there's always room for growth. I would suggest trying to step on some risky territories in branding and marketing, some companies and brands are too conservative and need a push from an agency. Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager and CEO of VO Organic, a trading company for organic products produced by our parent company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Nos?
Our parent company has worked in organic farming for over 50 years; that brand is old and well-known in the farm industry. However, we needed a younger brand that was colorful and bright for the end client to use on the products that would be on the supermarket shelves. We came to Nos and asked them to fine-tune our old brand and connect it to the new brand.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Nos provides us with branding and web development services. First, we spent two weeks at our parent company, showing them the production process on the field and answering their questions about the company, including our mission statement. They spoke to technical staff and other employees. We also gave them the points we wanted to see in our new brand.
From there, they took two weeks to do research and collect information about the market. They came to us with answers and the first draft of the brand. We solidified our vision statement for the new brand with them and gave them feedback on the first draft. Then, we had another pause for two weeks where they did some fine-tuning to present the second draft of the brand, which we accepted.
Nos delivered a full brand book, which included our logo, color scheme, packaging design, and guidelines on how to use the brand. They included the brand’s tone of voice, social media guidelines, Telegram stickers, and merchandise designs like t-shirts and pins. The team also advised us on the brand's positioning in the market.
Additionally, Nos built our website using WordPress. Currently, they’re working on branding for our new product line.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four teammates from Nos: two strategic managers, the head of design, and a media planning specialist.
How did you come to work with Nos?
A good friend who had used Nos and was satisfied with the results recommended them to us. We interviewed three agencies, and we chose Nos because we connected with their team on a mental level — they shared our vision.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We started selling with our new brand in February 2021, and our results with retailers have been very good; we’ve had continuous growth in sales. Retailers want to see our products on their shelves because they’re very different from others, which we like.
How did Nos perform from a project management standpoint?
If we don’t get something to the retailers by the deadlines, that isn’t good for us. Nos understands that, and we always get what we need from them before the deadline. We communicate via Messenger, Zoom, phone calls, and emails. Additionally, we have a shared drive disk with all our project information.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with how Nos understands us with no additional explanation. If there’s ever something they don’t understand at first, they ask questions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they fully cover all our requests and deliver all the necessary answers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Good communication is key, so ask questions and tell Nos about yourself and your company. You should also be open and open-minded; the more you tell them, the better. The answers to branding are usually inside us as clients; the Nos team has asked deep questions and helped us learn about our company.
