Once the modeling phase was complete, everything was rendered in Unreal Engine, giving the cars an incredibly lifelike presence. What impressed us most was their ability to capture not only the shape of each vehicle but also its personality the way the curves interacted with light, the realistic depth of materials, and even subtle nuances in the reflections.

The team at NIPSAPP didn’t just take our ideas and start coding  they immersed themselves in what we do. We had initial onboarding meetings where we walked them through our journeys, shared photos, videos, testimonials, and even raw audio recorded by our guides in the field. Their creative team built out a vision for a modular VR storytelling platform, beginning with one of our signature trips: the Andes to Amazon journey in Peru.

The deliverables were extensive and deeply tailored. They developed a virtual reality experience where users could move through three different “moments” of the journey — standing atop a high-altitude mountain pass with llamas grazing nearby, paddling silently through rainforest waterways at dusk, and finally, sitting in a candlelit meal setup with a Quechua family. Each scene was built with incredible detail  down to the ambient sounds and local dialects spoken softly in the background.

Alongside this, they created an AR version for mobile, which allowed our sales team to bring destinations to life using brochures and printed materials as markers. Users could scan a photo and instantly see it come alive  clouds moving, rivers flowing, local guides narrating  all layered on the static image they were holding. They also built a backend interface where we could upload new content, rotate destinations seasonally, and localize the experience for different markets.

The impact was both emotional and practical. Our travel consultants reported that the VR demo became a key closing tool during in-office consultations. Clients who had been undecided often committed after experiencing just a few minutes of the simulation. One couple even said, “we felt like we had already been there, and now we just needed to finish the story in real life.”

On the digital side, the AR-enhanced brochures were a major hit at a global travel expo we attended. Attendees engaged with our booth longer than any previous event, and several travel agencies asked for partnerships simply because they hadn’t seen this kind of storytelling from a boutique adventure brand before.

What’s more, our internal team found the content management system easy to use  we didn’t have to constantly go back to NIPSAPP for small updates. Their solution allowed us to evolve the platform as we expanded into new destinations.

What impressed us most was the way NIPSAPP blended storytelling and technology without losing the soul of what we do. Travel is emotional  it’s about wonder, vulnerability, connection  and they somehow translated that into their technical execution. In one of our review calls, their developer asked, what should this scene feel like emotionally? That question said everything. They weren’t just building features; they were building moments.

They were also incredibly adaptive. When we suggested a subtle change to the lighting of a rainforest scene something most teams would see as minor they not only implemented it, but enhanced the entire scene with bioluminescent effects to match the ecological setting. That level of care was rare and deeply appreciated.

If there’s one area we’d like to see grow, it would be faster documentation for internal training. Our team had a few hiccups initially trying to understand how to replace content and update scenes using the CMS. The system was powerful but took a bit of trial and error. That said, once we flagged it, NIPSAPP responded quickly with walkthroughs and even offered to conduct a live training session, which helped smooth things out.

The scope was multi-dimensional. It began with ideation workshops where we shared our goals and user expectations. NIPSAPP then proposed a layered solution using both AR and VR technologies. The key deliverables included a custom-built VR exhibition space where users could navigate using gestures or standard controllers, and an AR mobile experience that used both marker-based and markerless tech to let users explore individual design elements in their own physical environments.

On the backend, they developed a content management system for our team to upload new designs, modify metadata, and control what’s visible in the experience. They also handled localization so we could present in multiple languages depending on our audience. The platform was built primarily using Unity and integrated advanced shaders, lighting, and real-time physics simulations. They also delivered extensive testing support across devices, including Oculus and Android/iOS platforms.

The results were clear the moment we used the platform during our investor event. Users were not just watching our work they were moving through it, engaging with it, and experiencing the designs from perspectives we hadn’t even considered before. One of our investors described the experience as unexpectedly real and almost tangible.

We also noticed a marked increase in engagement. Compared to previous presentations using traditional formats, we saw more feedback, deeper questions, and a higher retention rate during the showcase sessions. Internally, the platform became a valuable tool for client demonstrations, especially during remote meetings. It made a significant difference in how our designs were received and understood.

What stood out most to us was their ability to think beyond the code. While their technical capability is undoubtedly strong, it was their design thinking and empathy that made the biggest impression. They didn’t just execute tasks; they tried to understand the why behind each feature, how it would be used, and how to make the interaction feel natural.

Another standout trait was their creativity. In one instance, we were stuck on how to simulate a specific texture interaction in VR. Not only did they come up with a solution, but they also enhanced it with subtle visual feedback and ambient sound, making it even more immersive than we imagined. They clearly cared about the craft and the UX.

If there’s one area we’d suggest refining, it would be the technical documentation. While the product builds were consistently delivered and well-executed, the written documentation sometimes lagged behind or lacked clarity for our internal developers and designers trying to build on top of the system later.

That said, when we raised this during one of our retrospective sessions, they were receptive and actually added a dedicated technical writer to the project soon after. So while it was a short-term gap, they responded quickly and solved it proactively  which, in itself, was a sign of professionalism.

The VR component was more ambitious it placed users in a 360° environment where they could experience the flow of a game, including team formations, interactions, and live commentary-like audio from past sessions. NIPSAPP also delivered a built-in onboarding feature within the VR space, acting as a virtual orientation tool for new users, along with backend tools for content updates and performance tracking.

We saw immediate signs that the immersive features were working. Users who engaged with the AR tool were more likely to book games in unfamiliar locations, and new users often mentioned the VR simulation as the reason they felt confident joining their first match. Internally, we saw fewer first-time no-shows, which had been an issue before. The immersive walkthrough helped eliminate uncertainty. From a brand engagement perspective, our social channels saw increased sharing of the AR visualizations—especially during our expansion events which boosted organic reach. It was clear that people were not only using the tools, but also talking about them.

They didn’t treat any feedback as friction. Instead, they welcomed it.
