Wildly Rooted
OBJECTIVE // To create a brand identity presence for a wellness company on a mission to create clean, high quality and natural products that help support one’s body.
BRANDING SOLUTION // Formally known as The Elderberry Syrup Lady, it was time for this brand to have a massive refresh. We started with a name change to help support this brands future goals of offering more than elderberry products and as a result Wildly Rooted was born. Analyzing the space and their competitors, we really wanted this brand to stand out and be a leader in this space. After lots of research, we decided to create a bright, fun vibrant brand that is also reflective of the owner’s personality.
PACKAGING SOLUTION // Throughout the the many strategy sessions we conducted, we noticed one thing in particular - all competitors were sticking to an 'apothecary like' look and feel. While we also love this, it became clear that there was an opportunity to stand out and create something truly unique. This resulted in packaging that is fun, bold, colorful, vibrant and very much in line with the brand identity. We carried this strategy and execution through to each additional deliverable and continue to support the brand as it forges forward toward its goal of creating high quality products without utilizing fillers and preservatives.
SOCIAL MEDIA AND CONTENT CREATION // Social media is a powerful platform helping brands establish an emotional connection with its audience. With Wildly Rooted, we wanted to capture and create content (a mix of graphics, short format videos, and professional imagery) foucsed on creating value. By gearing our content towards certain strategic pillars such as education, we have and continue to help strengthen the Wildly Rooted community through engagement.

Rookie Wellness
OBJECTIVE // To create a brand identity system for a wellness company on a mission to eradicate wellness intimidation for all human women.
BRANDING SOLUTION // We were asked to help Rookie bring their vision of creating an easier path to wellness for all women to life. After months of discovery and research, we created a modern, feminine and youthful brand featuring a sans serif font that offered just the right amount of personality and edge. Once the branding was flushed out, we started designing packaging for their full line of supplements.
PACKAGING SOLUTION // We set out to create packaging so beautiful that women would want to display them in their homes. To do so, we left appropriate amounts of negative space which allowed the color palette and typography to shine resulting in packaging vessels that feel airy and modern with touches of elegance.

L'Ostrica
OBJECTIVE // To create a brand identity for a sophisticated and seasonally driven meal delivery service that brings the restaurant experience to your home.
SOLUTION // L’Ostrica means oyster in Italian. Inspired by the sea, we introduced a rich, navy color to anchor the brand with warmer, secondary tones like beige and goldenrod to incite comfort and relaxation. The food L’Ostrica creates is decadent, beautiful and fills your soul. To capture this element of the brand, we used a typographic treatment that was both elegant and approachable.

Chow Boy
OBJECTIVE // Craft a brand identity that reflected the playful feel of a bodega offering ready-made meals with fun twists of flavor and delicious uniqueness.
SOLUTION // Playful. Bold. Fun. Throughout our strategy sessions and even into our mood-boarding phase, these keywords became staples for the brand. From the color palette to the humorous illustrations, we positioned the brand in a way where audiences of all ages could relate.

The Agency
OBJECTIVE // Develop branding for a high-end restaurant located in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah with an emphasis on modern elegance.
SOLUTION // We first introduced a cool color palette that contrasts with a rust orange to provide some warmth to the brand. After seeing the interior design plans, we were inspired by the shapes of the modern furniture chosen, so we elected to introduce similar geometric patterns that would tie in nicely and create a memorable experience. The illustrated ram, which was inspired through conversation with the owner and his family, helps anchor the identity and is a symbol of strength, achievement, and the ability to overcome obstacles.

Central 9th Market
OBJECTIVE // Create a brand identity for a local fresh market-based in Salt Lake City, Utah that values its partners as much as its customers.
SOLUTION // Fresh should be simple. We drew on this idea and decided to introduce line illustrations that were clearly identifiable and welcoming but added a feeling of depth to the brand. We steered clear of the typical, red or green color palettes that often define fresh markets and opted instead for a color palette that highlighted growth, prosperity, health, and friendliness.

Chilito
OBJECTIVE // To breathe new life into a brand identity for a pop-up turned brick and mortar sensation serving tacos y más to the masses.
SOLUTION // As we developed the Chilito brand identity, we drew much inspiration from the fun and playful yet passionate and sincere founders. With Los Angeles, California roots and a love for grunge vibes, we established a bright color palette, and fun illustrations that represented the hip LA culture and the key ingredients their delicious food was made from.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Managing Partner of Steven Rasnick Interior Design. We provide design and art advisory services for residential and commercial clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire NiceDay, and what were your goals?
We hired Nice Day to develop our brand and establish a visual identity for our business that we would use for collateral and communication. The visual identity was to be a reflection of our work and represent our brand to current and prospective clients.
How did you select this vendor?
We identified three potential firms to work with based on colleague recommendations and a search of the local market place. We met with two of those firms and received proposals from each. After evaluating the proposals and discussing them with each firm, we selected Nice Day based on the comprehensive scope of their proposal, a review of their representative work and the overall value.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
We provided Nice Day a creative brief that described our company along with examples of our work. Nice Day developed a Mood Board that we reviewed and discussed with them as input to the creation of our visual identity. Nice Day presented multiple logo concepts that were iterated until we were satisfied with a final logo that represented our brand. Nice Day presented multiple concepts for collateral (business cards, note cards, email signatures, letterhead and yard signs) that were iterated until we were satisfied with final designs.
Nice Day worked with a local printer to produce the business cards, note cards and yard signs. Nice Day developed images and stories that were used to launch our brand on social media (Instagram and Pinterest). Nice Day iteratively designed our website, created it and deployed it to production, providing us a tutorial for maintaining the website. Nice Day delivered us a Brand Bible that we use to ensure consistent communication using our brand.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked primarily with Blandine M. the founder and Creative Director of Nice Day to develop the visual identity, assets and final deliverables. We also worked with Daniel G. who supported the project through multiple stages and provided expertise related to website development and implementation.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are very pleased with our brand; it is a great representation of our work. We have received very positive feedback on our collateral and website and both have resulted in contacts by prospective clients. Our portfolio has increased, and our clients have pointed to how our website presents our work as a reason they selected us.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had regular and frequent meetings with Nice Day in which they iteratively reviewed proposed designs and deliverables with us and we provided our feedback. We also communicated over email. They kept us informed of their timelines and progress, and they consistently delivered on time.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Nice Day stayed focused on ensuring we were completely satisfied with their work. They presented alternatives that incorporated our feedback, and we are pleased with the final results. It was convenient to be able to work with a single firm to deliver our necessary brand components.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
It would be great if Nice Day were able to provide more customization using the SquareSpace platform our website is built on. There were a few instances our requests could not be delivered as they required customization.

Please describe your company and your position there.
L'Ostrica offers sophisticated dining experiences through delivery and private catering. I am the co-founder and co-owner of L'Ostrica.
For what projects/services did your company hire NiceDay?
NiceDay was hired to provide brand development services for our new company.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal in selecting NiceDay was to establish a strong brand identity that we believed was representative of the products and services we provide. Due to the market situation, it was essential that we partner with someone who could move swiftly while still providing a cohesive and striking brand for our launch.
How did you select NiceDay?
NiceDay was selected for this project because of several factors. Their deep experience, constant research and confidence allows them to move with speed. They also bring a fresh yet grounded approach to design, providing creative ideas while also taking the target audience into account. They're also extremely collaborative and just all around nice to work with.
Describe the project in detail.
- The project began with an intake session organized by NiceDay. They conducted interviews with my business partner and I to get an understanding of our business plan.
- From there, they conducted their own research, built mood boards for us, and then gathered more feedback on their early leans to inform their design process.
- We were then presented with a handful of design options, each distinct but having a common thread.
- Once we selected a design, NiceDay finalized the design, ultimately delivering a comprehensive brand bible that we could immediately put into use—everything from colors, fonts, visual elements to the all-important logo.
What was the team composition?
Two people from NiceDay were involved with this project, the Creative Director/Founder and the Strategy Lead. The total number of people involved was four.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our clients continue to compliment us on the brand months after we have launched. NiceDay laid a strong foundation for us to present ourselves as an upscale option for dining in our market.
We also believe that NiceDay was able to create a brand that not only resonates with our audience but reflects who we are as people.
From social media to print elements to our website, we've been able to establish a consistent, compelling look and feel as a result of the work they performed.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
NiceDay was clear on upcoming delivery dates and set our expectations throughout the process. We communicated via Slack, which was extremely helpful during collaboration, particularly during COVID crisis.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
As mentioned in the Solution section, NiceDay demonstrated an ability to deliver an impactful brand to us and did so collaboratively. Being able to not only deliver but to be a great partner in the process is a powerful combination.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the owner of a bar and a restaurant in the Salt Lake City area. My primary function is to manage the finances of the entities as well as direct strategies for growth and oversee the general operations.
For what projects/services did your company hire NiceDay?
We hired NiceDay to develop a concept and brand for a new location for a Bar and Restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City.
What were your goals for this project?
Given the local market, we were looking for brand development that is relatively unique while also tying into what we wanted the business to become and what we already have in the area.
How did you select NiceDay?
We selected NiceDay because we have admired the work Blandine Mathieu has created in this space over the last several years. We also wanted a process that was predictable without the added work of mico managing brand development.
NiceDay was a perfect fit as they understand how to take core strategies and the essence of the business and apply them to the design aspect.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We started with designing the layout of the physical space and conceptualized the offerings.
From this, we started the brand development with NiceDay, which included Brand Research, a succinct approach to three brand concepts with the options for three revisions, graphic elements that are associated with the brand and then compiled for real-world application in our brand bible.
What was the team composition?
Our point of contact was Blandine, who was also the designer which made the process seamless.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We view the success in several ways, with the most tangible being that NiceDay took our goals and ideas and created a timeless brand for our business. Other key points of success would be our time and budget were met with the same attention to detail and consideration.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The process was as easy as we could have asked for. With the initial time spent on the Research, we selected a direction with the first three options presented and refined one of the three down to meet our expectations.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The creativity and know-how to connect concepts to goals are the most impressive traits of working with NiceDay. It was unique to find a group that has business acumen along with this level of creativity.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Nothing noteworthy.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The level of detail and attention to the project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There's not a lot I would change. Perhaps a better understanding of the UK consumer but it was an unusual project seeing as we are based in the UK (not US) so they are not to be blamed.
