BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the public relations manager for a luxury retail jewelry company. We sell 18-karat gold, gemstone, and diamond jewelry directly to consumers. I do marketing, social media, and so on.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Nevelis?

We’re a small company. We had the products, but no one knew about us. We didn’t have a website or social media presence.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Nevelis has done everything for us from the bottom up. First, they created our website and online presence, and did all of the content for the site as well. They’ve connected us with a full team for things like SEO, Shopify, and more. Essentially, they’ve done all the back-office stuff that a business requires. We didn’t give them anything, so I assume they built the website from scratch. All we had was our business name and what we wanted for the domain.

For SEO, we gave them some basic keywords. We wanted “affordable luxury” as one of our focuses, and they came up with the rest. We were more general, and they focused on “engagement ring” as well so we could break out into the wedding world.

What is the team composition?

There are maybe 6–7 people working on the team; we have someone for everything. I’m in touch with the whole team, so I’ve had the opportunity to speak to everybody. However, I speak more directly to Michaël (Founder, CEO & Creative Director). He does a lot of things.

How did you come to work with Nevelis?

They started working with our company before I did.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in September 2020, and the partnership is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We went from having no visibility to getting a lot of visibility. Every week, we get updates on exposure and clicks, and we’re able to see the numbers increasing. They’ve connected us to someone who writes blogs, which has really helped as well.

How did Nevelis perform from a project management standpoint?

Everybody has been on top of things. We’re in different time zones, but everyone gets everything done. We use Slack to communicate, which makes it very easy to ask questions and get information instantaneously.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really accessible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t really have much to compare it to, so I can’t answer properly. Nonetheless, we’re satisfied with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They know what they are doing, so trust them. Putting your faith in their team will make you worry less.
