very quickly progressed to creating our first online shop.

The task was to develop full logo & packaging design for uGlow Skincare brand and prepare images for online sales.

Vitajing Herbs is a US company which offers a great selection of beneficial formula and range of superfoods which work. They are always to provide high quality of the Chinese tonic herbs. All of their products are 100 % Natural-Hybrid, Non-GMO and are absolutely green towards the environment. Our cooperation began at the beginning of Vitajings development. Therefore, we played a great role in establishment of their success and

were with them from the start till the successful finish.

The task was to develop full packaging design for Vitajing Herbs company and adjust it for different extracts. Also we designed presentations for online sales in which was used photography and photo retouching.

Brown Dog Fancy brand was founded in Stamford, CT, US. The story says, that its founder created the first prototype of the product in his kitchen owing to his passion for cooking. That’s why Brown Dog Fancy Mustards are organic products.

The task was to develop label design for Brown Dog Fancy brand and adjust it to different flavors of mustard.

The idea was to implement rustic

style into the label which can also look contemporary. It's rustic and modern look conveys organic ingredients and appeals to young people.

Yogi Meister

The logo and labels for 3 product blends are designed in overall minimalist fashion. We have decided to follow the way "Less words, more space", making logo and lotions blend names the most important parts of the design, so its clean and not crowded with unimportant information look will be appealing to men's audience.

We took into account the client's wishes and incorporated into logo a courageous

viking, who is uniquely designed according to specific client's requirements. The brand name is put under an image of viking in expressive and bold font, which we also used further for labels design. As for the labels, we have created clean and minimalist designs, varying each blend in color that is associated with the main ingredients inside the packaging. Still, it is easily seen within design that all three lotions belong to the same product line. An Aprivocado blend is made dark green, Olive and Green is light green and Deep Sea Rose blend is painted into dark blue, which are appealing to men.

We have combined the logo and the name of product on the labels in such a way so they convey the concept of simplicity and comfortness, each design element including text at the backside is placed nicely for clear understanding and convenient reading. This evokes the customer to feel simplicity and comfortness while using Mr. Yogi Meister products.

Golden Nest Image

Golden Nest

For this project we had to design new logo and then packaging for Golden Nest company, which sells edible swallow's nests and derivative products with this ingredient. It is known, that swallow's nest is one of the most luxurious Chinese delicacies, also this product is quite expensive - more than $2 per 1 gram, so the client wanted the design to convey this delicateness, elegance and high end style. That is

why we decided to include a symbol of nest and bird reminiscent to swallow, but not in ordinary way - we have made letter “O” in company name as a nest. This helped us to make the design really unique and pay customer’s attention to brand name, saying that everything is interconnected. To highlight the premium quality of Golden Nest products, we decided to paint logo into golden color. After this part we started packaging design for new Golden Nest product - swiftlet nest collagen mask for dermal therapy, which is providing the skin with nourishing and moisturizing nutrients. The overall design complements logo elegance. At the front side we depicted abstract symbol which is actually made of nest patterns, while at the back of the package we have included text sections and "How to use" illustrations. Pure is Canadian brand known for its certified organic products based on Kombucha. The owners wanted to create products safe to give their children and decided to return to the origins of creating drinks: use well known natural ingredients, which were used by people tens of generations ago. One of my friend who worked with Nome and satisfied referred me this company before we start our MCT Oil Project.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

The whole process took almost a month. We made a few telecons they asked me a couple of questions and I explained my product and whole benefits. I sent them sample photos and videos. They prepared a technical layout and schedule and sent to my consideration. I approved then we started. I provided the narratives and infographics of the video and photos. We were in close touch during the process. I made the payment and received the original photos and video.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They handled the whole project very well. They informed me about the challenges, sometimes they made suggestions and they informed all steps in the process.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Cudalink is included in Amazon branding project. For all listing, we should prepare EBC. Amazon stuff checked the photos and approved EBC. . Customers loved the photos and video. They are educated and attractive also.

We specified everything in advance. It worked smoothly and without problems.

As we sell our products on the Amazon and on our site, we needed a design that accurately attracted the attention of buyers (both the young and old). We are passionate about our brand and only use the best ingredients for our products, so it was very important for us to demonstrate this in the new design. We were also looking for someone we felt understood our business and could effectively leverage their experience to maximize our marketing strategies.

After a tiring search on the Upwork platform, we were thrilled to find NOME. They have the exact aesthetic that I was looking for to design our new product line and redesign our existing line. We were attracted to their obvious deep knowledge of graphic design. Also, we saw that they had already worked in the past with brands in a similar niche and are well aware of how to attract buyers with design, whether it is Amazon, a site, or a mobile application.

At the beginning of our cooperation, we filled up the detailed requirements document for the project manager and it really helped us to drill down on what we represent as a business and what we want our logo to represent. Through our weekly discussions on the designs, we have seen how the NOME team is interested in cooperation and wants to help us achieve our goals. I would also add that their insight and knowledge has not only helped with our logo and labels but also to shape our marketing strategy moving forward as well.

Most of all, we communicated with the project manager and art Director of NOME. But, when we had a specific question about our project, the designer was involved in the communication.

Based on our market research and increased sales on Amazon and our website, the new design ideas they created for our brand has been extremely popular with our audience and customers, which is the clearest indication that our cooperation was a great success.

We haven’t launched our products on Amazon yet, so we don’t have any hard metrics. However, we’re confident that their designs will help us expand our customer appeal. When testing with focus groups, consumers have highly appreciated the new logos.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

It’s easy to communicate with them, and I’m completely satisfied. We coordinate through Skype, which allows for more effective cooperation.

I can’t express how pleased I am with the level of professionalism of the final results so far. Not only is the team intelligent, they provide excellent customer service and have enabled us to make the best design choices for our products. BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and partner for a Bulgaria-based educational institute called IT STEP. We’re part of an international effort to professionally train software engineers, network engineers, and digital designers. We also have a summer academy for kids aged 8–12. In my role, I oversee business development and management for our Bulgaria office.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with NOME?

With the summer academy approaching fast, we needed to position ourselves to be more appealing to children. Computer software can be quite dry for younger kids, so we wanted to incorporate visuals that would engage students. As a result, we approached NOME to design classroom pieces for us that we could also repurpose for promotional materials.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Over the course of a month, they developed a set of internal materials for our classes, including handouts, certificates, and instructional documents. Our teachers would send their requirements to the account manager, and the team would organize the materials. Once they completed the design and visuals, they printed the assets and sent them back to us. They also used some of those visuals to develop business cards, several brochures, and other marketing materials.

We primarily worked with an account manager but were also in contact with their CEO.

How did you come to work with NOME?

One of our connections in our Ukraine office recommended them to us, so we reached out to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about €500 (approximately $600 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Their work lasted from April–June 2018. They finished the bulk of the work within the first month and provided bonus materials afterward.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We currently have around 3,000 students enrolled for the summer, but it’s hard to attribute this to NOME’s visuals alone. The materials were only a part of the whole campaign, and our enrollment numbers also depended on our strategies and marketing channels. That being said, we’re satisfied with their work and are considering them for next year’s program.

How did NOME perform from a project management standpoint?

They were exceptionally cost-effective and provided services at a third of the price of Bulgarian companies. Additionally, I appreciated their productivity. Not only did they provide strong ideas, they pushed us to meet our goals and delivered the project quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

To reiterate my earlier comments, they have a good balance between quality and pricing, and their productivity is commendable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would have been more helpful if they had provided materials in Bulgarian. It was a bit complicated for us because we did the whole project in English. However, if they could adapt to the local language, it would ease communication and capture more nuances in the Bulgarian market.
