We provided the whole design for the platform. They provided a full architecture document and solutions to what we needed completed. The details for this project will stay confidential for the time being.

Outside of Rubicon, 2 full time individuals and several part-timers.

As the project is still ongoing, not yet. However, we are extremely happy with the result as it does exactly what we were expecting.

All deliverables came on time and communication was perfect.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the founder of Locnest and was the CEO from May 2016 until October 2019. The company offers residential lease guarantee services to Canadian landlords and tenants.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire noesis digital?

Our startup needed a web-based custom software solution that would allow us to properly manage every process of our business model, i.e lease guarantee applications, approvals, activations, terminations, renewals, and claims. We wanted every part of it to be done online on the system, including credit checking of the tenants for which we would guarantee the lease.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to put in place the whole system that would allow us to launch our business. We needed the system so we could start selling lease guarantees to our customers. We wanted it to be available at all times on the cloud so we could easily access it from any device from a laptop to a tablet or a smartphone, so that we could manage everything from anywhere.

We needed everything to be extremely secure since we would be handling credit information belonging to ours customers and coming from Equifax. We wanted the system to include sophisticated logging of everything going on with the guarantees so that we could be able to view a complete timeline of what happened for each every lease guarantees.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Noesis was recommended to us by our Senior Digital Consultant with whom most of the business analysis of our system was done.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

A system requirements document was produced for them, and from there we started collaborating with them so they could design, develop, test and deploy the solution. Noesis was involved in pretty much every technical aspect of the project, from designing the database, to setting up most of the production environment, to designing and implementing the backend API, to integrating the tens of email templates that we needed for all the processes in the solution, or setting up storage of large files on AWS, and much more. We collaborated with them for over 2 years so far, through which tens of deployments and features were released until the system became what it is today.

What was the team composition?

The team composition for the project was one project manager, 2 backend developers, one frontend developer, and one system administrator. The amount of involvement of each member in the team varied over time, but the project manager, one of the backend developers and the frontend developer were involved on a full time basis for the whole duration of the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Without that project, there was no business at all. The system that was put in place is what allowed to start selling lease guarantees to our customers.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The team was extremely efficient and reliable. We could easily and quickly reach them on Slack for a rapid, immediate intervention most of the time was an issue occurred. The team was extremely diligent, transparent, and was very good at respecting delivery deadlines that we had previously agreed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their reliability, availability, and transparency. Their technical knowledge made them extremely good assets in the successful delivery of that project.
