I’m an executive of two companies, one of which is an app development company in the entertainment industry. We have a variety of different websites and utility sites, receiving 40–50 million users per month. We also have a personality-based game on Facebook with about 13 million players on a monthly basis.

We wanted to explore different channels for acquiring users. We specifically wanted to advertise on Facebook in multiple languages and locations.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Norsu Media helps us drive an initiative for user acquisition through Facebook. Our goal is to run appealing ads on Facebook so that people feel eager to click on them and complete one of our quizzes. Although we have our own designers and copywriters, Tom (Founder) actively helps us define our messaging and evaluate the graphics and images we create for the ads to ensure they’re appealing. He also helps us review our ads’ performance and tells us when to make changes to ensure that our ROI is always positive; he always provides us with his input on different areas of Facebook advertising.

We only work with Tom.

How did you come to work with Norsu Media Group?

A colleague and I looked into our own network of potential companies or individuals who could help us with this initiative. During this process, we also looked for potential partners on Upwork and found several candidates, including Norsu Media. We interviewed all of them and explained what we wanted to do to determine if they had the necessary experience and ability.

When we had our first interview with Tom, we simply clicked. By then, we had already spoken to seven other candidates, and my colleague and I had split opinions on who we favored more. However, when we talked with Tom, we both agreed that he had a professional and positive attitude; he had the experience we were looking for. During our initial conversations, he raised interesting questions about our approach and objectives, so we felt he would be the right person to hire.

We’ve spent around €10,000 (approximately $10,500 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in April 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. Initially, we agreed on a 1–3-month trial period to see how our collaboration went. From there, Norsu Media offered to scale their scope up and down as needed but to keep our efforts going. That’s exactly what we want to do; we plan to continue working with them for the next six months at least.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The main success indicator we initially expected was a positive ROI. Still, we were willing to break even and even see a negative ROI for the first two months if necessary. However, Norsu Media provided us with exceptional guidance from the start. Using their metrics-driven approach, they suggested starting our campaign slower and in only a few countries to get it right. This approach allowed us to get a positive ROI right from the get-go, which we didn’t expect.

In addition to ROI, we also track our ad costs very carefully, which allows us to know when to increase or decrease the ad spend. Tom has done an excellent job in that regard. On certain occasions, we’ve attempted to decrease or cut our ad spend for some campaigns, but he has advised us to wait 48 more hours. On those occasions, he has been right. Whenever we’ve followed his suggestions, we’ve always achieved successful results.

How did Norsu Media Group perform from a project management standpoint?

Norsu Media’s project management has been excellent — I only have really positive things to say. Tom has always been available for meetings, and he’s proactively involved in them. Whenever we’ve said we would work on something, he has gone above and beyond to either deliver the data to us or think about it and come back with a different angle to measure the success of the initiative. We communicate a lot over Slack, and we do video calls via Google Meet once a week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I worked with external companies or agencies in the past, and while they did a good job, they always felt external. Tom is a good relationship builder; working with him feels like working with a colleague. From the very beginning, he was really keen to understand who we were, what we did, what our product was, what our goals and expectations were, how we should communicate, and how we should measure our success. Overall, Norsu Media is very approachable, professional, and responsive, and they act as another member of our team.

No, I can’t think of anything Norsu Media could improve on. I can only advise them to keep doing what they’re doing.

Norsu Media is a fantastic company that has produced excellent results for us. Tom & Fabio graciously did what needed to be done even when I didn't give them directions, which was a true gift for me and my company. Really, I can't stress how much I recommend his business! Fabio has managed our TikTok ads, and he was able to cut the costs by a significantly big amount, while slowly growing the results (purchases) over time.

Tom is the most knowledgeable online marketer I've ever worked with, and I've worked with a lot. Super responsive, proactive, meets deadlines and is extremely committed and knowledgeable.
