Noetic produced a landing page for each program (GD and MA) in both official languages (French and English) and a series of ads on Meta and Google directing to these landing pages. Over the course of six months, they handled the daily optimization of the ads and assisted us in setting up an automated way to follow up on leads through MailChimp.

We noticed a considerable increase in both the number of leads (individuals who provided their names and emails) and conversions (those applying to our programs) compared to last year.

The communication was efficient and prompt, with emails consistently answered within two days or less. They fulfilled their promises in a reasonable timeframe, requiring minimal explanations from us (there was no wasted time in unnecessary meetings). They were also flexible in addressing our emerging needs.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the Digital Marketing Coordinator on the marketing and communications team at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. Within my role, I manage our social media channels and plan and create content for various campaigns, blog posts, and our website pages.

What challenge were you trying to address with Noetic Marketer?

We needed someone to focus on our paid advertising strategy.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Noetic Marketer handles our paid advertising on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google. They work with our Director of Marketing & Communications to discuss our online strategy before running ads, and I work with them on some of the content creation i.e. email drip campaigns. These efforts support recruitment for our various programs, so we inform them of our target student enrollment.

From there, they work on the tactical execution. That means designing the ads, writing the copy, and setting up the paid campaigns with the proper targeting settings and duration. We provide them with a certain amount of funds for each campaign and fully trust them to manage it accordingly.

What is the team composition? 

Andres (Co-Founder) is the lead for us, but Natalia (Content Marketing & SEO Specialist) and Bryan (Paid Media & Data Analytics Specialist) also work on Telfer content. 

How did you come to work with Noetic Marketer?

We went through an RFP process, looking at other providers to make sure that we were getting the best rate and services. 

Right off the bat, we knew that we were motivated to work with entrepreneurs like Andres. Andres was also a member of our paid strategy team before he started Noetic Marketer. It made sense for him to continue working on our projects through his own agency because he had the background experience.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in May 2019, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been extremely happy with what Noetic Marketer has been able to achieve. A lot of the work that they’ve done has helped us fill up each of our programs, including our undergraduate, master's, and certificate programs. Twice a year, we offer a digital marketing certificate session for students who want to get more experience, and we’ve never had a problem with getting the right number of students. 

Besides that, we never have to worry about their visual assets or copy because they all line up with our brand strategy. We love working with them because they execute extremely well.

How did Noetic Marketer perform from a project management standpoint?

The team has done exceptionally here. We don’t have constant conversations around updates because we fully trust them to know our goals and execute on their expertise effectively. Sure, we’ll have preliminary conversations to set up the audience, but they’re the ones running things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve worked with them for a couple of years now, and enjoy working with them. Each team member is passionate about their specific area of expertise, and they all use their strengths well together to deliver on our needs. It’s clear that they care a lot about what they do and want to see results just as much as we do.

As for Andres, I definitely think that being an alumnus from Telfer motivates him. He wants to see his school succeed, and we definitely feel valued by his team. It feels like they’re not an agency that we are a client of, but rather they are an extension of our team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think they need to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to know what your goals are so that they can make sure you’re reaching your targets. That could be obtaining clientele loyalty, getting in more leads, or something else. They’ll walk you through the stages of a digital marketing strategy so that you can feel prepared.

I’d also add that the more money you put into the work, the higher your ROI. You could start with a small series of ads for $50 to see just how much they already enhance your online profile. Then, increase accordingly. As long as you have a niche audience with specific attributes you’re after, they can tailor your ads to get those returns.
