Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of marketing for Nextbase. We manufacture small dash cams that go in vehicles to record your drive. We cover Europe, US, and Australia.

What challenge were you trying to address with Offplan3d?

We needed some marketing videos done for new products going to market.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They have made several videos, and spinning animations, over the years for several products.

Generally, when a new product is going to market, there are a few key features we want to point out. They create product videos, adding in those new features, and showing off the product’s ability. The videos have primarily been used on our website.

They also brainstorm with us on how to best show certain features. For example, certain models have business-specific features to show. They highlight those in video or spinning animation forms.

Dom (Creative Director) is my main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Offplan3d?

I’ve known Dom, and worked with him, for several years. He is great at conceptualizing features and coming up with ideas to market them.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we spent $50,000 - $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around February 2007, and it is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve never sold any of our products without videos, and they haven’t done 100% of them, so it’s difficult to quantify the sales. However, I believe our sales could easily be cut in half without the videos.

How did Offplan3d perform from a project management standpoint?

I appreciate their hands-on management style. We generally discuss, in detail, how we want videos to be done with a lot of back and forth. They are quick to understand features and how they relate to the customer, and they can produce ideas with a video within a few days to simply demonstrate them to the customers. They always deliver on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re proactive, looking at our products and suggesting new ways to do the marketing. They stay on the forefront of technology and are willing to try new techniques to get the best results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re a great company to work with.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Call them and brief them on your project. Let the team show you conceptually where they’ll take it. They’re great at capturing it the first time around.
