I’m the former director of web and interactive communication at Roger Williams University.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with OHO Interactive?

We hired OHO Interactive to redesign our website. Our CMS was outdated, and we wanted a new platform that encased our several microsites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

OHO Interactive originally designed and developed our website using Drupal 6. When it came time for the redesign, they moved us to a Drupal 8 platform. Their team also integrated all of our existing sites and connected all the systems.

We began focusing on a specific department within the school and had OHO Interactive perform market research for us. They presented marketing and branding materials to help us launch a customized site for the department. They managed the campaigns at the beginning, and provide ongoing support. We still use their team to identify and solve technical issues.

What is the team composition?

They provide a project manager for any questions we have. I can always reach out to Jason (Managing Director & Founder, OHO Interactive).

How did you come to work with OHO Interactive?

We weren’t entirely satisfied with the redesign a previous vendor did for us, so we sent out an RFP. OHO Interactive responded, brought a presentation to us, and we selected them for the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2009, and the project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We successfully launched our platform. The coding is high quality, and the site is easy to use. The OHO Interactive team delivered the work under budget, so we were able to utilize the leftover money to add new functionalities.

How did OHO Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

They are dedicated to the work and keep the pace of the project going. Though there were leadership changes and new onboarding efforts, they were organized. Depending on the stage of the project, we have a different contact on the OHO Interactive team. They provided weekly updates during the redesign and eventually, we moved to have a set call per month. Basecamp was used to communicate with developers about any technical updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re able to provide quality insights and guide us toward success. They did a great job with the needs assessment and produced strong results. Additionally, they’re thoughtful and conscious in their approach. I feel very comfortable with their team, and we have a great partnership. They work with us through any issues and produce a good final product. Even if something is outside of the normal scope, they’re willing to support us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their team is smaller in size, so they may not have the resources to do larger projects as quickly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You can’t go wrong working with OHO Interactive. If you need a solid, long-term partner, they should be on your list.
