
The Problem
They came to Olifant Digital with an established Amazon business in the US, but they were struggling to scale it in the UK. They have tried multiple external partners and agencies, but nothing proved to work as their revenue stayed the same. Our goal was to come up with a solution that would make their listings stand out, rank organically, and push them further ahead with PPC.
The Solution
With our custom-build system in place, we began optimizing their listings and even though they were well-written and informative, they were missing some of the highest-searched keywords and phrases. We used that as the backbone of our scale process, and with the right PPC campaigns and keyword management, we were able to turn their Amazon business into a profitable money-printing machine. For what projects/services did your company hire Olifant Digital, and what were your goals?
We were looking for expertise in growing our business through digital marketing strategies both on and off of Amazon using ROI as the primary metric for success.

We selected to work with Olifant because of their data-driven approach to marketing and an honest and transparent outlook about what works and what doesn't based on their experience. I was impressed by their expert knowledge and ability to provide both high-level strategic guidance and a tactical hands-on approach.

From the beginning we worked primarily with Alex as our main point of contact which was a refreshing approach compared to the typical agency model followed by most digital marketing companies. The primary focus in working with them was to grow our business profitability using Amazon and digital marketing strategies.

Alex and his team have really gone above and beyond our expectations. They helped navigate some very challenging scenarios including getting our Facebook account reinstated, a full-funnel approach to marketing, and a results-oriented mindset. They've been very flexible to work with us to create a model that is mutually beneficial so that we are aligned in the success and growth of the business.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow has been pretty seamless. We use a few dedicated Slack channels to keep conversations organized and Alex and the team have made themselves available for weekly check-ins. The best part is that they take the initiative to get things done as things arise. Instead of sitting back telling us what to do, they actually do it.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I'm impressed with their knowledge and expertise and their straightforward no-nonsense approach to marketing. They have a good sense of what works and have offered up some excellent strategic advice that isn't typically offered by other agencies.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The one area they could improve upon would be on the reporting side of the business. They are using multiple KPIs in their decision making and have created some advanced reports but it would be good to drill down into these things a bit more so that we can better track and monitor success in real time. Additionally, locking down a specific time on the calendar each week to check in would be helpful.

We were looking for a company that could help us advance further with our Amazon marketplace account. I had initially set up the account myself with very little experience and after researching i found my adds were not performing to there full potential and costing me unnecessary money.
