BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

My family founded and runs a luxury jewelry brand. We manufacture and distribute to retail stores across the country. I oversee the day to day operations of the business and manage our various internal systems, from web to software design.

For what projects/services did your company hire Northwoods Revolution?

Northwoods Revolutions produced fantastic videos for us, celebrating our business' 50th anniversary.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to produce video content that told the story of our brand in a way that few people had experienced. We also wanted to pay homage to the legacy created by our parents, the founders of the business and celebrate all they have accomplished across the last 5 decades.

How did you select this vendor?

We sought out various video developers online as well as through our publicist. When comparing the style and quality of the content on offer, the choice was clear. Northwoods offered the best quality content, that told a story, looked stunning and truly celebrated each brand they represented, all for a very reasonable price.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

We scheduled a series of phone calls first to determine whether we were a right fit. Once established, Northwoods team worked closely with us to discover the story, and the way in which we wanted to tell it. They listened closely and were immediately inspired by what we shared with them. They made the process very easy, allowing us to just be ourselves and conduct business as usual, joining us and documenting the workflow of our operation.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

Northwoods took plenty of footage, and very quickly had drafts for us to review. The various discussions we had, seemed to have painted a very clear vision for their team to work with. The process of reviewing video drafts and giving feedback was simple, easy and fast.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The videos created by Northwoods have since been featured at trade shows, and all over our website and social media. We have gotten nothing but positive feedback from people (some of them long-time customers) who felt they were learning a whole new side to our brand.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow could not have been more simple. We filmed for two days, and the rest was handled via email. We were never bothered by extraneous or mundane details. We felt confident after our discussions and having seen some very rudimentary footage, to allow their team to stretch their wings and show us what they could do. We were not disappointed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Northwoods is a small team, yet they accomplished so much and in such a timely fashion. We had very specific circumstances that they needed to accommodate, which they did without trouble. What's more, the process was stress free for us, which was a surprise considering we essentially filmed a mini-documentary featuring the inner workings of our lives and business.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Honestly, there is nothing else we could have asked for. The Northwoods team went above and beyond for us, and we will be very happily working with them again in 2020.
