High Volume eCommerce Developers
We got our start in the early days of Apple, building custom code for enterprises like Emco Corporation, Empack Straytech, and the City of Toronto.
Proud of our local community, we later decided to focus on helping established businesses in the GTA such as Newmarket’s Rangeviewsports, Scarborough’s Onelifemeals, Demenz and Toronto’s Lashgod.
Brick and Modem
There is a lack of cohesive software to help small brick and mortar stores to leverage eCommerce to scale up. The Shopify App Store and WooCommerce Plugin Store has become a minefield of software with many IT issues to fix. Skip the headache and use our systems which are suited for high volume and highly customized business models.

$2M to $4M revenue through eCommerce Development
In 2019, a local brick and mortar store wanted to expand their offering into eCommerce. They tried two websites and developer teams before finding us. As we did earlier with OneLifeMeals, we immediately treated them as a long term partners, not just a client.
By end of 2022, we had hit $3.9M /year and projected to go well over $4,000,000 going into 2023. SKU count tripled. Site speed doubled. A second store location designed. The company’s F150’s grew. All focused to be the top outdoors and firearms retailer in Canada.
Over the years, we performed the following front-end improvements:
- Doubled website loading speed by migrating to Kinsta (Google Cloud Hosting for WooCommerce) and deleting low-budget, slow code
- Overhauled the entire website, adding features based on real customer complaints
- Optimized the product search bar and a clear way to filter thousands of products
- Built “department” pages, like Walmart or Amazon, each department area had different ads and graphics
- Custom coding to improve customer communication regarding special products or conditions
- Totally unique mobile site that feels great on the thumb
- Optimized media across the website and email newsletters
- Tap phone numbers to easily call the store and so much more
In addition to hardware, we improved the core of WooCommerce:
- Provided local phone and on-site IT support for entire staff
- Developed solutions for point of sale terminals, stock taking, marketing, payments, chargeback fraud, shipping, supplier tracking and insurance
- Reorganized the WordPress Menu so important items are at the top
- De-cluttered the notoriously messy WooCommerce Admin UI
- Added better SEO capabilities for staff to quickly build up meta content
- Developed automation and scripts for various operational tasks
- Added over 20 unique, company secret, features to gain an edge over the competition
- Added security measures to prevent DDOS and phishing

$0 to $1.3M startup through eCommerce Development
Before Uber Eats and meal delivery became ubiquitous, we were one of the first to leverage eCommerce and logistics into a 7 figure bootstrapped business.
Managing 100’s of orders and printing the right delivery labels became a top eCommerce pain point.
By end of 2022, we’ve hit $1.3M /year and moved to a much larger kitchen and warehouse. Meal variety increased by two fold and a second kitchen/cafe is set to launch.
As customers demanded more, the logistics software improved with new features for special meals, notes, cash on delivery and SMS messaging. To this date, our software is remotely operated at an affordable price.
There are many ways we customized the eCommerce website:
- 20,000 lines of code offline, 1000+ lines online
- Total site overhaul and total photography overhauls.
- Site speed and SEO optimization.
- Move of hosting to Google Cloud Servers, forced SSL, CloudFlare CDN, and Amazon DNS
- Google Ads and Tag Manager integrations.
- Custom eCommerce features such as subscriptions, member-only forms, tips, checkout details, and more

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the manager and owner of Rangeview Sports in Newmarket
For what projects/services did your company hire Nordic99, and what were your goals?
our website was clunky and too slow with only 3000 skus. Our goal was to expand to 10,000 skus while make eCommerce success. We needed a working and faster website to let customers shop online easily
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They emailed me when they found out the issue with Shopify and our industry. They sent us a detailed plan. Initially we went with a cheaper vendor and that turned out to be a huge mistake. The deciding factor was when Peter informed me that he is doing this work full time. We asked Peter to fix everything with our eCommerce
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a few meetings and in person sessions to discuss what I wanted. Then a very detailed scope of works was laid out with milestones. Key deliverables included a new website, a new hosting, fixing speed issues, and improving the back end experience for staff
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Peter was the main developer and from what I understood he worked with another senior developer here in Toronto for most of the work.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our site became 2x faster, the design was much more profession, and soon our sales doubled throughout 2021! In addition we retained him for all IT help and other minor websites and fixes. It worked great and we are still working together
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Very responsive and detailed project management. Deadlines, estimates, and documentations included. I prefer in person and phone calls as communication and that's what was delivered.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The quality of work is very high. The team is highly professional and accurate when it comes to delivering their tasks.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I wish there were more juniors in the company who could help us on site with in-store tasks as we are hiring still.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the business manager for KerinaMango.com. We have over 2 million readers and ship world wide. We also have a connection to Kerina Wang's social media directly; enabling affiliate marketing income from her social media. My position is responsible for client negotiations and all business growing, including selling services and items from Kerinamango.com.
For what projects/services did your company hire Nordic99, and what were your goals?
Kerina's must asked questions are "where can I buy this?", and we had a very disjointed way of answering people and collecting affiliate income from the sales. Our main avenue was on 1 platform, but Kerina was on 3 different platforms. We needed our website to sync to all 3 platforms and let customers easily buy the products for more income. Lastly, we also had many IT issues needing to fix.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Peter originally designed the blog for Kerina and he was the natural choice to try to add eCommerce + social media linking to it. We also compared it with vendors on Upwork but did not go that path.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
- 2017-2018: delivering WooCommerce integration with teachings on how to upload, browse, and maintain the product line. Add digital products (Lightroom presets) for KerinaPresets.
- 2018-2020: make a proof of concept website for Kerina's viral youtube videos and other youtube videos. A 1-stop hub for Try-On-Haul Shoppers. Peter built this but we didn't not manage to get this project off the ground.
- 2021-ongoing: Build a sync of 3 social media platforms that funnel into 1 "linktree" style page for easy shopping. Add subtle google ads to the linktree page. UI improvements on the core website. DONE and ongoing maintenance and improvements retained.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
3 people from Nordic worked with us; Peter, a junior dev, and a senior dev.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After the recent update, we had people asking us how we managed to build our "funnel page". The page they built is now the #1 most visited page on our site! We saw an extra %20 increase in passive income via affiliate sales. Plus we also get income from Google Ads now!
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
He is based in Toronto so we have a very easy time communicating. For Toronto clients he's met up with us in person
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are honest and provide high-quality work. Hard to find local developers that don't break the bank.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
none, we are still working with them!
