Our website hadn't been updated for 10+ years, and we were looking to have a website that reflected Kids' Care Club's vision, mission, and brand better to prospective families in San Diego, CA. After our web design, we work with Nimbletoad for ongoing SEO and marketing work.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked for web designers in San Diego, and ultimately chose Nimbletoad based on their design and expertise in the field of SEO, backed with the previous projects and success of the company.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
The initial part of our work with Nimbletoad was web design. We had weekly meetings with Drew where we discussed our vision for our new brand and website, and each week thereafter was spent crafting our design preferences. Drew came back each week with multiple page designs based on our feedback to effectively portray our brand. What we ended up with was a website that has exceeded our expectations in terms of design and function, which more effectively serves our current families and links prospective families to our services.
After completing the design of the website, we have continued working with Drew on ongoing SEO and marketing needs. This SEO work has greatly improved our Google Search rankings, and we can see this through reviewing the metrics in our Key Performance Indicators that we review together with a dashboard that show the impacts of the work. On a monthly basis, we target different elements of marketing (content plan, paid ads, etc.) and see the impact of them.

We have just worked and communicated with Drew from Nimbletoad. During our meetings, he communicates any design changes or copywriting needs with his team. Drew works effectively with his team to have quick turnarounds with any changes to the website that need to be done or any copy that needs to be written.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
With a website that more effectively communicates Kids' Care Club's mission and links prospective families to our services, we have noticed an increase in interest in the community. We have a much more professional digital media presence, our SEO has increased substantially and we have noticed increases in our rankings, increasing traffic to the website around 300%.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Drew is efficient and gets things communicated with his done to complete necessary tasks in a very timely manner. With a timeline agreed upon by both Kids' Care Club and Nimbletoad, we were able to get the redesign done by our deadline. Ongoing SEO work with Nimbletoad has been organized on a monthly basis and each month we see the work being done.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The level of expertise provided by the company is what we found most unique. Every question asked of Drew is responded to with a thorough, understandable explanation that demonstrates his high level of expertise.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Drew is efficient and always gets things done in the expected timeline. No large suggestions, the only thing that comes to mind is sometimes having to initiate a meeting for our monthly meetings to discuss ongoing SEO work.

Drew worked with me to craft a clear message through a series of discovery calls. Time was taken to understand what I wanted to convey through the website. Once the message began to take shape, Drew and his team developed a website that clearly outlined my message and positioned my clients as the hero.
We reviewed the website further and created content that users can download to aid them in their home purchase/sales process. Drew also had me add video content describing how clients would benefit from using my services.

I’m the CEO of Shield Legal LP.
What challenge were you trying to address with Nimbletoad?
I needed a company that was experienced in programming and backend development work to help us with our digital marketing efforts. I needed a partner who had skills in certain databases and software platforms.
Additionally, we wanted our internal team to be able to take over any of the work that they did so that we didn’t have to continually outsource those tasks.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, we had some calls with them to review the work that needed to be done, and we explained our business model, the platforms that we use, and what we were looking for in the finished product.
Nimbletoad did some design and development work, backend coding, and marketing automation. The team helped us to optimize our stack by getting the right plugins and versions of WordPress.
They also built all of the plugins and options that we could use internally to get our websites built and connected them with our backend systems. Additionally, they provide training.

Drew (Founder) was my main point of contact.

I contacted a number of business colleagues of mine in the area who had similar needs in digital marketing, and a couple of them recommended Drew.

We worked with Nimbletoad from February 2019–May 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From a revenue standpoint, we’ve been able to scale our business faster because we have the platforms dialed in and connected. Additionally, Nimbletoad trained our staff properly, so we’re able to move at a very fast pace. We’ve generated a lot of revenue from our investment with them.
How did Nimbletoad perform from a project management standpoint?
The team was very responsive. We connected them internally to our Slack and created some channels. We also used monday.com for project development boards. We typically had weekly calls to review deliverables or ask questions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team is very fast. I’ve worked with a lot of developers, designers programmers, and the nice thing about Nimbletoad was that they were very well rounded.
So, there wasn’t anything that we were using or doing that they didn’t have the ability to understand intrinsically, and they helped us to move very quickly so that we could finish the project and take the project in-house.

No, I have no suggestions. The engagement was very seamless.

Drew and his team took over management of our website after the language that our first developer used became obsolete. Nimbletoad was tasked to rewrite code for virtually the entire site. They were also indispensable in improving the functionality and user experience. We do not sell B2B so the task was to create a virtual catalog but due to our business it had to be visual and creative.

1. Rewrite old code and bring it to a current platform. 2. Improve Functionality. 3. Develop specific tasks such as sample ordering and customer submissions. 4. While our work is not time sensitive we needed dependability.

Nimbletoad put together a strategy and an outline of what we needed to start, move forward and build our business. They met with us continuously and then presented a series of programs to follow for the business.
These programs were everything from creating a website, social media plan, marketing, goals, inventory mgmt, operations and finances for our small business.

In the beginning, we just wanted to get started and up and running. Drew and Nimbletoad helped us reign in our desire to move quickly and the outline and development plan that Nimbletoad presented, and continues to review and present, helps us stay on track and gives us a different perspective.

Nimbletoad has worked with a number of small business in addition to other larger ones. There were a series of meetings where Drew and Nimbletoad learned everything about Serena Paddle Sports. He asked specifics about the business and what we wanted to accomplish. Then Drew went over an outline of what Serena would need to launch and bring out step by step.
Nimbletoad designed, developed and help place content and information with the Website, launching the site, marketing the company, organizing our productline and e-commerce, promote branding and sourcing tradeshows and expos and analysis of competitors.
There was a specific outline to follow when programs would come through and Nimbletoad gave advise for each item in the program.
What was the team composition?
Drew led the meetings with me and he worked one on one with me to get a complete understanding of Serena Paddle Sports. Drew presented the programs that came form Nimbletoad and he meets, calls and goes over things with me regularly.

Nimbletoad was there from the beginning and start of Serena Paddle Sports. Drew may not develop everyone one of his clients the same way he did with me and Serena Paddle Sports. I had and have specific needs and Nimble toad was able to help and continues to do so that allows me to do what I do best, and get the help from Nimbletoad in areas that I am not familiar with.
Serena Paddle Sports would not be a functioning and stable company if Nimbletoad was not there and the way they developed and launched our website, and marketing and strategy plans.

Drew and Nimbletoad was efficient and effective with Serena Paddle Sports and there were available when and where needed. They were able to set appointments and be extremely timely and responsive.

I’m the office manager for Ana Gomez Therapy PLLC and the AGATE Institute. We’re a private psychological practice, and we also provide trainings online and in-person worldwide.
What challenge were you trying to address with Nimbletoad?
We needed two new websites.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Nimbletoad looked at our existing website and really took it to the next level by making it modern and user-friendly. They determined how to get our messaging out there so that it was logical and easy to follow.
They also created a new website for the AGATE Institute.
What is the team composition?
We just worked with Drew (Founder). I don’t know who he might have used to help him.
How did you come to work with Nimbletoad?
We hired them years ago for our first website. Drew designed the site and built the merchant side, which was just unbelievable. He also helped us get some pictures for the site because he does photography on the side. We wanted someone close to where we are, and I believe we found Nimbletoad by just looking online. We saw their websites and liked what we saw.
How much have you invested with them?
We ended up getting two websites, and with all of the build-ins, the merchant side of it, and connecting everything, it came out to around $11,000–$12,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We initially engaged them in 2012 or 2013. It’s been an ongoing relationship; anytime we need help, get into a fix, or want advice, they always seem to have a solution.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They provided personalized services. Drew is very patient and listens to what you need, and he then expands on what he thinks you might need as well. With all of the ideas coming together, he just makes it work.
How did Nimbletoad perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed way and above. These websites were done in 4–6 weeks, and any of the delays were on our side, trying to get updated information to them. As far as deadlines and communication, it was perfect.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Drew could actually put up with Ana Gomes (my wife) and me. He had a sense of humor and could deal with everything we threw at him.

No, there isn’t anything I can think of.

Bring your thoughts and ideas, and Drew will take it to the next level. You’ll be up to date and ready to roll in whatever endeavor you’re trying to do.

Email Automation and Trackable sending with a high reputation rating and low bounce rate. iPad and Online Owner Referral program with drip email automation and delayed email response.
Warm up Owner Referral agents and remind owners to continue to refer more friends and family. Landing pages with ecommerce functionality to sell vacation packages online. Website with ecommerce and FareHarbor integration to sell theme park and attractions online.
What was the team composition?
Nimbletoad along with our Sales & Marketing team leadership. Driven by key stakeholders who built the deliverables.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Total emails Sent in 2019 = 1,819,451 with a 91.3% Delivery Rate and a 0.48% Bounce Rate equals we are sending qualified emails to good email addresses. We average a 97%.
Reputation with our email provider which means we run a clean email database. This reputation goes up with each delivered email and down with each spam report or bounced email. Having a good reputation means we have a high delivery rate and the email content has value to the guest.
On average we sent 35K emails per week over (5) Campaigns 5% to 26%. Open Rates depending on campaign audience. Owner Referral Marketing Automation Engine with iPad deployment with email follow up. We collected 1489 total leads with this program while it was operational. This program had a $2350 VPG.

Not at this time, I think Nimbletoad continues to improve us as a sales and marketing team.
